Iconic Star Wars actor to appear at Comic Con Scotland as tickets on sale
Iconic Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen is to appear at Comic Con Scotland with tickets for the two-day event in Edinburgh on sale. The Canadian actor, best known for his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel movies, is to appear for autographs and photos at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh. Christensen leads a guest line-up for the two-day event on October 11 and 12, which attracts tens of thousands of fans annually to the convention. It is one of Europe's largest pop culture conventions, with the likes of fellow Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor, Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd and actor Jean Claude Van Damme all previously appearing. Comic Con Scotland welcomes Hayden Christensen, known for projects such as Star Wars, Jumper, and many more. Appearing Saturday Only! Tickets for Hayden will be on sale next week. Amazon Prime fans rush to binge 'incredible' thriller axed 10 years ago
Amazon Prime Video fans have been rushing to catch up with all five seasons of an intense spy thriller series that was cancelled 10 years ago. Covert Affairs, which started in 2010, follows the story of Annie Walker – a young CIA trainee who gradually becomes a key agent in the organisation. Starring Piper Perabo as Annie, the drama ran for five years and produced more than 70 episodes, winning several awards along the way. Despite being positively received by critics and winning those awards, viewership figures dropped from 6.7 million to 3.3 million over five seasons. This meant that the show was cancelled in 2014 and didn't return for the 2015 TV calendar, but still rounded off its story with a 16-episode final season. Now, in 2025, Covert Affairs has become one of the top trending shows on Amazon Prime Video, with people urging other TV viewers on social media to start watching it if they haven't already. @Ralphydir said: 'Today I was watching Covert Affairs all over again. It's such a fun TV series to watch they had so many episodes in five years and there's always something you wanna see again. The very first episode is incredible.' @LestatxLouis was particularly ecstatic that the show had returned: 'It's been years since Prime Video took off Covert Affairs and now they've brought it back!' In Covert Affairs, actor Cristopher Gorham played Auggie Anderson, Annie's CIA handler who was blinded on a previous mission – and fans became almost too familiar with Auggie. Speaking about Christopher taking on a role in a new TV show, Cindy Cinocco said: 'It's weird seeing [Christopher] not blind. I know he's not – but we got so used to seeing him that way in Covert Affairs.' Before Covert Affairs came to streaming in the UK, Luke Godfrey lamented its lack of availability on these shores: 'Good series. Unfortunately it's not available on any streaming platforms for free here in the UK.' On IMDb, user Brady Peter said the series 'had [him] glued right throughout' and called the ending 'sensational,' while praising the 'compelling' action sequences in the show. Chris Fairhall, also on IMDb, said he stayed patient and was rewarded: 'Almost exactly around the middle of season 3, it suddenly gets better and stays that way. The writing, the action, the subterfuge, it becomes an eminently bingeable spy thriller.' KUALA LUMPUR: Rapper Zamaera is riding high after her SXSW debut in the US, and now she's set to make history with her first-ever national tour—an independent feat. 'The Epiphany Tour Malaysia 2025' kicks off this Friday (May 9), spanning seven locations across the country. This tour marks a significant milestone, establishing Zamaera as Malaysia's first independent female rapper to headline a national tour. The 29-year-old, hailing from Subang Jaya, has carved out a distinctive sound by fusing hip hop, trap, and electronic music. Fresh from electrifying audiences at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, Zamaera is bringing that raw energy back home. The tour will take her to Kedah, Penang, Perak, Melaka, Sabah, Sarawak, and culminate in Kuala Lumpur. It promises to usher fans into a new era of Zamaera's artistry — bolder, freer, and more unfiltered than ever before. "My travels in the United States ignited a fire within me," Zamaera said in a recent statement. "I met artistes who reminded me why I started. Now, it's about bringing that energy back home. "This tour is for Malaysia, first and always." Zamaera explained the tour's title, revealing a sense of self-discovery. "I realised that I had been preparing for this tour my whole life. The tour follows the release of her latest single, 'Jumper,' a track characterised by its fierce lyricism, genre-bending production, and a newfound creative clarity. Zamaera is stepping boldly into her next chapter, showcasing a redefined sound that she describes as, "If hip hop, trap, and electronic music had a child, it'd be curious, wild-eyed, and ready to take the stage." Zamaera will be performing alongside her longtime collaborator, producer-DJ I-SKY (founder of Asylum Studios and curator of the iconic Lepas Geram series). The live show promises an immersive sonic journey, featuring unfiltered expression, powerful bars, and soulful melodies. In each city, Zamaera will also showcase local guest artistes, emphasising her commitment to building the local music scene. For example, in Kuching, she will be joined by Irfan Aniq, a rising rapper known for his single 'GAMETIME,' and DJ Keeyushee, a longtime creative force and co-founder of SFDP Kuching, a modern music collective and platform for emerging talent.
