"Other devices will stay active, but the prioritised device will get the best performance." This upgrade is particularly useful, as Sky notes that people are now using more connected devices than ever at home, with the UK average standing at 21 smart devices per household. Many of these devices require large amounts of data to function optimally, and this system should help reduce conflicts and potentially even prevent a few arguments. So, who's eligible for this boost, and how can you activate it? It has been announced that customers with Sky's WiFi Max service can utilise Device Priority from today at no additional charge. If you're a WiFi Max user, you'll locate the settings in the MySky App. Once activated, you will have the ability to prioritise a device in your home for up to 8 hours. This new feature of Sky Broadband's WiFi Max joins other aspects of this service such as Sky's WiFi guarantee, advanced security, parental controls, convenient engineer visits, and Sky Mobile integration.
