DispatchHealth completes merger with Medically Home

DispatchHealth has completed its merger with Medically Home, creating a healthcare platform that delivers complex care directly to patients' homes. The union of these two entities aims to reduce unnecessary emergency room (ER) and hospital visits, offering a more adaptable and cost-effective solution for broadening access. Operating under the DispatchHealth brand, the combined entity provides a range of care services spanning from same-day visits to extended recovery and inpatient care. This merger, which was finalised in late March 2025, is set to transform the delivery of healthcare by providing an alternative to traditional hospital-based services. DispatchHealth CEO Jennifer Webster said: 'The home is a powerful place for healing. 'Together with Medically Home, we're making it easier for health systems, payers and other customers to offer complex care outside traditional settings, while delivering a more human and connected experience for the people they serve.' The combined company now offers three core service lines, encompassing ER-alternative care for serious but non-life-threatening issues, hospital-alternative care for inpatient hospital-level care at home, and transitional care to support recovery and reduce the risk of readmission. With the completion of this merger, DispatchHealth is providing operational services to over 20 states, supporting over 50 enterprise customers. The company's capabilities include Mobile Imaging and a CLIA-certified mobile laboratory that can perform moderately complex tests. The integration process will see Medically Home's technology platform and clinical command centre model incorporated into DispatchHealth's nationwide system. The Medically Home brand is set to progressively retire as the two entities unify under the DispatchHealth name. The merger is not expected to result in any changes to existing customer agreements or services. Tebra launches ambient documentation solution for healthcare providers

Tebra, a platform for independent healthcare providers, has introduced AI Note Assist, an ambient documentation solution designed to optimise clinical note-taking processes. This HIPAA-compliant tool is integrated into Tebra's existing electronic health record (EHR) system and aims to reduce the time spent on documentation by up to 50%. It allows independent healthcare providers to focus more on patient care. Tebra chief product and technology officer Kyle Ryan said: 'The launch of AI Note Assist is a significant milestone in our mission to empower independent practices. 'Our own research shows that 82% of independent providers believe more patient time is their key competitive advantage over large healthcare networks. We're delivering powerful, affordable AI tools that help providers reclaim that advantage by working efficiently, reducing burnout, and focusing on what matters most- delivering exceptional patient care. 'We expect AI Note Assist to save our customers thousands of administrative hours while significantly improving provider satisfaction.' AI Note Assist operates by listening to patient visits and automatically generating structured, editable clinical notes. For accuracy, the solution has been tested clinically and validated by practicing providers, verifying its trustworthiness in real-world settings. This innovation enables healthcare professionals to complete documentation tasks in half the usual time. The tool supports various clinical documentation formats, such as Therapy Initial and Progress notes, SOAP notes, and psychiatric notes. It also provides ICD-10 codes suggestions depending on the details of the conversation. Providers have control over the documentation process with the ability to examine, amend, and approve notes, thus maintaining clinical precision and completeness. Tebra customers can immediately access AI Note Assist via the company's existing platform, with no need to install additional hardware or software. TigerConnect launches CareConduit to unify hospital systems

Unified healthcare communications company TigerConnect has introduced CareConduit, a cloud-native workflow automation platform aimed at unifying fragmented hospital systems and enhancing care communications. The platform addresses the challenge of integrating disparate systems, which has traditionally required substantial IT resources and incurred high costs. CareConduit is engineered to reduce notification fatigue and manual workflow issues by facilitating seamless communication for healthcare professionals. It integrates various hospital systems such as nurse call systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and virtual nursing hardware with workflow automation. This ensures that actionable information is promptly delivered to the appropriate caregiver. The platform is built upon an AI layer, which has enabled the introduction of intelligent features earlier this year and allows for advanced scheduling and workflow automation in future updates. TigerConnect chief product officer Saurin Shah said: 'Many hospitals are experiencing inflated technology costs and clinician burnout and need a solution to truly unify communications across their ecosystem. 'With CareConduit's powerful integration capabilities and cloud-native automated workflow routing, organisations will see faster time to value, reduced costs, and timely and accurate notifications to the right caregivers, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care and improving patient outcomes.' Alongside the launch of CareConduit, TigerConnect has named Anish Arora as vice-president of Product. Arora said: 'I'm looking forward to working with the team to further advance TigerConnect's offerings and help realise our company's vision of unifying communication across the care continuum.' This announcement follows TigerConnect's earlier release of pre-hospital and transfer solutions designed to improve emergency care coordination. These offerings are designed to streamline emergency medical services and transfer workflows, thereby improving patient throughput and outcomes. Mersey Community Hospital in Tasmania completes A$45m redevelopment

Australia's Tasmanian Government has announced the completion of the A$45m ($28.91m) redevelopment of the Mersey Community Hospital's outpatient clinics and operating theatres. This development, which marks an advancement for health services in North West Tasmania, is part of the government's commitment to providing quality health facilities through its 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future. Tasmania premier Jeremy Rockliff said: 'The Mersey Community Hospital plays an essential role in delivering healthcare for communities in the North West and these upgrades will allow the hospital to deliver an increased range of services to meet community needs.' The redevelopment includes a new elective day surgery centre, which will allow for an increase in surgical and endoscopy services, enabling more residents to receive timely healthcare. It is complemented by expanded outpatient clinic capacities, featuring 13 new consulting rooms, six specialist treatment rooms, and five paediatric rooms. It also offers a waiting area and additional services such as audiology and a physiotherapy gym. The first of the new clinical spaces opened last year with patients visiting the new outpatient clinics as of July. The operating theatres and endoscopy procedure rooms became operational in August 2024. Subsequent construction focused on internal refurbishment to support these areas, the creation of a new central sterilising supply department with equipment, and new offices and staff spaces. Tasmania health minister Jacquie Petrusma said: 'We're so proud to deliver this important upgrade, ensuring Tasmanians in our state's North West can access the right care, in the right place, at the right time.' The state government had previously called for tenders in July 2024 to operate a new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Bridgewater. Cohesity enhances data security for Bethany Children's Health Center

US-based paediatric healthcare provider Bethany Children's Health Center has selected the Cohesity Data Cloud to improve patient data security and simplify operational procedures. This strategic move has resulted in improved data protection and restoration capabilities, ensuring the security of patient information and the quick recovery of operations. Bethany Children's Health Center's chief information executive Kevin Chambers said: 'Our goal is to provide the best care for every child who walks through our doors, and a key part of that commitment is ensuring their health information is both protected and accessible. 'Partnering with Cohesity has strengthened our security posture and improved our ability to respond to potential threats.' Prior to this collaboration, the healthcare provider faced challenges with lengthy data backup and restoration workflows, which posed risks to patient care continuity in the event of an incident. The implementation of Cohesity's solutions has not only streamlined these critical procedures but also fortified the centre's defences against cyber threats. The healthcare provider now benefits from a unified dashboard that offers visibility into its data and backup environment. Adopting immutable backups and Cohesity's AI-driven threat detection and alerting systems has also strengthened security. In addition, the paediatric facility is exploring the potential of Cohesity's Gaia enterprise knowledge discovery assistant. Cohesity chief revenue officer Kit Beall said: 'Bethany Children's Health Center is a shining example of the best in healthcare, dedication, compassion, and a commitment to providing life-changing care to children. 'Cyber threats against healthcare organisations continue to rise, making data protection critical. Protecting the data of such vital organisations is an enormous responsibility, and we're proud to be a trusted partner of healthcare organisations across the world. With Cohesity ensuring their data is always secure and accessible, healthcare providers can focus on delivering life-changing care.'
