Get the Coffee and Espresso System That Changed My Mornings for Free Right Now
I consider myself quite the coffee savant. One doesn't drink four to five cups a day and have a Lorelai Gilmore-esque need for coffee without becoming a connoisseur. When I was an undergraduate student, I bought coffee at the on-campus cafe daily. Whenever I travel, discovering the best coffee house around is top of my to-do list. Needless to say, I've had my fair share of coffee shop experiences -- and now I prefer to drink coffee at home. The main reason for this change in behavior is all thanks to the L'Or Barista coffee and espresso system, which is currently included at no cost on coffee capsule orders $79 and over. L'Or is currently running several promotions on its coffee systems -- right in time for Memorial Day. You can also grab the L'Or system and frother bundle for $50 off in all colors. I bought my mom this system for Christmas and we've both become L'Or evangelists. With this deal, it's not a bad time to gift your caffeine-loving mom or dad (or yourself -- I won't judge) my all-time favorite coffee and espresso system. For more Memorial Day deals, explore our roundup of all the live sales now, and these top Memorial Day mattress deals. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. Why I love my L'Or Barista Every morning, I wake up giddy to make my coffee. The Onyx Espresso capsules are my consistent go-to when I make my favorite salted maple iced lattes, which are perfect for warm, summer mornings, but I'm also a huge fan of the iced coffee capsules. Since I've perfected my morning caffeine routine with the L'Or Barista, I no longer feel any need to buy coffee out. In fact, I prefer making my coffee and espresso drinks at home since I can use my machine to tailor them to my mood on that given morning. I also love how quickly the machine heats up -- a flat 25 seconds to be exact. Nothing feels worse than waiting and waiting for a coffee machine to turn on, heat up and brew up a batch of java. Mere minutes can feel like an eternity when I'm exhausted and desperate for the energy that first cup of caffeine brings me. What comes with the system? The Pumpkin Spice capsules are my go-to in the fall, but the iced coffee capsules are my favorite during the blistering summer months. Macy Meyer/CNET The L'Or Barista is a single-serve machine that uses high-pressure brewing to make both coffee and espresso beverages at home. The system can brew six different sizes of hot or iced coffee, as well as espresso. Of course the sleek machine that's compact enough to fit on the kitchen counter is a highlight, but the capsules are also an exciting treat. Since you'll need to spend $79 or more for a free system, you can opt to taste of a variety of capsule flavors. I've tried the Caramel, Hazelnut and Le Tigre coffee capsules and numerous espresso options -- it's genuinely hard to pick a favorite. Why this makes a great gift At its discounted price tag (usually $199), the L'Or Barista would be a great gift for any coffee connoisseur in your life. In fact, my mom tried mine, became obsessed, and would subtly bring it up until I finally bought her one this past Christmas. The current sale would provide the perfect opportunity to get some key Father's Day or graduation shopping done (wink, wink). Basically, this system comes with everything you need for a complete at home barista experience, while taking any hassle out of the process. Nationwide Recalls on Frozen Meals, Coffee Creamers and More to Be Aware of Right Now
There are active recalls on coffee creamers, green beans, mushrooms and more. These recalls are impacting consumers nationwide. If you have a recalled product, dispose of it or return it to your place of you shop at Aldi, Kroger, Trader Joe's or Walmart, there's a few recalls you should know about right now. From pantry staples to frozen favorites, here are the recalls to keep in mind—and to check your kitchen for as soon as possible. There's an active recall on two types of International Delight coffee creamers, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). This is due to a spoilage issue that poses an illness risk. The bottles impacted by this recall are the 32-fluid-ounce bottles of Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll with UPC '0 41271 01993 3' and Hazelnut with UPC '0 41271 02565 2.' The recalled creamers contain best by dates of July 3, 2025, and July 2, 2025, respectively. Approximately 75,054 coffee creamers are being recalled, and they were sold in 31 states. Check your refrigerator, and if you have one of these recalled creamers on hand, throw it away or return it to your place of purchase for a potential refund. Related: Nearly 30,000 Pounds of Beef Sticks Recalled Due to Contamination—Here's What to Know This week, Nestlé USA announced a recall on various frozen meals sold at major retailers nationwide, including Giant, Kroger, Walgreens and Walmart. Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry and Stouffer's Party Size Chicken Lasagna were all impacted by this recall. If your frozen dinner matches the recalled information, dispose of it or return to your place of purchase for a possible refund. These frozen meals were recalled after multiple consumer reports that the products may contain a 'wood-like material.' If you are experiencing any illness or injury after eating one of the above products, consult with your doctor immediately. The FDA reported a recall on approximately 197,808 cans of green beans sold at Target locations in 21 states, due to a potential foreign matter contamination. The recalled 14.5-ounce cans of Good & Gather Cut Green Beans contain a UPC of '0 85239-11628 9,' best-by date of October 28, 2026, and the printed lot code '7AA 418507.' Check your pantry for these recalled cans as soon as possible—the recalled product may contain a 'foreign object.' Talk to your healthcare provider if you're experiencing any signs of illness or injury after eating these recalled green beans. Related: Hummus Is Being Recalled in Canada Following Consumer Allergic Reaction For questions about this recall (or any FDA reported recall), you can contact the FDA by calling 1-888-INFO-FDA (1-888-463-6332). Enoki mushrooms are being recalled right now due to a potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The Daily Veggies Enoki Mushrooms affected were sold in 200-gram (7.05-oz.) plastic packaging and have a printed UPC of '8809159458890.' These mushrooms were distributed to wholesalers in New York that distributed the product to retailers in other states. This recall follows the West Virginia Department of Agriculture's positive test for Listeria on a sample of the product. While there are no illnesses connected to this recall, Listeria infection can cause symptoms like fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and muscle aches. Symptoms may be more severe for those age 65 or older, immunocompromised, pregnant or for young children. Talk to your doctor if you are showing any of these signs after consuming the recalled mushrooms. SeaBear Salmon Chowder and Alehouse Clam Chowder are being recalled, per the FDA's recent report. This is because the two products pose a botulism risk. These soups were sold in retail locations in the following states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. They were also sold online and shipped to consumers nationwide. Packaged in 12-ounce pouches, here's more information on the affected products: Smoked Salmon Chowder with UPC '0 34507 07001 3' and best-by dates 10/2028, 11/2028, 12/2028 or 1/2029 Alehouse Clam Chowder with UPC '0 34507 07021 1' and best-by dates 6/2028, 11/2028 or 1/2029 Check your pantry or refrigerator, and if you have one of the recalled chowders, dispose of it or contact the company's customer service team at 1-800-645-3474 or smokehouse@ for full refunds. Due to a package seal issue, these soups are at risk to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, which can cause botulism. Common symptoms of botulism include weakness, dizziness, double vision, trouble with speaking or swallowing, abdominal pain, constipation and difficulty breathing. Seek medical attention immediately if you are experiencing any of these symptoms. More than 75k International Delight creamers recalled in 31 states, including New Jersey
More than 75,000 bottles of International Delight creamer are being recalled across numerous states, the Food and Drug Administration announced. Information published online by the FDA reveals that International Delight's parent company, Danone, initiated the voluntary recall after receiving complaints of spoilage and illness with use of the recalled products, which include International Delight's Cinnabon cinnamon roll and hazelnut flavored creamers. "International Delight is aware of a texture issue that some consumers have experienced with two of our creamers," said a representative from Danone North America in an emailed statement. "We take every concern to heart, because this is not the quality we strive for." Per the company's statement, a limited number of products failed to meet quality standards due to "premature spoilage manifesting as a texture issue." However, testing data confirmed that this is not a food safety issue. "We chose to voluntarily recall these isolated products out of an abundance of caution while we address the quality issue," reads the FDA labeled this recall as Class II, which indicates "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote." Two flavors of International Delight creamers have been recalled, according to the FDA, including: Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll International Delight Coffee Creamer: 7,747 six-pack cases of 32 oz (1 qt) bottles. The recalled bottles have a best-used-by-date of July 3, 2025, and a producing plant code of 51-4114 S The recall number is F-0625-2025 The UPC is 0 41271 01993 3 Hazelnut International Delight Coffee Creamer: 4,762 six-pack cases of 32 oz (1qt) bottles. Coffee creamer recalled due to 'texture issue.' What to know in Tennessee
Looking to put some creamer in your morning (or afternoon) coffee? Make sure it's not part of the latest food recall. More than 75,000 bottles of International Delight creamer are being recalled in multiple states across the U.S. including Tennessee, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced this week. The voluntary recall comes after the Colorado based company received "complaints of spoilage and illness with the use of the products," according to a statement from the FDA. The parent company of International Delight, Danone, is based in Louisville, Colo. "International Delight is aware of a texture issue that some consumers have experienced with two of our creamers," Danone North America said in a Friday statement obtained by USA TODAY. "We take every concern to heart, because this is not the quality we strive for." Here's what Tennesseans need to know. Two flavors in the quart size from the widely popular creamer brand are being recalled, Hazelnut and Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll coffee creamer. Here's the details: Hazelnut International Delight Coffee Creamer: 32 oz (1 qt) bottles. The product has a best-used-by-date of July 3, 2025. The recall number is: F-0626-2025 The UPC is: 0 41271 02565 2 Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll International Delight Coffee Creamer: 32 oz (1 qt) bottles. The product has a best-used-by-date of July 2, 2025 The recall number is: F-0625-2025 The UPC is: 0 41271 01993 3 The recall isn't due to a pathogen or bacteria, but due to a quality issue, according to the statement from the company. "While we know this is disappointing for our creamer fans, testing data has confirmed that this is not a food safety issue," read the statement. "We chose to voluntarily recall these isolated products out of an abundance of caution while we address the quality issue." The issue with the two products could cause premature spoilage. The FDA report, that was published online Wednesday, indicated that some people had become sick, but the amount of people it has affected was not included. If you did consume the creamer and begin to feel ill, seek medical attention, the FDA warns. The products were shipped to various stores in Tennessee and 30 other states across the country, according to the FDA notice. The states affected include: Alabama Arkansas Colorado Connecticut Florida Georgia Illinois Indiana Kentucky Louisiana Maryland Maine Michigan Minnesota Missouri Mississippi North Carolina Nebraska New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York Ohio Oklahoma Pennsylvania South Carolina Tennessee Texas Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming If you have either of the two creamers, the FDA says toss it. Consumers who are currently experiencing an issue with the product can contact the International Delight Consumer Care Line at 1-(800)-441-3321. USA TODAY contributed to this story.
