Fahadh Faasil and wife Nazriya were seen taking delivery of their new Ruby Red Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG in Kochi.
Fahadh Faasil, one of Malayalam cinema's most respected actors, is known not just for his acting but also for his love of cars. He recently added another luxury vehicle to his impressive collection, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. A video of Fahadh and his wife, Nazriya Nazim, taking delivery of the new SUV has now gone viral on social media.
Although the couple reportedly purchased the vehicle last year, the video was released recently by Mercedes-Benz Coastal Star, the dealership in Kochi. In the clip, the couple is seen arriving in style in another one of Fahadh's high-end cars, a Lamborghini Urus, which he was among the first to reportedly own in the Malayalam film industry.
The dealership had arranged a special setup to celebrate the occasion, with decorations and a ceremonial delivery. Further in the clip, Fahadh is seen interacting with the staff, expressing his excitement and sharing how owning a G-Wagen had always been a dream for him.
After completing the paperwork, the couple unveiled the vehicle, which was covered in a satin cloth. The G63 AMG they purchased stands out with its striking Ruby Red (or Rubellite Red) paint, a rare colour choice for this model. While most G-Wagens are seen in black or dark green, this unique red shade is more commonly seen on Maybach models.
After the unveiling, the couple drove the SUV home, marking another proud addition to Fahadh's luxury garage.
Features of the G63 AMG
The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a powerful and premium SUV. It is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 585 PS of power and 850 Nm of torque. The car comes with an automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels, making it suitable for both city drives and off-road adventures.
The model Fahadh bought is from the previous-generation G63 AMG lineup. With Mercedes now offering electric versions of the G-Wagen, this could be one of the last few opportunities for car lovers to own the classic petrol-powered version.
Fahadh's Love for Cars
Fahadh Faasil has long shown a genuine passion for automobiles. According to Cartoq, his garage includes a Lamborghini Urus, a Porsche 911 Carrera S (992 generation), a Mini Countryman, a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and a Land Rover Defender 90.
The actor is not only a big name in Malayalam cinema but also enjoys a strong following in the Tamil and Telugu industries. His car choices reflect both luxury and personality and the G63 AMG adds yet another layer to his impressive collection.
Fahadh likely spent over Rs 4.5 crore (ex-showroom) for the G63 AMG, further proving his status as both a cinema icon and a true auto enthusiast.

Nadikar features the story of David Padikkal (played by Tovino Thomas), a popular superstar in Malayalam cinema who leads a life of arrogance and instability. Owing to his narcissistic behavior, he never arrives on sets, often partying with girls. When he begins a new film under the veteran director Koshy, Padikkal and the filmmaker get into a clash, owing to the star's inability to perform well. WCC lauds Urvashi, Sandra & Pushpavathy

Kochi: Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) lauded singer Pushpavathy, actor Urvashi and producer Sandra Thomas for raising their voices to challenge the authorities on various issues. In a social media post, WCC pointed out on Friday that filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan once again exposed his upper-caste, gender-biased views through comments about the cinematic experiences of new women and Dalit directors in Malayalam cinema. "We fully support Pushpavathy, who courageously raised her voice against the dominant male power that marginalizes women and those living on the fringes," it said. WCC also commended Urvashi and Thomas for standing tall with their opinions. Urvashi is challenging central govt's film award decision, while Thomas is fighting against the organisation's anti-women stance. WCC condemns the positions held against women coming to the forefront of film organizations, including Shwetha Menon, the statement said. tnn Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI). RIFFK strikes a chord with young cinephiles

Film festivals are witnessing a steady rise in interest among youngsters, with the Regional International Film Festival of Kerala (RIFFK) emerging as a strong example. At this year's edition, the notable presence of student cinephiles reflected a growing enthusiasm for art films and festival culture. Naveena Vijayan, regional coordinator of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, credits the inclusion of cinema in academic syllabi as a key factor behind this shift. She also points to Touring Talkies, an outreach initiative by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy (KSCA), as instrumental in sparking curiosity among young audiences. While the number of student delegates is still comparatively small, Ms. Vijayan says the turnout is promising. Among them was a group of PhD scholars from Calicut University, including Keerti, who has been attending film festivals since 2019. 'It's a must-experience,' she says, adding that the atmosphere, the crowd, and the chance to connect with like-minded film lovers keep her coming back year after year. For Harishankar M.P., the unique access to films that are otherwise unavailable is one of the festival's biggest draws. 'It was curiosity that brought me to my first IFFK as a student,' he recalls. 'Once I realised how valuable it was, I kept returning.' Godwin Francis finds RIFFK 'more coordinated' than its Thiruvananthapuram counterpart, praising its technical execution. He notes that attendees generally fall into two categories: the committed film enthusiasts and those drawn in for social media content. Filmmaker Sharan Venugopal observes that young people in Kerala are increasingly drawn to cinema, thanks in part to the openness and diversity of the Malayalam film industry. The presence of cinema in the curriculum plays a role, he adds, but so does the festival's social appeal. 'Spots like these have become Instagrammable, and that makes youngsters flock to the venue,' he says.
