Sana'a mayor inspects damage to homes after US strike on Thaqban area

Sana'a - Saba: Capital mayor Dr. Hamoud Ubad on Monday inspected the extensive damage inflicted on citizens' homes following the "US aggression's crime" of targeting Thaqban neighborhood in Bani al-Harith district. The strike resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, predominantly women and children. Accompanied by head of the Capital's Emergency Operations Room and district director mayor Ubad listened to harrowing accounts from victims' relatives and residents about the horrific massacre, the damage to their properties, and the terror they experienced when three homes were bombed by the US aggression. The Mayor stated that this incident is part of a pattern of crimes committed by the US aggression against civilians in residential neighborhoods and popular markets," classifying it as a war crime, a crime against humanity, and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. He emphasized that these "crimes of the US aggression will not be subject to any statute of limitations, and that the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain. Instead, he asserted, it will strengthen the resolve, steadfastness, and perseverance of the Yemeni people in confronting their enemies and continuing their support for Gaza and the Palestinian people, regardless of the challenges and sacrifices. Ubad concluded by stating that the escalation and deliberate targeting of civilians, residential areas, and civilian infrastructure in Sana'a and other governorates by the US aggression is evidence of its "criminality, bankruptcy, confusion, and failure."
