Fahadh Faasil Adds Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG To His Luxury Car Collection

Fahadh Faasil and wife Nazriya were seen taking delivery of their new Ruby Red Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG in Kochi. Fahadh Faasil, one of Malayalam cinema's most respected actors, is known not just for his acting but also for his love of cars. He recently added another luxury vehicle to his impressive collection, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. A video of Fahadh and his wife, Nazriya Nazim, taking delivery of the new SUV has now gone viral on social media. Although the couple reportedly purchased the vehicle last year, the video was released recently by Mercedes-Benz Coastal Star, the dealership in Kochi. In the clip, the couple is seen arriving in style in another one of Fahadh's high-end cars, a Lamborghini Urus, which he was among the first to reportedly own in the Malayalam film industry. The dealership had arranged a special setup to celebrate the occasion, with decorations and a ceremonial delivery. Further in the clip, Fahadh is seen interacting with the staff, expressing his excitement and sharing how owning a G-Wagen had always been a dream for him. After completing the paperwork, the couple unveiled the vehicle, which was covered in a satin cloth. The G63 AMG they purchased stands out with its striking Ruby Red (or Rubellite Red) paint, a rare colour choice for this model. While most G-Wagens are seen in black or dark green, this unique red shade is more commonly seen on Maybach models. After the unveiling, the couple drove the SUV home, marking another proud addition to Fahadh's luxury garage. Features of the G63 AMG The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a powerful and premium SUV. It is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 585 PS of power and 850 Nm of torque. The car comes with an automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels, making it suitable for both city drives and off-road adventures. The model Fahadh bought is from the previous-generation G63 AMG lineup. With Mercedes now offering electric versions of the G-Wagen, this could be one of the last few opportunities for car lovers to own the classic petrol-powered version. Fahadh's Love for Cars Fahadh Faasil has long shown a genuine passion for automobiles. According to Cartoq, his garage includes a Lamborghini Urus, a Porsche 911 Carrera S (992 generation), a Mini Countryman, a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and a Land Rover Defender 90. The actor is not only a big name in Malayalam cinema but also enjoys a strong following in the Tamil and Telugu industries. His car choices reflect both luxury and personality and the G63 AMG adds yet another layer to his impressive collection. Fahadh likely spent over Rs 4.5 crore (ex-showroom) for the G63 AMG, further proving his status as both a cinema icon and a true auto enthusiast. All-new Mercedes-Benz G-Class lands in Singapore with a fully electric version, Lifestyle News

The latest iteration of Mercedes-Benz's legendary G-Class SUV has landed in Singapore, and for the first time, there is a fully electric version available. The new G-Class range was unveiled to the public at G-Haus, a pop-up event held at Gillman Barracks from August 1 to 3. Aside from checking out the new G-Class, visitors could also enjoy artisanal coffee and bites at the G-Cafe by ÁTIPICO, as well as shop for Mercedes-Benz merchandise at the G-Haus Boutique. The main highlights were the cars though, and Mercedes-Benz presented the three versions of the G-Class that it will be offering for sale here: the classic G500, the electric G580, and the high-performance G63 AMG. While officially regarded as a new generation, the design of the G-Class remains fundamentally unchanged from its origin predecessor, the military-use G-Wagen from 1979. That means the same boxy styling, and rugged details like the exposed door hinges and externally-mounted spare wheel at the rear. Mercedes-Benz has even made sure that the doors make the same sound as before when they are opened or closed, such is their attention to detail in keeping the G-Class faithful to its roots. The interior however has been completely modernised, and comes with the latest luxury trappings that one would expect from a high-end Mercedes-Benz. These include Nappa leather upholstery, haptic button controls on the steering wheel, and a premium Burmester 3D surround sound audio system. The G-Class also gets the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) operating system software for the first time, which incorporates the 'Hey Mercedes' voice assistant. The system, along with the infotainment controls, are accessed via the 12.3-inch touchscreen, which is combined with the 12.3-inch driver instrument display to look like one seamless large screen. The G-Class range starts with the G500, which features a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six petrol engine that produces 443hp and 560Nm of torque. It also comes with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, which includes an integrated starter-generator that produces an additional 20bhp and 200Nm of torque. As a result, the G500 can go from 0-100km/h in a brisk 5.4 seconds. Meanwhile, the G580 with EQ Technology, as it is officially called, marks the first time that Mercedes-Benz has introduced an electric drivetrain to the G-Class. Its unique setup of having four electric motors, one at each wheel, means that the car is capable of stunts like being able to spin around in a circle to get out of tight spots, a move that Mercedes-Benz calls the G-Turn. The four motors combine to produce a total of 579hp and a colossal 1,164Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds. Other neat tricks that the G580 can perform include G-Steering, which can control the torque sent to each individual wheel, allowing it to perform tight turns, and Intelligent Offroad Crawl, which allows, among other things, the car to go up a 45-degree slope in reverse with minimal driver input. Performance fanatics would probably gravitate towards the G63 AMG, which boasts a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 577hp and 850Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds. It also comes with the usual AMG sporty bits, like a unique grille and bumper design, big wheels and AMG badges everywhere. All three G-Class variants are now available for sale, with the G500 and G580 both retailing at the same price of $782,888 inclusive of COE (as of August 2025). The G63 AMG meanwhile has a starting price of $1,062,888 with COE, before any options are added. [[nid:717011]] No part of this article can be reproduced without permission from AsiaOne.

'75% G-Wagons sold in India are personalised': Santosh Iyer explains Mercedes' 'hyper-custom' strategy

Mercedes' R&D head Manu Saale and India head Santosh Iyer with the G63 Collector's Edition. Based on an interaction with Arpit Mahendra. Mercedes-Benz India is focusing on hyper-personalisation as part of its strategy, as seen in the recently launched AMG G63 Collector's Edition. We spoke with Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, and Manu Saale, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), about how customer preferences are changing, the engineering work that goes into these special editions, and how the brand is growing in the electric vehicle space in India. Hyper-Personalisation is more than just a buzzword Mercedes-Benz is betting big on personalisation, both in the physical and digital departments. 'The G63 AMG is the largest selling engine in our portfolio, and 75% of the Gs we sell in India are personalized,' said Santosh Iyer. Taking this a step further, the G63 Grand Edition allows customers to engrave their names (or even those of family members) on the car's grab handle. This is the first time the company has offered such customisation in India. But the idea of hyper-personalisation doesn't end with physical modifications. As Manu Saale explained, 'The word hyper-personalisation also has a digital spin… all the Mercedes cars, with the MB OS architecture, allow you to personalise so many things in the car, just like a consumer electronic device would - except it's done the Mercedes way.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo India-specific design, engineering behind collector's edition The G63 Collector's Edition offers a host of India-specific customized upgrades over the model, including two new colour options. Speaking on how the specific changes were planned and executed, Saale explained 'The brief to the engineering teams was: within a given timeframe, what inspiration can we draw from around us?' 'One of the first ideas was the onset of the monsoon season. The Manufacturer Green and Manufacturer Red colours were inspired by the lush greenery and the colour of Indian soil.' Behind the execution lies Indian R&D. 'The engineering was done out of Pune and Mangalore,' Saale noted, pointing out the collaborative effort of their design and R&D teams in India. On the capability front, Saale spoke about a key update: 'For the first time, we have introduced launch control in the G63 AMG with this edition. It's an addition to the collector's edition, and going forward we may bring more such performance features in future editions.' Demand for customisation highest in G-Class, Maybach models While the brand's ultra-luxury customers continue to demand unique customer-specific touches, some models lead the way. 'The G63 AMG sees the highest level of customisation: over 75% of them are personalised. The S-Class Maybach is around 50%, followed by the GLS Maybach,' said Iyer. However, this level of customisation is largely limited to fully imported (CBU) models like the G-Class and Maybach range. 'For the rest of the lineup, these cars are built to stock. At the top end, customers are willing to pay and wait six to nine months. But as you go lower down the pyramid, customers want quick delivery, and so there is less scope for customisation,' Iyer explained. Mercedes-Benz G 580 Review: Is Electric G-Wagen still iconic? | TOI Auto While the G63 Collector's Edition is a visual and aesthetic upgrade, both Iyer and Saale made it clear that the future could include more technical upgrades. 'MBRDI today is the largest R&D centre for Mercedes outside of Germany,' said Saale. 'There's a bit of India in every Mercedes. It's just up to our imagination what we can do.' With just 30 units planned for India, the Grand Edition isn't for everyone. 'It's not exactly invite-only,' Iyer clarified, 'but customers must own another top-end Mercedes. It's on a first-come, first-served basis, and delivery begins later this year. Once a customer books, we initiate consultations for engraving, font selections, and other customisation details.' G-Class EV reception strong, EV sales soaring Speaking on electrification, Iyer said the company's EV push is seeing strong traction in India. 'The luxury EV segment grew 66% (Jan–May, YoY), and we grew 73%. EV penetration in the luxury segment has gone up from 7% to 11%,' he revealed. While the EQS and EQS SUV are current volume drivers, Iyer also highlighted the success of the G-Class EV. 'India is one of the best-performing markets for it globally,' he said, adding that strong incentives and better price parity between ICE and EVs are helping push sales.

This Suzuki Jimny 6x4 Is... Exactly What the Name Suggests

A decade ago, Mercedes-AMG shocked the world by actually selling a six-wheeled G-Wagen directly to customers. The ridiculous G63 AMG 6x6 may have come and gone, but your chance to own something in the vague shape of a G-Wagen with six wheels and a truck bed is not over yet. You just may have to settle for something a little smaller. This Suzuki Jimny 6x4, currently for sale via U.K.-based Historics Auctioneers, is exactly what the name suggests: a Suzuki Jimny modified in the image of the most ridiculous Mercedes to leave an official factory in decades. The project started life as a regular Jimny, then England's Mocho Fabrication added an axle, two wheels, and bed-like bodywork to surround the extended portion of the mini-SUV. (Sadly, the last axle isn't driven, hence the name 6x4 instead of 6x6.) An Audi-sourced shade of gray paint and custom quilted leather finished the project, bringing the Jimny 6x4 up to a higher standard than your usual custom six-wheeled sub-compact off-roader, if there were such a thing. The Jimny also comes equipped with aftermarket Apple CarPlay, making it an ideal daily driver for someone very worried about how their podcasts are displayed on their infotainment screen but not so concerned about how many wheels their Jimny has. Unfortunately, Suzuki's choice not to sell the Jimny (or any other car since 2012) new in America means that this project cannot easily be replicated on another Jimny here and driven around the U.S. as a road-going car. That said, interested European-market bidders will be excited to hear that the Jimny 6x4 is a relative bargain, at an estimated auction price of $51,000–$64,000.
