Selena Gomez's New Top 10 Hit Isn't Even A Single Yet

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's 'Younger and Hotter Than Me' debuts at No. 4 on two U.K. charts, ... More keeping momentum alive for I Said I Love You. The pop star recently dropped I Said I Love You, a collaborative full-length with her fiancé, producer Benny Blanco. While the project is beginning to slip from some charts and many of its tracks are starting to cool, the lovebirds aren't done landing wins just yet. This frame, the pair collect another top 10 hit on several tallies in the U.K. thanks to a special reissue. 'Younger and Hotter Than Me' has emerged as one of the breakout tracks from I Said I Love You, just a short time after the set arrived – though it hasn't been positioned as a single just yet. The track opens at No. 4 on both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts in the U.K. this week. The tune was issued on vinyl and other physical formats recently, which gave Gomez's loyal fans a chance to snap up a collectible. 'Younger and Hotter Than Me' is now another top 10 success for Gomez in the U.K., while Blanco continues to build his chart résumé as an artist after years as a songwriter and producer. He's still catching up to her, of course, as Gomez has spent more time in the spotlight and has released more music under her own name. With this latest win, she's now earned six top 10 hits on the Official Vinyl Singles chart. She maintains her perfect track record, every tune of hers that's appeared on the ranking has reached the top tier. Her history on the Official Physical Singles chart is almost as strong. Gomez has now secured seven top 10 placements on that tally, though not every release has made it that far. Two of her entries have missed the region. 'Younger and Hotter Than Me' earns the third-highest debut on both U.K. tallies it reaches this frame. The only new releases that start higher? Doechii's 'Denial Is a River' launches at No. 1, while Jacob Alon's 'Liquid Gold 25' arrives at No. 2. At the same time, Chappell Roan's 'Good Luck, Babe!' leaps back into the top 10 on both charts, landing at No. 3. 'Younger and Hotter Than Me' is not Gomez's only hit on the U.K. rankings this week, though it is her most exciting. She keeps a total of five songs on at least one of the nation's charts. Three of those are from I Said I Love You, as 'Bluest Flame' and 'Sunset Blvd' are both still performing fairly well. Rounding out Gomez's presence on the U.K. charts this frame are a pair of older fan favorites. 'Bad Liar' and 'Fetish,' her collaboration with Gucci Mane, both return to the Official Physical Singles chart.

Selena Gomez Scores Big, Both With New Songs And Old Favorites

Selena Gomez lands four singles on the U.K. charts and debuts her new album I Said I Love You in the ... More top five across five different tallies. (Photo byfor Rare Beauty) Selena Gomez is enjoying one of her best weeks of her career on the U.K. charts in recent memory. Impressively, it's not only due to a new release. Yes, her latest full-length I Said I Love You is out now, and it's performing well, but some of the pop star's older cuts are also back in action — rising, returning, and keeping her presence alive across a number of important tallies. Gomez's name appears across multiple charts in the U.K. this frame. Four of her tracks place somewhere on various tallies. Two of them are brand new, taken from I Said I Love You, while the other two are hits from eras past. This shows that while there's plenty of excitement around her latest offering, the pop star's older tunes are still hugely popular. Among her reappearances, 'Bad Liar' is performing especially well. The single returns to two U.K. charts this week, each of which is focused on physical formats. It reenters the Official Vinyl Singles ranking at No. 27, and also manages to come back to the Official Physical Singles list at No. 33. The catchy tune gives Gomez a top 40 win on both rosters, years after the track was originally released. One of Gomez's more popular collaborations is also a winner again this frame. 'Fetish,' which features Gucci Mane, finds space on the Official Vinyl Singles chart at No. 34. Over on the Official Physical Singles list, the same title lands at No. 42, just a couple of spots shy of becoming a top 40 seller across the rankings once more. Of course, the focus at the moment when it comes to the singer is on her new work. Two tracks from Gomez and Benny Blanco's I Said I Love You debut on several rosters in the U.K. 'How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten' makes the bigger splash between the two, starting its run at No. 83 on the Official Singles Sales chart. It also appears on the main singles ranking, entering the Official Singles roster at No. 86. Another new track, 'Sunset Boulevard,' doesn't reach quite as high. The tune manages to break onto the Official Singles chart at No. 100, squeaking onto the list in last place. The album itself is a major success in the U.K., debuting on a dozen rankings. I Said I Love You launches inside the top five on just as many charts. It performs best on the Official Album Downloads list, where it begins its journey at No. 3. It also enters at No. 4 on the Official Albums chart — the most competitive in the nation — while also opening in the same position on the Official Vinyl Albums, Official Physical Albums, and Official Album Sales tallies.

Selena Gomez's Last-Ditch Effort To Send Her New Album To No. 1

Selena Gomez floods iTunes with seven versions of I Said I Love You to boost sales and keep her ... More Billboard 200 No. 1 streak alive in a battle with Playboi Carti. (Photo by) Selena Gomez has enjoyed great success on the Billboard 200 throughout her solo career. She's managed to turn every full-length she's released into a chart-topping release…though not everything perfect lasts. The pop star's latest album I Said I Love You is locked in a tight race for No. 1, and as the tracking week comes to a close, Gomez is pulling out all the stops to ensure she doesn't miss the top spot. I Said I Love You is a collaboration with Gomez's fiancé Benny Blanco, and while that's a compelling story on its own, it doesn't look like it will be enough to guarantee another chart-topper. At the last moment, the couple released multiple editions of the same set — seven in total — and as of the time of writing, every single one is performing incredibly well. Selena Gomez's Many Versions of Her Album All seven versions of I Said I Love You are currently sitting inside the top 10 on iTunes in the United States. That's an impressive selling feat, even for a star of Gomez's caliber. The original version of the album is still the strongest performer, as it remains at No. 1 on the platform. It has mostly held steady in that spot since it dropped on Friday, March 21, and the title was always going to enjoy a lofty debut thanks to purchases of the first edition. Just behind the standard version, two alternate takes, titled Stained and Talk, land at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. Three more versions fill out the middle of the top 10, as Seven Heavens, Slowed and Reverbed, and Call Me When You Break Up Special Edition appear at Nos. 5, 6, and 7, respectively. Finally, Explained: Narrated by Selena Gomez rounds out the cluster of bestsellers at No. 9. Selena Gomez's Sales Plan Releasing different takes of the same album isn't exactly a new trick. In fact, it's something plenty of well-known musicians have done before, both with songs and full-lengths. It's a strategic move to maximize sales during a tight tracking week, and it works because Billboard often counts these alternate versions together under one entity, as long as certain requirements are met. Fans are only allowed to purchase a limited number of copies per version, so by offering several options — sometimes just barely altered — Gomez and Blanco make it possible for their most devoted listeners to support the project many times over. With other artists, new takes have been known to be instrumental or slowed, others feature alternate artwork or bonus tracks, but they all serve the same purpose: driving up total sales before the tracking week ends. Trying to Beat Playboi Carti to No. 1 These last-minute efforts appear to be in direct response to early predictions from HitsDailyDouble, which suggest that I Said I Love You may debut at No. 2 on next week's Billboard 200. According to the publication, Playboi Carti's new release Music is currently projected to spend a second week at No. 1, holding off Gomez and Blanco's joint album by perhaps tens of thousands of equivalent units. Selena Gomez's No. 1 Streak Could Be in Jeopardy As a soloist, Gomez has never missed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Her previous three full-lengths — Stars Dance, Revival, and Rare — all topped the tally, even if only briefly. Whether this marketing move will be enough to push her release past Carti's Music remains to be seen. It's also possible that Billboard may decide to disqualify some of the sales, which happens from time to time in especially egregious moments.
