What are the Top 10 most streamed shows of 2025, so far? See list
The numbers for the most-streamed shows of the year, at least so far, are in. Nielsen, a global market research firm, has recently revealed which shows have captured the hearts, minds and attention of American audiences from January through June 2025, including where they rank. With over 25 billion minutes viewed so far this year, beloved Disney+ series "Bluey" takes the No. 1 slot. "Bluey" was also the most-streamed show of 2024. "Through the first half of 2025, streaming is being dominated by the animated import from Australia, Disney+'s 'Bluey,'" Nielsen said in a news release. "(Bluey's) 154 episodes continue to be a sensation for kids, parents and Disney alike." According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Australian children's show has appeared on Nielsen's streaming ratings, either on the overall list or on the Top 10 acquired series for 143 straight weeks, dating back to October 2022, about three years after its debut in the U.S. Children-focused programming like "Bluey" frequently tops rankings like this one because families, specifically children, watch episodes over and over again, according to the Hollywood Reporter. But the programming featured in Nielsen's newest report is not all children's shows, with medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," Netflix's "Squid Game," among others, cracking the Top 10. What other shows made the Top 10? See the list. 'Bluey' leads the pack, takes No. 1 slot "Bluey" leads the pack with 25.059 billion minutes viewed and is closely followed by medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" with 22.551 billion minutes viewed, then military police procedural show "NCIS," "Family Guy" and "Bob's Burgers" round out the Top 5. Four of the Top 10 most-streamed titles, including "Family Guy," "Bob's Burgers," "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Bluey" fell into the animation category. Another four fell into the procedural TV series category, which includes "Grey's Anatomy," "NCIS, "The Rookie" and "Law & Order: SVU". The sitcom "Big Bang Theory" and "Squid Game," a South Korean dystopian survival thriller, were the two standalones featured in the Top 10. According to Nielsen, "Squid Game," a series with a smaller library of episodes, punched above its weight, accruing over 15 billion viewing minutes across just 22 total episodes. The Netflix show managed to secure the No. 9 overall spot. When do new 'Bluey' episodes come out? Read these 6 life-changing books in 2025 for better habits and creative success
Written by Krishika Dinesh Rathod In the ever-evolving chaos of deadlines, burnout, social media fatigue, and the constant chase for purpose, motivation can often feel like a rare luxury. But sometimes, the right book can act like a matchstick—reigniting your spark, guiding you gently but firmly out of your slump. it's clear that people are not only craving productivity, but also connection, creativity, and meaning. Whether you're trying to kickstart a new habit, redefine success, or simply believe in yourself again, here are six life-altering books that offer more than just words—they offer perspective. From atomic changes in your habits to magical breakthroughs in creativity and community, these reads are the emotional and intellectual fuel your year needs. James Clear's Atomic Habits has practically become a modern bible for those seeking sustainable change. Rather than pushing massive overhauls, the book promotes the philosophy of 1% improvements—small actions done consistently that lead to remarkable transformations over time. Whether you're struggling with procrastination, trying to stay consistent at the gym, or simply want to wake up earlier, this book teaches you how to design systems that work for you. What sets this apart is its practicality. Backed by behavioral psychology and personal anecdotes, Clear shows you how to stack good habits, remove friction from your life, and rewire your identity. It's not about motivation—it's about method. Price: ₹599 Publisher: Random House Business Books Pages: 320 Before James Clear, there was Charles Duhigg—whose The Power of Habit explained the neuroscience behind how habits form and how we can take control of them. Drawing from riveting real-life case studies—like how Febreze almost failed or how Starbucks trains its baristas—Duhigg explains the cue-routine-reward loop that governs most of our behaviors. This book isn't just for personal improvement but also dives into how habits shape companies, communities, and movements. For anyone curious about the deep science of behavior, this one is a brilliant and eye-opening journey into the mechanics of change. Price: ₹499 Publisher: Random House UK Pages: 371 If you've ever said 'no' out of fear or imposter syndrome, Year of Yes will feel like a permission slip to finally say 'yes' to life. Shonda Rhimes—the powerhouse behind Grey's Anatomy and Scandal—was a shy introvert who preferred staying behind the scenes. Until one day, her sister casually remarked, 'You never say yes to anything.' That one sentence sparked a transformational year of saying 'yes' to things that scared her. What follows is a humorous, emotional, and empowering narrative that challenges you to expand your world by stepping outside your comfort zone. Rhimes' voice is authentic, relatable, and inspiring—a must-read for anyone afraid to take up space. Price: ₹699 Publisher: Simon & Schuster Pages: 352 Creativity is not just for artists—it's a life force. In Big Magic, Elizabeth Gilbert (of Eat, Pray, Love fame) invites readers to engage with creativity in its most liberating form. With equal parts whimsy and wisdom, she discusses fear, perfectionism, originality, and what it means to live a creative life. Gilbert doesn't romanticize the artist's struggle. Instead, she offers a hopeful, joyous approach to creating without pressure. Whether you're a writer, entrepreneur, or simply someone who wants to try something new, this book gives you permission to start without waiting to be perfect. Price: ₹499 Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing Pages: 288 In 2025, when digital connections are plentiful but real friendships are rare, Jennie Allen's Find Your People feels timely and urgent. This book dives deep into the epidemic of loneliness and the human need for belonging. Rather than focusing on superficial social tips, Allen explores how vulnerability, shared rhythms, and intentionality help build deep, soulful relationships. It's especially relevant for young adults navigating post-pandemic isolation or those who've relocated for work or studies. Packed with research, spiritual insight, and practical exercises, it's a heartfelt guide to rebuilding your social fabric. Price: ₹699 Publisher: WaterBrook Pages: 256 What makes a life truly fulfilling? That's the central question The Good Life attempts to answer through the lens of the world's longest scientific study on happiness—the Harvard Study of Adult Development. Waldinger and Schulz, the directors of this landmark study, reveal that strong relationships—not wealth or fame—are the key to long-term well-being. Drawing on over 80 years of interviews, data, and stories, this book is both deeply scientific and emotionally moving. It's perfect for those in search of purpose, re-evaluating their priorities, or wondering what really matters in the long run. Price: ₹799 Publisher: Simon & Schuster Pages: 352 Each of these six books has the potential to shift your mindset in 2025—whether it's building better habits, chasing your creativity, deepening relationships, or learning to say 'yes' to yourself. What unites them all is a core belief: growth doesn't have to be loud or flashy. It can be quiet, consistent, and deeply personal. So, if you're looking to reset, reflect, or rise in the year ahead let one (or all) of these books be your starting point. (The writer is an intern with

Meet the nurses who survived starched skirts and Sister Gregory
C. A. Sadlowski's St. Trudy's School of Nursing pulls back the curtain on the real-life trials, triumphs and truly bizarre realities of student nurses in the 1960s, a time when the nursing profession was cloaked in starched uniforms, strict conduct codes and the looming authority of nun-run institutions. Set in the fictional halls of St. Gertrude's Hospital School of Nursing, affectionately but forbiddenly nicknamed 'St. Trudy's,' Sadlowski's memoir-style novel tracks the bumpy, absurd and ultimately uplifting journey of Hope Sarnecki, a wide-eyed freshman from Cleveland with nothing but a scholarship and a shaky grasp on anatomy. With a voice that's part dry wit, part wounded heart and all real, Hope leads readers through bed baths, rectal thermometer mishaps, explosive dehiscence wounds, pediatric heartbreaks and, yes, a 3.2-beer-fueled night at 'The Libido Lounge.' The cast of characters, from the quietly rebellious Aggie Vespey to the smirking, steel-haired Miss Burns, are as vivid as the chemical burns from cleaning agents in the charity ward. 'It's not 'Grey's Anatomy.' It's grayer, grittier and funnier,' says the author. 'This was a time when nursing students were expected to be nuns in disguise: celibate, cheerful and tough as nails. I had to tell this story with all the humor and heartbreak intact.' Sadlowski doesn't shy away from tough subjects. The book captures the silent pain of racial inequality, the trauma of pediatric oncology and the emotional minefields of growing up female in a world that often expects obedience over opinion. But what stands out most is the camaraderie, the late-night whispering, the practical jokes and the group smoke breaks between breakdowns. 'St. Trudy's School of Nursing' is as much about friendship as it is about medicine. Readers who loved 'Call the Midwife' or 'The Bell Jar' will find themselves laughing and crying in equal measure. 'St. Trudy's School of Nursing' is published by Callaghan Publications and is now available in paperback and e-book format. 'Hidden gem' medical drama that had fans 'hooked' now streaming on Prime Video
All five seasons of a hit US medical drama are now available to stream on the platform A "hidden gem" medical drama that had fans "hooked" is now streaming on Prime Video. Based on Eric Manheimer's 2012 memoir, New Amsterdam follows the journey of Dr Max Goodwin (played by Ryan Eggold) as he takes on the role of medical director at one of America's oldest public hospitals. In his new position, Max is determined to overhaul the neglected institution, cutting through red tape to deliver outstanding care to patients. The series, which debuted in 2018, also features Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, Tyler Labine and Sandra Mae Frank. After a successful four-year run on NBC, it was revealed in 2022 that the show would conclude with its fifth season, comprising 13 episodes, reports Surrey Live. New Amsterdam can already be streamed in its entirety on Netflix, Sky and NOW, but now all five seasons have been added to Prime Video as well. If you're new or haven't held a Prime membership for a full year, you can get a 30-day free trial of the complete Prime service (not just Prime Video) directly from Amazon. Pricing in the UK stands at £8.99 per month or £95 per year. To enjoy the premium ad-free service, you'll need to shell out an additional £2.99 per month. Throughout its original run, New Amsterdam garnered mixed reviews from critics, who felt the show didn't push any boundaries. However, its audience was much more enthusiastic, with many preferring the drama over its medical rival Grey's Anatomy. "I was impressed by the social commentary in the writing! Well acted. All the usual obvious stuff but a few hidden gems for the few who still want to enjoy a show about life," one viewer penned on IMDb. Another chimed in: "This show looks at the human side of medicine and that is refreshing. In my opinion, it's better than Grey's Anatomy." A third shared: "Finally a medical drama without the usual drama. It's not about the endless romance between the doctors and nurses, it is really focused about the medical aspect of the hospital. The characters are very refreshing and particularly Ryan Eggold is so endearing in his first remarkable role." Echoing the sentiment, a fourth fan wrote: "One of the best medical dramas I've seen. It had me hooked from the first episode."
