Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha 'absolutely devastated' as co-star axed from show in ITV cuts

ITV Loose Women star Nadia opened up on her YouTube channel about the cuts. Loose Women panellist Nadia Sawalha has said she's "devastated" after learning that a co-star and friend had been axed from the ITV show. The move comes as the channel announced it was being forced to cut the budget for the daytime TV schedule, hitting Loose Women, Lorraine and Good Morning Britain particularly hard. Nadia spoke about the huge cuts on her YouTube channel, about how the changes were affecting her and how one of her close friends no longer had a job, writes The Mirror. ‌ Speaking with husband Mark Adderley, she said: "From next year there will be no Loose Women audience. I am totally devastated by this fact, I can't get over it at all. Not only because the audience is so important for the show, but also my dear friend Lee who I work with every day.' ‌ Comedian Lee Peart has been the warm-up act for the last eight years on Loose Women. ITV's budget cuts were first announced last month, with a number of popular programmes taking a huge hit as the broadcaster battles a mounting financial crisis. The Lorraine Show will lose its long-standing hour-long slot from January 2026, and will now air for just 30 minutes, from 9:30am until 10am. The show, presented by Scots TV legend Lorraine, has seen its airtime been slashed in half and the talk show has also been restricted to being broadcast just 30 weeks of the year. Fears have been circulating that the former journalist may quit her show, which has been running since 2010, as a result of the cuts. Lorraine received the news after returning to work following a surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes last year. ‌ The operation was described as "preventative" and performed via keyhole surgery.' As part of the shake-up, Good Morning Britain will have its current 6am to 9am slot extended until 9:30am. During the 22 weeks of the year that Lorraine will now be off-air, Good Morning Britain's airtime has been extended until 10am, adding an extra hour to its original schedule. ‌ ITV competitions are also taking a hit. ITV's Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier will reportedly no longer be sent on lavish holidays abroad. Over the past year, the duo have been whisked off to a number of sun-soaked locations to front ITV competitions, appearing on programmes such as Good Morning Britain, Loose Women, This Morning and Lorraine. Andi's enviable locations have included the Maldives, Australia, Cape Town, and Florida while Jeff has been sent to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malta. However, channel executives believe it's in "bad taste" to continue flying presenters to exotic destinations after announcing hundreds of devastating redundancies across ITV as part of their cost-saving measures. Stacey Solomon's co-star issues three-word response to Bafta reaction backlash

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Stacey Solomon came under fire with fans after she took to social media to express her "devastation" after her show Sort Your Life Out didn't scoop up a Bafta Award despite being nominated twice. And now her co-star Dilly Carter has leapt to her defence with a three-word response: "Good for you!" ITV Loose Women panellist Stacey was left in tears after her BBC home renovation programme was nominated for two two awards, Entertainment Performance and Factual Entertainment, but didn't win either category. In an emotional update shared with fans after the event Stacey was clearly upset that she and her team had left the ceremony empty handed. She lost out on Entertainment Performance to Joe Lycett's Late Night Lycett on Channel 4 and also to Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, BBC Two show. The TV personality told fans: "We didn't win a Bafta and I know I'm supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I'll be honest I'm devastated," as she laughed while stating that she was "handling it" very well. Following her online outburst, the TV star has faced criticism for not taking the loss graciously. On ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday, host Christine Lampard, standing in as Lorraine Kelly recovers at home after surgery, was joined by Dilly for a fashion segment - and she jumped on the opportunity to quiz her about Stacey's Instagram video. She asked: "What do you think? She was just sort of being real wasn't she?" Dilly said her response to Stacey's video was "good for you". She told Christine: "She is our fearless leader for a reason that's what we have to remember and I agree with her in certain respects because it's not about us it's about the production" Dilly continued to defend Stacey for speaking out: "So much goes into that show and that's why we are a bit like 'ohh', you know were just a little bit heartbroken for everyone because everyone works so hard." She continued: "I think yeah, good for you, absolutely say it how it was. I would have been more like 'oh no don't say anything' but you know she's like that. "I think she's absolutely right, I support her as always and like I say she's a fearless leader for a reason." Christine interjected: "It's not to take away from Rob and Rylan obviously because they're still brilliant but you just love your team." Dilly replied: "Of course, everyone in an award show wants their team to do well. Everyone wants to win." Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.

And while her iconic white bikini moment, from the shower on I'm A Celeb happened 19 years ago, she did more recently prove that she can still slip into white swimwear just as easily. In March this year, the former Hear'Say singer sizzled in a white bikini in a video, shot for the same fashion retailers. She captioned that video: "You've been buying my bikinis for 18 years bestowing on me the title of UK's longest running celebrity brand. Thank you to my loyal supporters. Can't wait for you to see my new range." She then added that despite being set to hit the half-century mark on her next big birthday, she harbours no plans to stop wearing revealing swimwear. She said: "This age thing is a funny one, I've never felt better, it is time to embrace and celebrate who we are. "As to the fashion rule book – I've got news for you, there isn't one. "It's all about finding clothes that make you look and feel fantastic." Despite her sexy shower scene being one of the more memorable moments on the 2006 series of I'm A Celeb, it wasn't enough to see Myleene crowned Queen of the Jungle that year. She instead had to settle for second place in the series, which saw Busted star Matt Willis triumph, and Australian singer Jason Donovan finish in third. In doing so Myleene became the first person to be crowned an "I'm A Celebrity Legend". 6 Myleene is far from averse to showing off her toned stomach Credit: BackGrid 6 Myleene baring her midrift in central London Credit: Alamy

Rachel Stevens on grief after S Club bandmate's death – and unexpected way she began to heal

Rachel Stevens has opened up about the profound grief she experienced following the sudden death of her S Club bandmate Paul Cattermole – and revealed how reuniting with the group helped her begin to heal. In an emotional new interview with Rachel, who turned 47 this week, sits down with us to reflect on the heartbreaking loss of Paul, who passed away suddenly in April 2023 from heart failure, aged just 46. His shocking death came just months before S Club were set to embark on a highly-anticipated reunion tour to celebrate 25 years since the pop group's debut. Speaking candidly, Rachel says the experience of performing with the group again – rebranded as The Good Times Tour in Paul's honour – became a powerful part of her grieving process. 'It was amazing to have the tour and be able to celebrate him,' she shares, 'It gave us a chance to grieve and to grieve together as well, which was special, and share all our amazing memories of him. It was really healing.' Alongside Paul's tragic passing, Rachel went through a divorce from ex-husband Alex Bourne, the father of her daughters Amelie, 14, and Minnie, 11, in 2022. The family moved home, and Rachel's been focused on rebuilding a new life for herself and her girls. 'My life has changed hugely over the last few years,' she reflects. 'With divorce, moving, selling our family home, my life has really taken a whole new direction.' As she discusses her emotional growth, Rachel credits regular therapy – and the people closest to her – with helping her rediscover her voice and resilience. 'The thing I've learnt is to give yourself space for how you feel and to be kind to yourself about it and to talk to people,' she says Now in a happy relationship with professional ice skater Brendyn Hatfield, Rachel is embracing a slower, more grounded pace of life, focussed on family, self-care and creating new routines. From carving out time for solo moments and date nights, to nurturing her daughters through their teenage years, Rachel says she's finally starting to feel more in tune with who she really is. 'There's lots of navigating, lots of change and new experiences,' she explains. 'But I'm honestly just trying to be the best mum I can be at this point. I want to give [the girls] the opportunity to express how they feel things are working – and know they have a voice and that they're heard.'
