The Welshman, 40, cuts a much slimmer figure these days after shedding the pounds over the past eight months. Price, a former rugby league hooker, says his dramatic body transformation is here to stay and the result of fitness and eating healthier food. 'I don't think it affects me physically when I'm throwing but mentally it definitely helps. I feel comfortable. 'I'm in some smaller clothes. I feel better in myself. Mentally it's a lot better. 'I tried to squeeze into a large size a little bit too soon but after a month or two, I was able to fit into it. It was alright then. So, give it another month, if I keep doing that, it will be back on!' I need a good night's sleep ahead of Saturday. 'I wear a different shirt whenever I go, in the Premier League and World Series of Darts events. I choose the colours. I picked this one. 'Looking back to 2024, since I have had my Tour Card that was probably the worst season I've had. I was absolute rubbish. 'So, The final of the Australian Darts Masters was a good game. I watched it back on the TV a couple of times in the practice room. 'I thought to myself, I have dropped a couple of pounds since then, haven't I?'
