Crazy reason Aussie's Bali hotel room was ransacked while she was out

A hotel worker filmed the aftermath, showing Jazz Walsh and her boyfriend's belongings strewn messily across their room. Video transcript An Aussie woman's Bali hotel room was ransacked by an opportunistic monkey while she was out. A hotel worker filmed the aftermath showing Jazz Walsh and her boyfriend's belongings strewn messily across their room. Jaz told Yahoo News that while she initially panicked about her passport and travel money, it was hard to be annoyed at the situation because the monkey was obviously just inquisitive. Luckily, their passports and wallets were all accounted for when they got back to their room, but it seemed there were other items the monkey was keen on. Jazz said the main bags the monkey took an interest in were the toiletry bags that had my skincare in them and also my travel medicine bag. The lovely hotel hosts also saw the monkey drop some AirPods from our balcony, so went in to investigate what had happened. Only one AirPod was missing. We found the case and the other AirPod. Jazz isn't the first tourist to run into thieving monkeys while visiting Bali, as many visitors have had their belongings stolen by monkeys at temples and other tourist sites.

Hilarious footage reveals why Aussie's hotel room is turned upside down in Bali

An Australian traveller was enjoying a massage in Bali on Monday when she was shown an alarming video by hotel staff. Little did she know that as she was relaxing, her hotel room had been taken over by an intruder, and complete chaos was unfolding. The footage from the hotel worker revealed the aftermath, with Jazz Walsh and her boyfriend's belongings strewn messily across their hotel room in The Korowai in Uluwatu. The culprit? An opportunistic monkey. "Hello, good afternoon, Madam. I think monkeys have come into your room earlier through this window," the voice behind the camera can be heard, while clothes, makeup and even a surfboard are lying on the floor. Jazz told Yahoo News she believes just one monkey was responsible for the mayhem. She initially panicked about her passport and travel money, and rushed back to the hotel room, but those items seemingly weren't of interest to the intruding primate. "We thought it was funny and quite cute... The monkey was obviously just inquisitive, it's hard to be annoyed at the situation. Just a little bit stressed about our passports and wallets in the room initially, but all were accounted for when we checked," the Sydney woman told Yahoo. She explained there were only two things the monkey seemed to take an interest in — her toiletries and her AirPods. "The main bags the monkey took interest in were the toiletry bags that had my skincare in them, and also my travel medicine bag. Took a liking to cold and flu hot drink sachets. "The lovely hotel hosts saw the monkey drop some AirPods from our balcony so went in to investigate what had happened... only one AirPod was missing, we found the case and the other AirPod," she explained. The Uluwatu Temple — located just over six kilometres from The Korowai — is notorious for monkey theft, with roughly 600 of the animals residing in the area. Bali villa raided by thief who stole Aussie's Airpods

A mischievous and unsuspecting thief has caused chaos at a luxury villa in Bali after raiding an Aussie's room and throwing their Airpods out the window. Aussie Jazz Walsh, who describes herself as a 'wellness corporate girlie', was enjoying a relaxing massage at a luxury resort in Uluwatu when the raid occurred. Ms Walsh received a video from staff at the hotel who broke the unfortunate news that a thief had entered through her open bathroom window. 'I think monkeys were coming to your room earlier through this window,' the staff member can be heard saying in the video. 'This window was open and I'm afraid the monkey was coming from the outside into the inside and messed things up.' After showing the trail of destruction left by the monkey, videoing Walsh's belongings strewn all over the floor of her hotel room, the staff member reveals how they knew it was a monkey who was the thief. 'I know this because headphones were falling from your room,' the staff member reveals, alluding to the fact that the monkey threw her Airpods out of the window. Ms Walsh saw the funny side of the raid, sharing the video on TikTok and revealing in the comments that the monkeys stole her Airpods but left the case behind. The video was flooded with comments, many praising the actions of the the hotel attendant. 'Why are Balinese are too cute,' one person commented. 'Omg he's so cute, I'm sorry I laughed. I hope the monkeys didn't take anything too valuable 😭,' wrote another. The four-star resort is located steps away from the popular Bingin Beach, and features a tree-top terrace, garden and cliffside restaurant. The Uluwatu area is renowned for thieving monkeys; the monkeys who have taken residence at Uluwatu Temple even featured on David Attenborough's documentary, Planet Earth III, for their developed skills in bartering. Many unlucky tourists were filmed having their sunglasses and mobile phones taken by the long-tailed macaques who would only return the desirable human items in return for a banana or chocolate bar. 'They will exploit you in a way that you couldn't believe possible, it's quite shocking,' Attenborough said in a BBC interview. PerthNow has contacted Jazz Walsh for comment. Warning for all Australians travelling to Bali after a luxury villa was ransacked by a very unusual suspect

A monkey has ransacked the room of an Australian tourist at a luxury Bali villa, taking off with the guest's AirPods and leaving the room in disarray. Sydney office worker Jazz Walsh was getting a 'relaxing' massage when she received a video message from an employee of the Korowai resort in Uluwatu, Bali. The video, which Ms Walsh shared to social media on Tuesday, depicted her dishevelled room where her belongings had been strewn across the floor. 'Good afternoon, madam. I think a monkey (has come) through your room,' the employee could be heard saying. He said the monkey had likely gained access through a bathroom window before leaving a trail of destruction. 'I'm afraid that the monkey were coming in from the outside going inside,' he said. Staff were alerted to the disturbance after discovering a pair of headphones which, the employee said, had been flung through the window. Ms Walsh added her AirPods had been poached during the raid, claiming they must have been taken out of their case, which was left behind. '(It) was hard to be annoyed when it was so funny,' Ms Walsh wrote. Cosmetics were left scattered across the bathroom floor and bags were left upturned throughout the bedroom. 'Those silly cheeky Bali monkeys,' Ms Walsh wrote alongside the video. Viewers of the video were left stunned, with most taking the side of the monkey. 'I don't know what's cuter - the monkey sneaking in or the sweet gentleman explaining the situation,' one woman wrote.
