Guess What Makes Karishma Tanna A "Gujju Queen" - Her Love For Theplas Of Course
Karishma Tanna is a true-blue 'Gujju queen.' No, we are not making the claims, but the actress has claimed it herself. Her latest Instagram entry is nothing but clear proof that she loves authentic Gujarati food. In the video, the Scoop film star was seen vibing to the now-viral song Intaha Ho Gai Intezar Ki from the 1984 movie Sharaabi. The fun clip, however, has a culinary twist. Karishma walks inside what appears to be her vanity van, lip-syncing to the lyrics. Her team offers her a myriad of dishes, including wraps, sandwiches, salad bowls and a fruit spread. But guess what? She refuses them all only to savour a plate of thepla. This flatbread is a staple snack in Gujarat prepared with wheat flour, fenugreek leaves (methi), and lip-smacking spices. Karishma Tanna dances joyfully as she takes a scrumptious bite of the thepla, calling herself a 'Gujju queen'. The video ends with the actress blowing kisses to the paratha. The side note read, 'My love forever .. you will know it in the Reel.' A foodie at heart, it was her gastronomical adventures that stole the show in the carousel. The opening frame captured the 41-year-old holding a plate of til laddo topped with pistachios. She brought one piece of the sweet close to her mouth and her delightful expressions proved her love for Indian mithais. Next, Karishma Tanna indulged in the goodness of strawberries drizzled with gooey chocolate syrup from Chantilly cafe in Mumbai. Karsima Tanna's desi outing involved relishing muthia — a type of fried dumplings mixed with spices and veggies, popular in Gujarat. In two additional plates, there were crispy gobi and onion pakodas paired with red and green chutneys. Finally, in the last slide, Karishma enjoyed what seems to be an appestising Spanish delicacy — Flamenquin casero. This deep-fried roll is usually filled with ham and cheese. 'Random Post .. don't ask me why,' she captioned. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Karishma K Tanna (@karishmaktanna) Karsima Tanna's epicurean diaries are just so drool-worthy. Agreed?

Pause briefly, then walk your feet toward your hands and return to standing. This full-body warm-up is especially great for engaging the core and loosening up the hamstrings. Ground-to-Overhead Plate Raise Using a weight plate or any available resistance, start from a low position and lift the weight directly overhead in a controlled motion. Lower it back down slowly. This exercise targets the shoulders, arms, and core. Feet-Elevated Plank Shoulder Taps Get into a high plank with your feet resting against a wall or raised surface. Keep your core tight and body aligned as you tap your opposite shoulder with one hand at a time. It's excellent for building core strength and shoulder stability. Supine Leg Raises with Overhead Arm Reach Lie on your back, raise your legs together while simultaneously extending your arms overhead. Lower both slowly, stopping just before they touch the ground. Let's get moving! 1. Inchworms Start by standing tall, then bend forward and walk your hands out to a high plank position. Hold for a second, then walk back your feet toward your hands and stand up. It is great for warming up your whole body and stretching your hamstrings. 2. Ground-To-Overhead Plate Raise Hold a weight plate (or any weight you have) close to the ground. Lift it straight up overhead with control, then slowly bring it back down. This one works your shoulders and arms while also challenging your core. 3. Feet-Elevated Plank Shoulder Taps Get into a plank position with your feet resting on a wall or elevated surface. Keep your body straight and stable. Tap your left shoulder with your right hand, then your right shoulder with your left hand. This move builds strong shoulders and core stability. 4. Supine Leg Raise With Overhead Arm Movement Lie flat on your back. Lift your legs up together while reaching your arms overhead. Lower both slowly but do not touch the ground. This targets your lower abs and stretches your upper body. 5. Renegade Dumbbell Row Begin in a plank position and hold dumbbells in both hands. Now, row one dumbbell up towards your chest while balancing on the other arm. Lower it down and switch sides. This helps strengthen your back, arms and core. 6. Boxing Punches Put on your gloves and hit the pads with strong, confident punches. It is a fun way to get your heart rate up and release stress. Try these moves, and you will feel like a total champ, just like Karishma Tanna.

‘Frustrating': Karishma Tanna Breaks Silence On Scarcity Of Work After Scoop
Karishma Tanna was expecting character-driven roles after her noteworthy performance in the Hansal Mehta directorial show, Scoop. Karishma Tanna's gripping performance in the web show Scoop brought her critical acclaim and immense recognition on International platforms. Despite the praises, the actress has been mostly been out of work with only a special appearance in Call Me Bae to her credit since the show's release. As Scoop recently turned two, the actress opened up on the reason behind her absence from the films and shows lately. Talking to Hindustan Times, Karishma Tanna said, 'I genuinely don't have an answer. After a long time, I had a platform and an acting-driven script. Scoop was challenging. It's not like I have become extra choosy after the show. I know if the right script is written, the director can take it to a higher level. I am just waiting for that kind of work to come my way." Karishma Tanna was expecting character-driven roles after her noteworthy performance in the Hansal Mehta directorial show, as she added during the chat about her work endeavours. In the same chat, the actress admitted to feeling frustrated due to the long wait for good scripts to come her way. She confessed, 'I want to be on set… to hold a script again, face the camera, and be around directors and producers. But this is the price you pay when you do a show like Scoop – it's a waiting game for something equally good. I am going through a lot of mixed emotions. Sometimes I feel, 'Jo bhi next aayega, I will take it.' I doubt whether I will be happy on set or not." Scoop, based on Jigna Vora's biographical memoir Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, stars Karishma Tanna in the role of a crime journalist, Jagruti Pathak, who seeks justice after being falsely implicated in a murder case. The show, available for streaming on Netflix, earned her the Best Actress in a Drama Series award at the 2023 Filmfare OTT Awards. She also clinched the prestigious Critics' Best Actress award at the 2024 Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival. Besides Karishma Tanna, Scoop also features Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Harman Baweja, Deven Bhojani, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Shikha Talsania, among others in the lead roles.
