Victoria Beckham's X-rated joke before calling son Brooklyn 'most handsome man'
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham went viral after making a hilarious X-rated joke at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in 2013 Many years before the ongoing Beckham family feud, Victoria Beckham slipped up while on stage at the 2013 Glamour Women of the Year Awards when she made an X-rated joke in front of her then-teenage son, Brooklyn. As she stood at the podium to collect an award, she was left mortified after adjusting the microphone and telling the audience: "Oh, I have to raise it. That doesn't happen often." The former Spice Girl slapped her hands over her mouth upon realising her blunder and added: "Oh my god, I didn't even mean that!" as the crowd laughed. She then apologised to Brooklyn: "I'm so sorry Brooklyn, I'm so sorry. They told me to be funny but that was completely off the cuff!" In a sweet tribute to him, she later said: "Thank you to Brooklyn, my date tonight and the most handsome man in the room, even though he's avoiding his homework." Over a decade on from the iconic speech, it has been revealed it was from a time Victoria 'heavily relied' on Brooklyn while husband David was away for work before their family feud unfolded in recent months. The family have always been close, with the Beckhams consistently taking to social media to pay tribute to one another. Brooklyn and Posh Spice were close before, things changed since Brooklyn, a former aspiring photographer, met Nicola Peltz in 2019 at Leonardo DiCaprio's Halloween party. They married three years later and, last month, Brooklyn and Nicola missed David's 50th birthday celebrations, which cast the spotlight on the family conflict. In recent days, Brooklyn caused a stir when he seemingly shared whose side he's on by posting 'I'll always choose you' in a post gushing about his wife. However, it's been said Brooklyn was Victoria's 'rock' throughout his childhood and she 'really relied' on him before he went on to marry his socialite wife. In Daily Mail's Beckham Breakdown: Inside the Family Feud, Katie Hind said: "They were absolutely inseparable and I remember she took him to the Glamour Awards in 2013 as her date. "She got up on stage and paid tribute to him and said he was the most handsome man in the room. She really relied on Brooklyn and he was the man of the house and he very much lived up to that while David was away and I think at the time they were having difficulties in their marriage." She added: "They had moved back to London, David was away and Brooklyn was a real rock for her."

(Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP, File) By MARIA SHERMAN Demi Lovato is officially married. The musician-actor, 32, tied the knot with Canadian singer-songwriter Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes, 34, on Sunday in California, as first exclusively reported by Vogue. The couple met while working on Lovato's last album, 2022's 'Holy Fvck," and dated for nearly two years before Lutes proposed in December 2023. Lutes co-wrote a few of the songs that made 'Holy Fvck,' including 'Happy Ending,' 'City of Angels," and the pop-punk single, 'Substance.' Lovato wore a white Vivienne Westwood dress and Lutes wore a Saint Laurent suit. Representatives for Lovato did not immediately respond to The Associated Press' request for comment. Lovato, a former child star, began her entertainment career on 'Barney & Friends' before becoming a staple of Disney Channel in the 2000s for her role in the 'Camp Rock' films and as the star of 'Sonny with a Chance.' Beyond her acting, Lovato has long been celebrated for her gifted soprano and has released eight albums across her career. Lutes, an independent artist whose hybridist music marries elements of emo, pop-punk and trap, was previously signed to Capitol Records. Prior to her relationship with Lutes, Lovato was engaged to the actor Max Ehrich in 2020. They called off their engagement after two months. © Copyright 2025 The Associated Press. Bono breaks silence on rumours of romance between his wife and The Edge
Bono and Ali Hewson were high school sweethearts and tied the knot in 1982. The duo share children Jordan, Eve, Elijah and John U2 frontman Bono has opened up about the romance rumours between his wife, Ali Hewson, and bandmate The Edge. Bono and Ali have been married since 1982 and share four children - Jordan, 36, Eve, 33, Elijah, 25, and John, 22. The singer, 65, recently discussed how close Ali is to his pal The Edge, real name David Howell Evans. He spoke to The Project on Sunday to talk about his upcoming film Bono: Stories of Surrender, which is a documentary about his life behind the mic as U2's frontman. During the conversation, he said the rumours of a romance between the two was "still a sore subject" for him as he revealed their close relationship. In the movie, he even joked that the two were "an item". Bono said in the interview: "They were the two cleverest in their year." Ali and The Edge were in the year below him at the same secondary school. 'She [Ali] did seem to be taking an interest in his guitar playing and, as hard as I might practise, I just knew I couldn't touch this guy," he added of U2's lead guitarist. 'So I had to become, you know, the class clown.' Bono revealed the duo are still extremely close and even talk about him 'behind his back'. 'They're still really close - and they still talk about me behind my back. They say it's out of concern." The singer went on to discuss how he doesn't need to "worry about" certain people in his life as they've always been "there for him". 'Edge is one, Ali is another,' he said of the duo. "I'm really one quarter of an artist without Edge, Adam and Larry. And I'm half of a person without Ali." Ali and Bono were high school sweethearts, with Hewson telling the Telegraph in 2008: 'He was my first real boyfriend. It was 1976 that we got together – the same year that the band formed. I saw their first gig in our school gym.' In 2016, Bono echoed the same story, explaining at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards: 'We were teenagers. We went to the same school, high school. 'It just so happens it was this afternoon [in 1976] I walked her to her bus – isn't that mad?' Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Ali previously discussed her three children and said: "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I am just so happy for them, each one of them, you just hope they find their way.'

James Corden met with awkward silence following lewd Judi Dench joke at awards ceremony
James Corden shocked the crowd at the 2025 Breakthrough Prize ceremony when he made a risqué joke about Dame Judi Dench. The Gavin & Stacey star, 46, joked that the 90-year-old acting titan had participated in a 'one-night stand' with former chief medical advisor Dr Anthony Fauci. 'Tonight is the one night that Hollywood and science come together,' he told the crowd at the Los Angeles Gala, which recognises scientific achievement. 'Other than of course that one magical evening where Dr [Anthony] Fauci had a one-night stand with Dame Judi Dench,' Cordon added. According to the Daily Mail, the joke was met with an awkward silence, with cameras at the event then panning to Olivia Wilde, one of many celebrities in attendance, who appeared shocked by the remark. Corden and Dench have, however, appeared on screen together several times, including on his now-finished late night talk show, and, memorably, in the disastrously received 2019 musical Cats. The Independent has contacted representatives of Corden and Dench for comment. Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Drew Barrymore, Lizzo, and Mark Zuckerberg were among the other celebrities in attendance on the night. A filmed broadcast of the event is set to stream on YouTube later this week. It's not the first time that Corden has caused a stir at an awards ceremony. In 2010, the actor and chat show host was presenting the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, when he got into an onstage quarrel with Sir Patrick Stewart. While presenting an award, Stewart criticised Corden's demeanour, stating into the microphone: 'When the presenters are up here and when the recipients are receiving their awards, don't stand at the back of the stage with your hands in your pockets looking around as though you wished you were anywhere but here.' 'Oh, you couldn't be more wrong, Sir,' replied Corden. 'You couldn't be more wrong. If it looked like that, I'm so sorry. But when you come up to present an award, just f***ing get on with it.' The encounter then devolved into a passive-aggressive exchange of insults in full view of the audience.
