Gucci celebrating the house's monogram with Emily Ratajkowski: A GG obsession
Framed by the shifting light of a day in Cannes, Gucci introduces the new campaign dedicated to the GG Monogram, capturing Emily Ratajkowski in a series of curated moments, from pauses on city corners to the late-day glow along the promenade. Credits: Gucci Photographed by Daniel Arnold, the campaign unfolds a balance of presence and ease, movement and stillness. As the protagonists move effortlessly between the city's crowds and the carefree calm of the beach, their journey is threaded by one constant, the GG Monogram. Worn across a spectrum of pieces, from new handbags to archival-inspired travel silhouettes from the Gucci Savoy line tracing back to the House's beginnings in the world of luggage, the motif becomes a discreet companion, a signature presence woven into the everyday. Credits: Gucci Credits: Gucci Central to this narrative is the recently debuted Gucci Giglio handbag. Unveiled during the Cruise 2026 fashion show in Florence, Gucci Giglio pays homage to the House's roots, celebrating the Giglio, the lily emblem synonymous with the city since medieval times. Debuting at the historic Gucci Archive, the piece reflects over a century of artisanal mastery, innovation, and expressive design, drawing on archival codes and heritage techniques while embracing modern craftsmanship. Credits: Gucci The campaign also introduces a new chapter of the Ophidia collection. Drawing from handbag and accessory silhouettes of the late 1970s, the new Ophidia pieces feature soft GG Monogram coated canvas, green cotton lining, the Double G emblem in polished light gold metal, and the signature Web stripe that boldly defines each silhouette. A highlight of the campaign is the Mini GG handbag, a new design available for pre-order online and in store, which reimagines the House's signature duffle style in a compact form. Rooted in the legacy of Guccio Gucci's original valigeria creations, the GG Monogram emerges once again as more than a design, it is a living code. A visual signature that adapts, evolves, and endures across time and collections. More than a campaign, this is a study of identity: a GG obsession.

Paul Mescal oozes sleek sophistication at Gucci event in Florence
Paul Mescal was spotted at the Gucci Cruise 2026 runway show, which took place last night in Florence, Italy. The collection, which was designed by the in-house design team while they await the arrival of the new Creative Director Demna following the exit of Sabato De Sarno in February, was unveiled at the Gucci Archive in the 15th century Palazzo Settimanni. Known for its slinky and sultry designs, Gucci had recently been presenting a more sleek and understated style under De Sarno, having celebrated a few years of exceptional popularity under Alessandro Michele, who brought his maximalist aesthetic to the legacy brand. This collection featured more sexy designs that were inspired by the brand's archive, with oversized faux fur coats, slip dresses, pussy bow blouses and sleek pencil skirts. The fashion house also celebrated the launch of a new exhibition on the night, at the House's museum, Palazzo Gucci. It was a fitting celebration for the brand, which was founded in the romantic city in 1921. Mescal is a longtime fan and supporter of the Italian luxury fashion house, which has featured him in numerous campaigns. He even gave the brand's spin on his headline-stealing GAA shorts the seal of approval when he wore them for a photoshoot. At last night's event he opted for an understated and monochrome look, stepping out in a grey sweater vest with an asymmetric neckline, worn over a white t-shirt, black trousers, a black bomber jacket and black shoes. He finished the look with classic black sunglasses. Also spotted at the event were stars such as Julia Garner, who wore a green textured mini dress paired with avant garde pointed court shoes and sheer black tights. Mark Ronson looked dapper in a dark brown textured suit, which he wore over a pale blue shirt and paired with the brand's iconic loafers. Jeff Goldblum stepped out with his wife, Emilie Livingston, both looking exceptionally chic. Goldblum wore a dark green suit with a wide retro-inspired lapel, worn over a cream shirt, while Livingston wore a 90s-inspired vest top and matching long skirt in a navy floral motif.

Gucci celebrates its roots with Cruise 2026 show in historic archive
Gucci, the Florence-born fashion house owned by Kering, will return to its hometown to present the Cruise 2026 collection with a show at the brand's archive inside Palazzo Settimanni, located on Via delle Caldaie. "Returning to Florence — particularly to Palazzo Settimanni — is both a tribute and a statement of intent," said Stefano Cantino, CEO of Gucci. "The archive is not only the guardian of our past, but a dynamic space where Gucci's identity codes intertwine and are renewed through constantly evolving interpretations. Presenting the Cruise 2026 collection here means renewing our connection with our cultural and artisanal roots, projecting them with coherence and ambition toward the future." Nestled in the heart of Florence's Oltrarno district, Palazzo Settimanni has belonged to Gucci since 1953. Over the decades, it has housed ateliers, workshops, and showrooms. Since 2021, the historic building has also served as home to the Gucci Archive—meticulously restored to showcase the richness of its layered architecture and preserve the maison's most iconic creations. Florence's mayor, Sara Funaro, expressed pride in hosting the event: "We are proud to host Gucci's Cruise collection show in Florence — an extraordinary event in the city where the brand was born, and in the place that best tells its story, the archive in Palazzo Settimanni, in the charming and distinctive Oltrarno district." "A location full of history and meaning, situated in the part of the city where the artisanal vocation is most deeply felt and present — a strong identity trait we are committed to enhancing. The bond between Gucci and Florence is deep and has never been broken despite the maison's international success." "This will be a homecoming for a brand that, in reality, never truly left this home — a brand that has always kept its roots alive and constantly strengthened its relationship with our region, not only through important production hubs but also through iconic locations that have enriched our city's streets." "This event also highlights Florence's central role in the fashion system, thanks to excellences like the Gucci maison. We are talking about a crucial sector for our local economy, which is going through a complex moment, but has always been rich in great expertise and capable of facing the present and future challenges." In conjunction with the Cruise 2026 show, Gucci will reaffirm its commitment to Florence by contributing to the Estate Fiorentina 2026 cultural initiative and Parco delle Cascine's redevelopment.

Gucci to present Cruise 2026 collection at the Gucci Archive in Florence
Gucci announced on Thursday that its Cruise 2026 collection will be unveiled at the House's historic Archive in Palazzo Settimanni on via delle Caldaie. Located in the city's Oltrarno district, the site houses the Gucci Archive and will serve as the backdrop for the upcoming show. Acquired by Gucci in 1953, Palazzo Settimanni has long played a central role in the house's story including as a workshop, showroom, factory, and, since 2021, as the Archive, where the brand's most iconic creations are preserved and reimagined. 'Returning to Florence - and specifically to Palazzo Settimanni - is both a tribute and a declaration of intent,' said Stefano Cantino, CEO of Gucci. 'The Archive is not merely a repository of our past; it is a living space where Gucci's identity codes are preserved and reinterpreted through an ongoing dialogue. Presenting the Cruise 2026 collection here reaffirms our bond with the cultural and artisanal heritage that defines us, while projecting it into the future with coherence and ambition.' The location choice represents a homecoming for the house, which was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921. Today, the brand's presence in the region remains strong through Palazzo Gucci, Gucci ArtLab, Gucci Osteria, and its production hubs in Casellina. As part of the initiative, Gucci will also support the city's cultural and civic life by contributing to the 2026 edition of Estate Fiorentina, Florence's annual summer festival, and participating in the redevelopment of Parco delle Cascine, the city's largest historic park. Florence Mayor Sara Funaro praised the announcement: 'The relationship between Gucci and Florence is profound. Despite the House's international success, this bond has never been broken. This event marks a homecoming for a brand that, in truth, never truly left, having always preserved and nurtured its roots through both its production hubs and the iconic sites that enrich our city. It also confirms Florence's central role in the fashion industry, thanks to global leaders like Gucci.'
