One such moment was during Chennai Super Kings' final game of the 18th Indian Premier League season , against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Sunday . Dewald Brevis (57 off 23) and Devon Conway (52 off 35) slammed half-centuries as CSK posted 230/5 after Dhoni opted to bat. The famed GT top-order, on the other hand, departed cheaply during the chase, leaving a relatively untested middle-order to steer the team out of trouble for the second consecutive match. After the match, MS Dhoni said, 'It's good. I wouldn't say it was housefull today, but there was a decent crowd. It's a very big stadium. We didn't catch very well, but it was a game where our fielding and catching were good.' He further added, 'It (whether he will play next season) depends. I have 4-5 months to decide, there is no hurry to decide what needs to be done. Every year it takes 15% more effort to keep the body fit. You have to give your best, this is top level cricket. The five-time champions finished the season at the bottom of the table. "Tt's good. I won't say it was houseful today, but decent crowd. It's a very big stadium. We didn't have a good season, but was good to finish on a winning note. It was one of those perfect performances in the bowling department and the batting department. We haven't caught very well, but this was one game where our fielding and catching was good," said MS Dhoni after the match. "It (whether he will play next season) depends. It was a terrific batting display from Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Thursday. The team posted 235 for 2 in the stipulated 20 overs after getting an invitation to bat first. Mitchell Marsh was the wrecker-in-chief with a sensational century while Nicholas Pooran too played a fiery knock to help LSG post a massive total against GT. An interesting battle took place in the 16th over of the LSG innings that hogged limelight. GT pacer Mohammed Siraj was smashed for a four each by Marsh and then Pooran before he tried to sledge the southpaw. Siraj bowled two bouncers to Pooran. The first one was called a wide by the umpire while the second one was a dot ball. Siraj tried to poke Pooran through his words but the LSG southpaw didn't react to it and rather made his bat to the talk. As Siraj went up to Pooran and tried to sledge him, the batter just focussed on chewing his gum and walked towards the non-striker's end to have a chat with Marsh.
