"Wicked: For Good" Trailer Is Finally Here
Yara Sameh It is time to venture back to the Emerald City. Universal Pictures has finally unveiled the official trailer for 'Wicked: For Good,' the second part of 2024's hit Broadway movie adaptation. 'Wicked: For Good' brings back Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, as well as Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp and Bowen Yang as Pfannee. Jon M. Chu directed both films with screenplays by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. Per the official logline, the second movie — 'set in the Land of Oz, before and after Dorothy Gale's arrival from Kansas' — will 'cover the events of the musical's second act, following Elphaba and Glinda's friendship being put to the test as they embrace their new respective identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North, and how the consequences of their actions will change all of Oz forever.' Last year's 'Wicked' was a massive hit and grossed $756 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation ever and Universal's third biggest movie of all time. The movie received 10 Academy Award nominations, including best picture, lead actress for Erivo, supporting actress for Grande, costume design, editing, makeup and hairstyling, production design, original score, sound and visual effects. It also won for costume design, making Paul Tazewell the first Black man to win the category, plus production design. Hallmark Channel is springing into love with its May for Moms event, featuring the cable premieres of five new movies loaded with familiar faces. Free Wicked Sing-Along: themed drinks, meet-and-greet
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — All of Oz, get ready for Shreveport's free WICKED sing-along at Caddo Common Park this Friday night. Warm up your vocal cords for a magical evening out with family and friends featuring WICKED-themed cocktails and mocktails by Fatty Arbuckles, and snow cones from Snow Stoppers and Filipino Food from Roadrunner Foods. The Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) details that at 7:30 p.m., shimmering stunners will have the chance to meet and take photos with the Good Witch and Green Witch from 'Never Ending Story' (local children's party entertainers). Poetic X: upcoming Speak Poetry Festival, documentary Seating at Caddo Common Park, 869 Texas Avenue, begins at 7 p.m. The movie is scheduled for 8 p.m. According to SRAC, WICKED is scheduled for 8 p.m. However, in the event of rain, the movie will be shown in the Engine Room of Shreveport Regional Arts Council, 801 Crockett Street.
