Was beaten a nose by Ghielmi on debut at Kembla back in February. STRAANDSTORM (9) worked home okay for a length-and-a-half fourth to Cloud Of Dust when resuming at Goulburn. Will take improvement from the run. MR ANTARES (1) is a first starter by Churchill. Sat second and kept under a hold to the line when runner-up to Miss Trentino in his Canterbury trial on June 23. BET: ALL SAINTS to win. MELANITE (3) was fifth in the Canonbury and eighth in the Pierro in his two runs. Has been gelded and very impressive coming from back in the field to win his two recent trials at Hawkesbury and Canterbury. FAIRWAY TO HEAVEN (13) is a debutant by Zoustar. Sat back and wide when third and fourth in her two Randwick trials. Led and kicked away to score by over four lengths in her June 23 Canterbury trial. PYROLYSIS (12) will be improved by her debut third to Just Awesome. BET: MELANITE each-way. CUBAN RAIN (4) raced away to score a smart win on a Heavy 8 at Kembla two starts back. Had a similar run last start and hit the front before finishing fourth on a Good 4. Can atone back on wet ground. BELLA KHADIJAH (1) had strong Queensland form before heading to Sydney and finishing third to Zarrose at Randwick on Aug 10. Only one run last campaign when a length fifth to Idle Flyer on the Kensington. JOHNNY SMASH (3) won on a heavy track at Wyong two starts back. BET: CUBAN RAIN to win. WA WA WA (6) raced well in his first campaign placings in each of his three runs in metropolitan company including a half-length second to Deal n' Dash at Rosehill. Will take improvement from his first-up fourth to Glorious Moments at Canterbury. CINSAULT (7) started favourite when third to Glorious Moments in that same race. Handy second to Frosty Girl at Warwick Farm before that. Placed in all seven starts including two on heavy ground. CROSS TASMAN (1) will be better for his debut fourth to Duke Of Arrakis on the Kensington. BET: WA WA WA to win. ALOYSIUS (1) was backed into $3.50 favourite on debut when fourth to Sister Daae on the Kensington on June 11. Will take improvement from the run. ZELJKO (14) hit the barriers on jumping when third to Heesen at Kembla on debut in January. Worked home soundly for second to Sound Banker when resuming over 1300m at Newcastle on June 14. BLACK BUGATTI (2) has had a long campaign but run his best race when a neck second to Malbork Castle over 1800m here last start. BET: ALOYSIUS to win. REGIMENTAL COLOURS (1) ran handy placings in two of her three starts in her first campaign. Kicked off this preparation with a nose win from Celerity at Warwick Farm. Can go back-to-back. DETAIN (6) comes from New Zealand with a win over 1100m at Te Rapa in January. Now with Kris Lees. Wasn't pushed when a close third to Flame Of Hestia on a Heavy 9 in her Beaumont heat. Made ground when second in her Juen 16 Wyong trial. OUR LITTLE STAR (5) had no luck when fifth at Gosford last start. Races well here. BET: REGIMENTAL COLOURS to win. MAL COUPE (8) followed a close second first with a near five length maiden win on a Heavy 8 over 1100m at Bathurst. Stepped up to provincial grade with a length second to Hawker Hall at Gosford. DUKE OF BRONTE (1) kicked off last campaign with three wins from his first four starts including a one on a Heavy 9 at Moruya and a Randwick Highway. Nice Goulburn trial win after sitting wide. OAKFIELD BADGER (2) drops back from two fourth placings in Rosehill Midways. UNUSUAL PROSPECT (5) debuted in New Zealand with a close second over 2000m on a Soft 7 then came to Australia and was a head second to Gwendie over 1600m. Returned this campaign with a nice win from The Beast on a Soft 6 at Gosford. Hard to go past again. ALLEGRO MISS (10) won on a Heavy 10 at Newcastle followed by a couple of handy runs on wet ground in Randwick Midways. Was sixth on a Good track at Kembla last start. Will appreciate getting back on the wet. AKKADIAN EMPEROR (1) is a winner at his only run here.

Hawkesbury best bets and inside mail for Thursday, June 26, 2025
The Daily Telegraph form analyst Mitch Cohen provides his best bets and race-by-race analysis for Hawkesbury and top picks at Lismore on Thursday. â– â– â– â– â– HAWKESBURY TIPS BEST BET Race 2 No.4: WILD THOUGHTS Lightly-raced talent poised for a big first-up showing to kick off his second preparation. NEXT BEST Race 3 No.4: LE CHOCOLAT First-up from a lengthy 38-week spell, this gelding has trialled up well and is ready to run a bold race fresh. VALUE BET Race 7 No.3: TOMBA Struggled on heavy ground first-up at Newcastle but can bounce back in a big way here with firmer footing. QUADDIE Race 4: 2, 5, 9 Race 5: 1, 3, 4, 6 Race 6: 1, 2, 7, 10 Race 7: 1, 3, 6, 9 JOCKEY TO FOLLOW JASON COLLETT is having a super season with another treble last Saturday and has great chances with Cold Brew, Miss Judas and True Amor. TRAINER TO FOLLOW Home track conditioner BRAD WIDDUP has had four runners on the card with The Grey and Audrey's Lane both right in the mix. LISMORE TIPS BEST BET Race 3 No.1: BRAVELY Scratched from Wednesday's meeting at Doomben for an easier assignment, he is going to take a power of beating. NEXT BEST Race 4 No.9: ALMALIKAT SARAH Found one better at her past two starts, this filly is ready to breakthrough in a winnable race. VALUE BET Race 7 No.10: LUVTOKNOW She has won two out of her past three on heavy ground and should relish the conditions again here. QUADDIE Race 4: 9 Race 5: 3, 4, 5, 7 Race 6: 2, 5, 7, 8 Race 7: 10, 14 JOCKEY TO FOLLOW DANNY PEISLEY has six rides across the card and can take advantage of several gun draws aboard the likes of Barron and Hardley Grey. TRAINER TO FOLLOW MATT DUNN dominates in this part of the world and with chances like Bravely, Almalikat Sarah and Dernier Lien all set to line up, he can have a fill up. â– â– â– â– â– HAWKESBURY INSIDE MAIL MALBORK CASTLE (1) is a son of trainer Richard Litt's former Group 1 gun Castelvecchio and is coming off a confidence boosting success last start. The three-year-old relished the step up to 1800m at Hawkesbury and should be well-suited at the same venue over 2200m. He can make it two on the spin here. TWILIGHT ELEGANCE (4) has mixed her form this preparation, breaking her maiden first-up over 1400m at Kembla before failing to fire over the Wyong mile. She's from the same family as former star Miss Finland so should appreciate the step up in trip. Her stablemate MAIRE DE PARIS (6) wasn't far off Malbork Castle last time. She can run well. BET: MALBORK CASTLE to win. WILD THOUGHTS (4) was scratched from Saturday's meeting on his home track at Kembla Grange to line up here. He's only had the one start to date but looks set to have a decent future. The son of So You Think wasn't far off subsequent stakes performer Modella in that debut over 1300m back on January 29. COLD BREW (1) has been runner-up in four of his five starts to date. He seems to still be putting it all together but a maiden victory isn't far away. MOCHIMA (7) and SISTER'S RUN (8) have both trialled up fairly ahead of their respective debuts. BET: WILD THOUGHTS to win. RACE 3: SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1500m) LE CHOCOLAT (4) is somewhat surprisingly still a maiden heading into the final weeks of his four-year-old season. The Chris Waller-trained galloper returns from a 38-week break with a couple of quiet trials typical of the stable. He finds himself in a winnable race here and a win might just be the confidence boost he needs to go on with it. THE BEAST (6) continues to knock at the door with seven placings in nine starts. He should settle on speed and be in this race a long way. JAMARNI (3) is racing consistently this time while Devoted To You in the unknown quantity. BET: LE CHOCOLAT to win, quinella 4,6. MISS JUDAS (5) has had her fair share of chances to break her maiden and gets another golden opportunity here. A placegetter in five of her 11 starts, the daughter of Microphone produced a tidy trial victory in the lead-up to her first-up assignment. 1000m looks to be the perfect kick-off point. EFHARISTO (2) hasn't been seen at the races for 83 weeks when she was runner-up to Erno's Cube in the 2023 Max Lees Classic. If she can recapture that form, she wins this but you have to take her on trust. ZING TO ME (9) had excuses first-up and is capable of bouncing back in a winnable race. BET: MISS JUDAS to win. THE GREY (4) looks as his name suggests and is trained on course with Brad Widdup. He finds this race third-up and should be ready to peak after battling on for third at the same track and trip last time. Widdup has added the blinkers again to keep his mind of the job. Father-son team Rob and Luke Price have two chances in ALL MACHIAVELLIAN (3) and MR ROCK IT (1) can both have claims. The former is the clear class runner if he brings his A-game while the latter has been racing well without winning this time in. DESI EMPEROR (6) keeps running into one better but it's hard to knock his consistency. BET: THE GREY to win. Boxed trifecta 1,3,4,6. AUDREY'S LANE (2) finds herself in the most competitive race on the program. The Brad Widdup-trained mare is first-up from 35-week break with a couple of trials under her belt. She's performed well fresh before and has loves the 1300m with two wins in a placing in three starts at the trip already. The firm track should be to TRUE AMOR's (7) liking. He looked like his wheels were spinning on rain-affected going in town but should get firmer footing here in easier grade. The blinkers go on. CALIFORNIA SECRET (1) has won his past two starts and gets in well considering after Braith Nock's 1.5kg claim. BET: AUDREY'S LANE each-way. TOMBA (3) was a complete forgive first-up at Newcastle when he didn't go a yard on heavy ground. The market said it all – drifting from $3.70 to $5.50 in betting – before only beating a runner home. Back on good ground here, he can bounce back in a big way over a 1500m trip he's won over before. KYEEMA (1) was scratched from Wednesday's Randwick Kensington meeting to target this race. The ex-Hong Kong galloper will take plenty out of his Kenso victory last time and a repeat of that performance undoubtedly has him right in this too. HEAVEN BOUND (6) strips fitter while CRIMSON MISS (9) is lightly-raced with her best in front of her.

Shayne O'Cass's best bets and inside mail for Hawkesbury and Nowra on Tuesday June 17, 2025
Racenet form analyst Shayne O'Cass presents his best bets and inside mail for Tuesday's NSW meeting at Hawkesbury, plus tips for Nowra. â– â– â– â– â– HAWKESBURY TIPS BEST BET Race 6 No.1 CHARLEROI: Highest rated horse in this race off an impressive last start win. NEXT BEST Race 2 No.3 ALL SAINTS: Beaten a nose on debut; spelled, trialled like a bomb recently. VALUE Race 7 No.6 LIKE LUKEY: Ideally suited out to 1800m, third-up, at a favoured venue. QUADDIE Race 5: 2,8,10,11 Race 6: 1 Race 7: 6,8 Race 8: 2,4 JOCKEY TO FOLLOW Rachel King will be popular with punters to win the TAB Jockeys Challenge. HORSESHOE HILL (7) is a 2YO taking on the older horses but only five of them at most. This daughter of dual G2 winner Miss Rose de Lago was tipped out after finishing third to stablemate O' Ole and Memo in the Wyong 2YO Magic Millions on December 11. Smashing trial win on June 6. VANLEE (6) took a lot of ground off Manaajem late when runner-up at Wyong on New Year's Eve. Trialling well herself. LAND SPEED (2) has come back in fine order. BET: HORSESHOE HILL (7) to win. ALL SAINTS (3) was off the map on debut ($2.10 into $1.55) in a Kembla 1000m Maiden on February 8. Beaten a nose with no excuse. They did run 56.66s so not a bad effort in defeat. Spelled, trialled like a bomb (as usual) the other day. CELERITY (5), an $850,000 Easter Yearling, brings strong city form, black-type form in fact, to the provincials today. EL QASABI (1) has claims on a debut second, albeit a distant one. BET: ALL SAINTS (3) to win, quinella 3,5. REVERBERATES (3) is a valuable filly for later on given she is a granddaughter of Wrap Around, herself a daughter of Beach Gown. This Brad Widdup-housed local has placed at three of her six starts, going within inches of a win at Wyong last time. MALBORK CASTLE (1) is a half to Showtime and Sweet Idea. The son of Castelvecchio is trained by Castelvecchio's' trainer Richard Litt and has placed at six of his eight starts. So ready for 1800m today! BET: REVERBERATES (3) to win, quinella 1,3. AUTUMN HEIR (7) is a possible/probable to go to Nowra today. Go well down there! That being the case, it would open the door for his stablemate JAMARNI (8) who is galloping towards his first win. Could make the case to argue that he turned in a career best last start; Zac Lloyd sticks. EMPRESS TSARINA (6) finished third in that same race at Kembla on June 3 where Jamarni was second. If you like one, you almost have to like the other. BET: AUTUMN HEIR (7) to win but if scratched JAMARNI (8) to win. NOTHING BUT NET (11) was $31 for no good reason when he came down the middle and over the top to win a 1000m 2YO Maiden at Goulburn on debut. The downside is, it wasn't an especially strong affair but the upside is, he won, he will surely take improvement from the day out and he is at home this time. That said, QUEEN'S RHAPSODY (2) 's form is far superior in terms of depth but she still has to go 1300m (first time) from the outside alley. BET: NOTHING BUT NET (11) each-way. CHARLEROI (1) was a $360,000 Easter purchase. Gelding now but still worth mentioning that he is a Dundeel out of a stakeswinning Snitzel granddaughter of Monsoon Wedding. The Sara Ryan-trained 3YO was third on debut in town, fourth on the Kenso after that and then went to Kembla and won, not by far, but still with some authority. VIA VARALLO (8) led throughout to win easily at Nowra after running third to Maison Louis no less! BET: CHARLEROI (1) to win (best bet), Daily Double 1st leg 1, 2nd leg 4. LIKE LUKEY (6) has a tidy C.V of 12 starts, three wins, two seconds and four third. Those three wins came in succession – one by four, one by two-and-a-bit and the third by a length-and-a-half here at her only previous visit. Expecting her to bounce back, big time, off the last start Rosehill run. INCANTATION (8) is a consistent Goldolphin mare who held her ground admirably in town last start. Always looked like a mile-plus type and it's 1800m today. BET: LIKE LUKEY (6) to win, quinella 6,8, box trifecta 5,6,7,8. INOUE (4) is a Peter Snowden-trained 3YO and follows Wayupinsthesky, Thousand Years and Vomo Island as residents past and present at his High Street stables. Inoue won first-up at Gosford then went to a Class 1 at Kembla and won it too only this time he beat King's Secret! Wish the stablemate CASSIEL (2) wasn't here to challenge because they are hard to split now. Cassiel is fast and a last start winner. THE GREY (6), with a home-track advantage. is presumably fitter for his first-up fifth. BET: INOUE (4) to win, quinella 2,4. â– â– â– â– â– NOWRA TIPS

Newcastle preview: An unusual failure can soon be forgotten as consistent gelding Rush Attack is well placed at home
Connections of Rush Attack are putting his last start failure down to not handling the Hawkesbury track and expect to see him return to form back on home turf. Rush Attack settled midfield on the fence bit failed to run on and beat just three home behind Enter The Dragon on April 9. Prior to that run, he won a Benchmark 72 Midway at Rosehill before a nose second in another Midway at Randwick behind Pocketing. 'There are some horses who go to Hawkesbury but just don't handle it,' said David Dyson, racing manager for Nathan Doyle. 'His previous form was very good in town which holds him in very good stead here.' The gelding drops back to a Benchmark 58 and gets in well with 59kg on his back after the claim of Mollie Fitzgerald. Rush Attack attacks the line to win the Midway second up at Rosehill for @ZacLloydx and @ndoyleracing! 🙌 @aus_turf_club â€' SKY Racing (@SkyRacingAU) February 22, 2025 'He is one of the most consistent horses in the stable,' Dyson said 'He has had a little gap between run hence why we trialled him on Monday just to get him ready. 'There's a bit speed in this race and he has drawn to get a beautiful run just behind them. 'One thing this horse does is try and he will put himself in the finish. That's just what he does.' Queen's Rhapsody kicked off her campaign on a bright note with a length win at Hawkesbury on May 15. While she won comfortable in the end, feedback from jockey William Stanley was that she floated once she hit the front. Doyle has put visors on the three-year-old this week to help her focus and she looks extremely hard to beat in the Class 1 Handicap (1250m). 'We have put the visors on this week to help he concentrate a little bit more,' Dyson said. 'She worked in them about 10 days ago and was really good. She was very sharp. They seemed to have taken her to the next level. 'Once again, we have opted to claim again. Mitch Stapleford takes three kilos off which gets her into the race beautifully.' Bohemian Art looked to have the race won at the 200m on debut when she hit but just didn't know how to put them away and Impressionism kicked back to narrowly beat her. She then went to Kembla where she was a well beaten fifth to Monte Veebee but was found to have bled from one nostril. Having galloped to stewards satisfaction since then, the stable expects her to bounce back in the Maiden Plate (1400m) for fillies and mares. 'Put a line through that run,' Dyson said. 'She galloped for the stewards here last Friday over 1000m to clear that embargo and she worked very strongly. 'We are very happy with her we think she is back to where she was at her first-up run.' Doyle also has two youngsters making their debut in the 2YO Maiden Handicap (1200m). Divo is a grandson of Makybe Diva by Capitalist who has shown plenty of ability winning his two trials this preparation. Just Response is by Justify and like his stablemate, has won both his trials. 'Divo has got a lot of speed. My one query with him is the long time between his last trial on April 24 and his race debut,' said Dyson. 'It would be great if it could get back to somewhere near a soft because the drier the better for him. 'Just Response isn't as sharp as Divo but he has got the fitness edge on his side. He trialled on the Beaumont on Monday and went very well. 'The wet track was absolutely no issue to him so he is one horse we know will get through it.'

Shayne O'Cass's tips, inside mail for Hawkesbury, Albury on Tuesday
Form analyst Shayne O'Cass presents his best bets, value selection and quaddie picks for NSW racing at Hawkesbury on Tuesday, plus his tips for Albury. â– â– â– â– â– HAWKESBURY TIPS BEST BET Race 4 No.3 SUPER NUI: Has won at the venue; won by eight on a Heavy 9 last start. NEXT BEST Race 7 No.3 HOVLAND: Lightly-raced Dundeel who broke his maiden here by four lengths. VALUE Race 1 No.4 LIKE ANYTHING: Caught the eye late at Canterbury on debut last month. QUADDIE Race 4: 3 Race 5: 1,2,4,5 Race 6: 1,2,9 Race 7: 3,4 JOCKEY TO FOLLOW Kerrin McEvoy will be rightfully popular in the TAB Jockeys Challenge. HAWKESBURY INSIDE MAIL LIKE ANYTHING (4) is trained by Ron Quinton who won two races at Canterbury with the dam, Duchess Pedrille, and 11 races all over the place with her dam, Mamzelle Pedrille. Like Anything was $31/$41 back into $31 when she fifth, beaten six-lengths, at Canterbury on debut over 1250m. Everything about the run said next time and 1400m. BELLA CAVALLO (1) is a well-bred colt by Russian Revolution out of the Tasmanian Oaks winner, Iggimacool. Has trialled rather well too. ALL TOO CLEVER (7) is back to provincial grade off a good city run. BET: LIKE ANYTHING (4) to win, quinella 1,4. ZING TO ME (4) is a sister to Peter Snowden stablemate Ka Bling. Every foal out of the mare can gallop, this one included. Ran a super race on debut here behind Agenda Setter. Smashing trial win on May 5 at HQ. COLUMBIA BLUE (1) was runner-up to Pierolite on debut; that horse was placed at the midweeks straight after. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus has ridden 11 winners in May so far! HARRY'S EVIDENCE (2) has trialled right up to the mark. BET: ZING TO ME (4) win or is scratched, COLUMBIA BLUE (1) to win. DIAMOND SHOW (7) is undoubtedly one of the most valuable horses racing today. Her dam is by Zabeel. Her fifth dam is none other than Eight Carat whose Zabeel offspring include Octagonal and Mouawad. Bred to get better with each passing day and so far, that is the case. MURPHILLY (9) has probably run what you would say are six good races in seven starts. Could even say her last start was her best given she was beaten a lip, and on a Heavy 10 too. BET: DIAMOND SHOW (7) to win, quinella 7,9. SUPER NUI (3) has a tidy strike-rate of two wins, two seconds and a third in her nine starts. Her record at this venue is one win, one second from four visits. She is one for one at the distance and perhaps most significantly, given the conditions, she won her last start on a heavy 9 by eight-plus lengths. Another good muddie here is RATHORAN (4), a dual acceptor on the card. CELTIC SIN (6) ploughed across the Heavy 8 at Wyong first-up to win. Always had talent; maybe this is 'her prep'? BET: SUPER NUI (3) to win (best bet). OUI OUI OUI (2) is a daughter of who else but Yes Yes Yes and was tipped after a creditable debut fourth to Shangri La Spring at Kembla on Cup day last year. She resumed there on April 15 this year and ran right over the top of her rivals to win, As for last start, she finished midfield in the 16-horse Guineas here on May 3. EXOTHRILL (4), another local, got a copybook ride by Chad Lever to win at Wyong but credit to the horse; he was easing down the last bit – and it was a Heavy 10 too. ICEMAN (1) is racing his way to a peak. BET: OUI OUI OUI (2) to win, box trifecta 1,2,4,5, DD 1st leg 2, 2nd Leg 3. CLIFTON SPRINGS (9) has won four races, three of them were on good tracks but he has finished runner-up twice in four runs on heavy and his soft numbers are very compelling relative to his price today. His last runs on heavy going were among his best. Sure to be prominent for a long way. INOUE (1) is two from two on soft. This pedigree is instantly recognisable as one of the late Don Storey's best and from memory, most of them were swimmers. BET: CLIFTON SPRINGS (9) each-way. HOVLAND (3) is quite a promising 3YO. Trained by O'Shea and Charlton, he was a $600,000 Magic Millions Yearling purchase by Dundeel out of Rimraam who won a Vanity Stakes and was third in a Surround. As for Hovland, he broke his maiden at this track, by four lengths no less. Good signs at Wyong first-up. Stablemate MAXIMUM DIVIDEND (4) really hasn't missed a beat in his five runs. Has the makings of a really nice miler/2000m-type (as well). SPACE ACE (8), the son of Pierro, has a win and three seconds from five starts. Importantly, the win was a Heavy 8. Will likely be the one they all have to pass. BET: HOVLAND (3) to win. â– â– â– â– â–
