The project is seen as a step towards creating an aviation-linked economic per PTI, the initiative is part of the state's New Destination Policy, overseen by the commerce and transport department. The policy aims to improve regional and international air connectivity through structured incentives, route support, and facilitation for airlines."Within a short span, the policy has significantly enhanced Odisha's aviation footprint both globally and domestically.
