New mother Kiara Advani is celebrating her 34th birthday today, July 31, and her industry colleagues, as well as fans, have turned the day into a celebration. Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and others have shared heartfelt birthday wishes for the War 2 star on Instagram. But the one wish everyone was waiting for has finally arrived — from her husband, Sidharth Malhotra.
Kiara Advani rang in her 34th birthday with her most precious gift — being a mother to her baby girl. Sidharth Malhotra wished his wife on her special day from a rare photo from one of their holidays together. In the picture, Kiara was seen channelling her inner Barbie in a short pink dress and matching sunnies. Sidharth also wrote a beautiful birthday wish for her. Back in 2023, during an episode of Koffee With Karan, host Karan Johar took a trip down memory lane as he recounted the moment when Sidharth and Kiara first met. While chatting with guests Varun Dhawan and Sidharth, Karan revealed the surprising circumstances that led to their first encounter. 'I'll tell you where they met for the first time. We were wrapping…it was strange. It was serendipitous, or whatever the word is. We had just wrapped Lust Stories, where she shot that big scene," he shared.
Karan went on to describe how, after wrapping up the shoot, they all headed to a mutual friend's birthday celebration. 'We all went there. There was Vicky, there was Kiara, there was me, and there was Neha Dhupia. And then Sidharth Malhotra called me, and I told him, 'We're at this party in Bandra. Why don't you come?' Not realising anything," he said, subtly implying his accidental role in bringing the two together.
Adding to the memory, Sidharth said, 'I met Vicky, Kiara, and Amrit all together for the first time," to which Karan responded, 'But at that party, you came. Somehow, you said, 'Okay, I will come,' which is not your personality. And that's where he met Kiara for the first time." Karan was quick to clarify that he hadn't planned their meeting—it simply unfolded naturally.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra dated for years before tying the knot in 2023 in a fairytale wedding in Rajasthan. Earlier this month, they welcomed their daughter.

And the fact that Priyanka was cast alongside Amrish Puri as his wife, so it felt more like a Shashikala-type role. You know, like the ones Shashikala or Bindu used to play in older films. But with time, narratives change, and so do perspectives. And I thought to myself, my God, Bebo (Kareena) made such a big mistake.' According to Darshan, Kareena was offered the film first and she could have easily grabbed Sonia's part. 'But Bebo is Bebo. She always wanted to glide through everything easily. She lost out on that role because she chose not to do it. She picked the heroine's part opposite the hero. She could have taken Priyanka's role too, but she didn't.' What followed was reportedly an unspoken rift between Kareena and Priyanka, with each taking subtle (and not-so-subtle) digs at the other over the years. On various seasons of Koffee with Karan, both stars made pointed remarks. At one point, Kareena even questioned Priyanka's National Award win for Fashion, prompting widespread speculation about tension between the two. Interestingly, the two actresses shared a couch on Koffee with Karan in 2019 during its sixth season, where they laughed off their past remarks and displayed a surprisingly warm, refreshed dynamic.
