Himesh Reshammiya Claps Back At Trolls, Asks 'Regular Gau Ya Naak Se?' At Mumbai Concert
Last Updated: Himesh Reshammiya opened his CapMania tour in Mumbai, delighting fans with his nasal singing. Find out how he took a dig at critics. Himesh Reshammiya opened his CapMania concert tour in Mumbai on Saturday, May 31. The singer, who has been massively trolled for his nasal tune, clapped back at critics, asking whether they wanted him to sing in his regular voice or nasal tune. He was met with loud hoots and cheers from the audience. Himesh Reshammiya took his fans back in 2004, reminding them of simpler times. The singer-actor wore his signature cap with a long coat as he presented himself in front of a packed audience in Mumbai. Mid-concert, Himesh asked fans: 'Thoda regular gau yaa naak se? (Should I sing in a regular style or nasally?)." They requested nasal. He asked them, 'Are you sure?" The audience said 'yes" in unison. In his high-pitched nasal tune, Himesh sang two lines of Aashiq Banaya Aapne for them. Recently, the 51-year-old singer spoke about his nasal style of singing. He told Pinkvilla, 'Aaj toh nasal ki baat bhi nahi kar rahe hain (Nobody is making that criticism of my nasal singing these days). Many people did nasal singing after me, so many of my songs became hits." He further explained why there was even a need for his nasal singing in Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Himesh said in the same interview, 'Actually, even though I call it nasal singing today, for me, it was never nasal, it was high-pitched singing. It was a cry for help! In the 'Aashiq Banaya' video, this guy is actually crying in pain, singing, as well as dancing." Himesh had also responded to Janhvi Kapoor mocking his Instagram videos on Koffee With Karan – specifically one where he's working out with 'Tandoori Nights' playing in the background. 'Yes, I know. This is a very good thing. It has been so many years but the likeability of 'Tandoori Nights' remains. We have millions of views, the word 'tandoori' is very lucky for me," he said. Meanwhile, the I Love You Saiyyoni singer expanded his horizons by stepping into acting after making an indelible mark in the music industry. The actor recently played the titular character in Badass Ravi Kumar, a film that sparked meme-fest with its dialogues, action and songs. As for Himesh Reshammiya, he will next perform in Delhi on July 19 after a successful concert in Mumbai. First Published: June 01, 2025, 13:33 IST

Himesh Reshammiya takes a dig at critics, asks fans at Mumbai concert 'regular gau yaa naak se?'
Himesh Reshammiya has responded to long-standing criticism of his singing style, addressing the debate head-on during a recent concert in Mumbai. Speaking to a cheering audience, the singer-composer asked whether they preferred his singing in a "regular" tone or in his widely recognised "nasal" manner — a vocal style that has often divided opinion on social media. In the video, after singing two lines of Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Himesh asks the audience, "Thoda regular gau yaa naak se?" (Should I sing in a regular style or nasally?) The 51-year-old artist, who rose to fame in the early 2000s with a string of hit songs, reflected on his journey in a earlier interview. 'I always thought I was doing high-pitch singing,' said Reshammiya, before confidently claiming that he had been the one to introduce nasal singing to the Bollywood music scene. 'Aaj toh nasal ki baat bhi nahi kar rahe hain (Nobody is even talking about my nasal singing these days),' he said, noting how many artists had followed in his footsteps. 'Many people did nasal singing after me. So many of my songs became hits.' Known for chart-toppers like 'Tera Suroor' and 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', Reshammiya's signature sound has attracted both acclaim and mockery. In the same interview, he responded to actor Janhvi Kapoor's recent comments on Koffee With Karan, where she poked fun at his older Instagram videos. He added, 'It's a good thing. It has been so many years, but the likeability of 'Tandoori Nights' remains. We have millions of views — the word 'tandoori' is very lucky for me.' Reshammiya, who was recently seen in his film 'Badass Ravikumar', is currently on his CapMania concert tour.

The Traitors: What You Get When Bigg Boss And Roadies Have A Baby
Amazon Prime Video on Friday released the trailer of its new reality show The Traitors at an event in Mumbai - and let's just say, the drama is already real and the knives are out (metaphorically for now). Think of it as a spicy cocktail of Bigg Boss chaos and Roadies betrayal. But this time, there are 20 contestants, 3 secret traitors, and one simple rule: Trust no one. You can smile, hug, and make friends... But be careful, there's a good chance you might be hugging your enemy. Sounds like a regular Monday at work, doesn't it? Chaos And Betrayal But Made In India This show has already caused 'drama' in over 30 countries. Now, it's set to turn Indian screens into war zones. The original recipe is international, but the spice is 100% desi. The casting is straight out of a reel trending on social media. There are influencers with millions of followers, TV stars, fashionistas, comedians, and even a poker champ. The idea? Bring in people who already know how to perform and ensure their followers come along for the ride. Smart move, Prime Video. Very smart. At the helm of this wild journey is none other than Karan Johar, who is trading in film scripts for mind games as the host (but not of Koffee With Karan). Picture him channelling Salman Khan on Bigg Boss with more sass and a sharper wardrobe. Decoding The Game Of The Traitors The first episode of The Traitors will arrive on the streamer on June 12, with new episodes dropping every Thursday at 8 pm. Each week, the show promises to offer a sneak peek into emotional breakdowns, dramatic accusations, and friendships that go from "bestie" to "betrayer" in perhaps less than 60 seconds. But here's the real game: it's not just about winning money - it's about earning trust too. And that, dear reader, is the rarest currency in any reality show. If reality TV was a video game, The Traitors is boss level. From the looks of it, it's smart, sneaky, and emotionally messy - just how we like it. Meet the 20 Brave (Or Foolish?) Contestants of the Traitors Raftaar - Rapper, reality TV show judge, and possibly too chill for all the drama Karan Kundrra - Actor, host, and reality TV regular Apoorva Makhija - Fashion influencer with a strong game face Sufi Motiwala - Fashion critic who'll probably read everyone's outfits AND motives Nikita Luther - Poker champ; bluffing is her cardio Sahil Salathia - Actor, model, maybe a future traitor? Jannat Zubair - Gen Z queen with a million fans Uorfi Javed - Social media's wildcard; expect fireworks Raj Kundra - Businessman-husband of Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty and now a reality player Elnaaz Norouzi - Glam, grit, and maybe game Lakshmi Manchu - South Indian star power Harsh Gujral - Comedian and actor who'll laugh through the lies Anshula Kapoor - Arjun Kapoor's sister and a rising social media star out to make her own mark Sudhanshu Pandey - That one serious contestant who might surprise us Janhvi Gaur - Digital creator with killer instincts? Purav Jha - Gen Z actor, possibly the stealthiest of them all Jasmin Bhasin - TV sweetheart-turned-reality TV warrior Maheep Kapoor - Fabulous wife with a sharp tongue Ashish Vidyarthi - Veteran actor ready to outplay them all Mukesh Chhabra - Casting king now cast into the drama himself

5 Bollywood separations that shattered fairy-tale romances: Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone to Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor
Bollywood has countless fairytale romances for its audiences. Not just on-screen but even their off-screen dating made us manifest a relationship like that. However, several celebs who once gave major couple goals ended in heartbreak, leaving all shocked and saddened. From Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone to Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, here's a look at some star-studded couples whose real-life romances couldn't bloom into lasting relationships. 1. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone Duration: 2007-2010 Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were once the most sizzling couple in the Bollywood industry. They were in a relationship for a few years after first meeting on the sets of Bachna Ae Haseeno. Deepika went to the extent of getting Ranbir's initials, 'RK', tattooed on the nape of her neck to show her love for him. Their chemistry, not just off-screen but even on-screen, was top-notch as seen in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. However, their relationship hit a rough patch, and the duo called it quits. Earlier, on Koffee With Karan, the actress opened up about her breakup with Ranbir and shared, 'It was very, very difficult for me because somewhere that relationship became my world.' She further added, 'That relationship really taught me a lot when it ended. It's made me a better person today. He says it himself.' Deepika Padukone is now happily married to Ranveer Singh, while Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot to Alia Bhatt. 2. Shahid Kapoor - Kareena Kapoor Duration: 2004-2007 Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were the fans' favorite Bollywood jodi. Their on-screen and off-screen romance once grabbed headlines. They worked together in Fida, 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke, and Jab We Met. Just before the release of Jab We Met, the reports of their breakup started making the rounds. Ironically, their pairing was most praised in that film. During an episode of Koffee With Karan, KJo revealed that when Kareena was dating Shahid, she became a vegetarian and even gained weight to show the effects of a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. She even became quite spiritual during that period. In an interview with Anil Thakraney in 2007, the Singham Again actress brushed off the idea that Shahid was 'lonely and depressed' after their breakup. She shared that he appeared surrounded by female co-stars enjoying their attention. Shahid Kapoor is now happily married to Mira Rajput, while Kareena Kapoor is married to Saif Ali Khan. 3. John Abraham - Bipasha Basu Duration: 2002-2011 John Abraham and Bipasha Basu began dating during the filming of the movie Jism. They dated for almost 10 years and made red-carpet appearances together. They even spoke about marriage in several interviews and appeared to be an inseparable couple. However, their breakup came as quite a shock for their fans. Though the exact reason for their break-up is unknown, Bipasha once told Times Of India, 'Though no break-up is a good break-up, time heals everything, including broken friendships. But cheating, infidelity, and deceit are generally tough to forgive, and in those cases, real friendship is not possible.' John Abraham soon married investment banker Priya Runchal shortly after their breakup. Bipasha Basu later tied the knot with Karan Singh Grover. 4. Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan Duration: 2000-2014 Bollywood's Greek God Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan were one of the most adored couples of the industry. They have always been seen supporting each other through thick and thin. They were married for 13 years and share two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan. However, their marriage hit a rough patch, and they went for a divorce. Though the exact reason behind their divorce is not known, Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, once hinted that a misunderstanding caused their separation. In a chat with Yuvaa, he shared, 'They were the ones who fell in love, they were the ones who had a misunderstanding, and they have to solve it. For us, she came to our house, and she is still a member of the house.' The duo moved on in their lives. Hrithik Roshan is currently dating Saba Azad, while Sussanne Khan is in a relationship with Arslan Goni. 5. Nargis Fakhri and Uday Chopra Duration: 2013 - 2017 Nargis Fakhri and Uday Chopra were in a relationship for approximately five years. They often denied dating rumors and never made their relationship public during those years. However, their separation came as a shock to everyone, given that they had been in a relationship for 5 years. In an interview with ETimes in 2021, Nargis Fakhri opened up on regretting not making her relationship public. She shared, 'Uday and I dated for 5 years, and he was the most beautiful human I met in India. I never have said this to the press as people told me to keep my relationship quiet, but I regret that because I should have shouted from the mountain tops that I was with such a beautiful soul.' A report in the Times of India also suggested that Uday Chopra ended the relationship via a text message, leading to Nargis's sudden departure to New York. Though these star-studded couples got separated, their stories continue to spark conversations and tug at heartstrings. Fans may never forget the magic they created together, both on-screen and in real life, proving that even in glitzy B-Town, love doesn't always guarantee a happily-ever-after.

How Raveena Tandon Confronted Farah Khan For Spreading Rumours About Her Fight With Karisma Kapoor
New Delhi: For the unversed, Farah Khan has a successful YouTube channel where she showcases her cooking skills along with her celebrity friends. She has many industry people visiting her home to whip up a lip-smacking meal, while they chat and have fun. The latest celebrity was none other than Raveena Tandon. But what caught everyone's attention from the episode was when Raveena Tandon confronted Farah Khan for spreading rumours about her catfight with Karisma Kapoor. The allegation had taken place on the sets of Karisma and Raveena's 1994 film Aatish: Feel The Fire. Raveena told Farah, " Sab jagah aapne jaa k bola k humare jhagde ho rahe the. Humlogo k konse jhagde ho rahey they? (You went everywhere and said that fights were happening on set. When did we fight?)" Farah remained adamant in her statement, as she said, " Arey true hai y e. (It's all true!)" Raveena reverted, " Maine kya jhagda kiya? Mai toh apna kar rahi thi, and meri jo dancer ladkiya jo dost hai unke saath ek dusre ko non-veg jokes suna rahe the. (What did I do? I was sitting with dancers who were my friends, and they were sharing non-veg jokes.)" Farah Khan was a choreographer for one of the songs in Aatish: Feel The Fire. Back in 2007 on one of the episodes of Koffee With Kara n, Johar had asked her about the worst catfight that she has witnessed between two actresses. Farah mentioned Karisma and Raveena's fight, and shared, "They were hitting each other with their wigs. One was hitting, the other was stamping her foot with her heel. It was quite childish. I am sure they will laugh about it now."
