As Scoop recently turned two, the actress opened up on the reason behind her absence from the films and shows lately.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Karishma Tanna said, 'I genuinely don't have an answer. After a long time, I had a platform and an acting-driven script. Scoop was challenging. It's not like I have become extra choosy after the show. I know if the right script is written, the director can take it to a higher level. I am just waiting for that kind of work to come my way."
Karishma Tanna was expecting character-driven roles after her noteworthy performance in the Hansal Mehta directorial show, as she added during the chat about her work endeavours. In the same chat, the actress admitted to feeling frustrated due to the long wait for good scripts to come her way.
She confessed, 'I want to be on set… to hold a script again, face the camera, and be around directors and producers. But this is the price you pay when you do a show like Scoop – it's a waiting game for something equally good. I am going through a lot of mixed emotions. Sometimes I feel, 'Jo bhi next aayega, I will take it.' I doubt whether I will be happy on set or not."
Scoop, based on Jigna Vora's biographical memoir Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, stars Karishma Tanna in the role of a crime journalist, Jagruti Pathak, who seeks justice after being falsely implicated in a murder case. Set in the period of the 70s and 80s in Mumbai, Manoj will play the role of Inspector Zende, who sets out to catch the infamous Swimsuit Killer who breaks out of Tihar Jail. Loosely inspired by a true story, this tale of determination and sheer grit unfolds into an epic cat-and-mouse chase. The OTT giant shared the poster of the film on their Instagram handle on Thursday. On the film's significance for the entertainment industry, Producer Om Raut shares, "Inspector Zende's story is one that deserves to be seen, remembered and celebrated. A gripping chase that's as entertaining as it is inspiring, and most essentially, it was my father's dream to make a film on Inspector Zende. Bringing this film to life with Netflix has been an incredible journey," as quoted in a press note shared by Netflix. Producer Jay Shewakramani adds, "Netflix's support for distinctive, true-spirited stories and their ability to take them to audiences across the world make them the perfect partner for this film. We're excited for viewers to meet Inspector Zende, an unlikely hero with an unforgettable story." The quirky drama of a hero cop, Inspector Zende, is set to stream on Netflix on September 5. Meanwhile, Manoj's 'Family Man' Season 3 is expected to release soon. ‘Would Do It': Tejasswi Prakash Is Ready To Go Bald If A Role Demands

Last Updated: Tejasswi Prakash says she would go bald for a character if required. The actor also opened up about her haircare routine and recent transformation journey. Tejasswi Prakash, renowned for her gorgeous long hair apart from her acting, claims she's ready to bid adieu to them if the role calls for it. The actress, who gained popularity with Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, shares that she would think about shaving her head bald for the good of a character. In an open conversation with Hindustan Times, she mentioned that she hasn't been approached for balding yet, but she wouldn't think twice if that came to her. 'I would do it," she replied in response to whether she would go bald. 'I would go bald for a character if it requires. I'm very committed like that most of the time.". I get the sense that individuals in recent times have somehow managed to circumvent it… Like I'm doing something that's about change. But there are millions of people in the business who have proceeded and discovered so many other means of doing anything and everything, from making your colour of hair be a particular way or making you bald or making you blonde. There are just so many other workarounds that no one has requested. If I'm ever requested, I would do it." The actor feels that technological and cosmetic fixes have altered the way the industry tackles transformation. From colouring hair to bald caps, the filmmaker now has the means to prevent unintended requests from actors to change dramatically. But Tejasswi maintains that her commitment to the profession would drive her to take the additional step. If the character requires it, she's willing to take the bold step. Tejasswi's Transformation And Future Roles Tejasswi also dropped a clue regarding the next role that involved a transformation. Though she didn't reveal much, she mentioned that she needed to lose a bit of weight for the role. The actor is no stranger to challenging herself, having starred in Naagin 6, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, Bigg Boss 15, and Celebrity MasterChef. Despite the buzz around her long hair, Tejasswi prefers to keep her haircare routine simple. She credits her mother's traditional methods, especially the age-old 'champi' or scalp massage. 'My hair routine is quite simple. Like my mother raised me, that is champi included. Of late, I have added a lot of steps to my hair routine. It is now about doing like a serious hair wash and applying a good hair mask for some 5-10 minutes and then applying good serum," she explained. She just strutted the ramp in Delhi for a Godrej Professional hair show, where she modelled The Surreal Collection. Combating Bad Hair Days With Panache Like everyone else, Tejasswi too has bad hair days. But she has her strategies to deal with them. 'Yes, I do have bad hair days, primarily because I have straight hair. My bad hair days are not because my hair is frizzy. It is when my hair is truly flat with no volume. My hair somehow gets oily within one or two days of shampooing. Those for me are my bad hair days. And during that time, I just had a sleek hairstyle like a ponytail," she said. Whether it's balding for a role or covering a bad hair day with an elegant ponytail, Tejasswi Prakash shows she's a trailblazer for whatever life and the camera throw her way.
