Two Great Games That Couldn't Be More Different Are Free Right Now

The Epic Game Store is currently giving away two PC games that are both very good, but also extremely different. First up, you can grab a free copy of the beloved indie platformer Limbo. And then, you can snag Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, a strange but fun Borderlands spin-off, for the low price of zero dollars. The Mega Sale event is happening right now on Epic's PC storefront, offering big discounts on a ton of games, including The Last of Us, Cyberpunk 2077, and Grand Theft Auto V's fancy enhanced port. And that's nice and all. But maybe you're getting ready to buy a Nintendo Switch 2, and some games to go along with it. Or you're trying to save money for some other reason. Thankfully, during each week of the sale, Epic is giving out free PC games. And this week's games are the aforementioned Wonderlands and Limbo. Just a heads-up that these games will only be free until June 5. Meanwhile, the Epic Games Mega Sale event ends on June 12, so we'll get two more freebies before the party wraps up. Released in 2010, Limbo is a fantastic, bite-sized, black-and-white 2D platformer that made a big splash over a decade ago on Xbox Live Arcade. Since then, this creepy and minimalistic game has been ported to everything and is worth checking out, especially if you loved 2016's Inside, which was developed by the same folks. Meanwhile, 2022's Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is probably the exact polar opposite of Limbo. Wonderlands is a fantasy-themed Borderlands spin-off featuring melee weapons, magic, and a big overworld map. It's a strange game, but one which I've played through twice and enjoyed thoroughly. If you like Borderlands and haven't played this looter shooter spin-off yet, now is a great time to hop in. And if you're excited about Borderlands 4, launching in September, Wonderlands will keep you busy until then. . For the latest news, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

One of the greatest platformers of all time is currently free on Android

TL;DR Limbo is currently free on both PC and Android via the Epic Games Store. The stylish 2010 title is considered one of the best platformers ever made. It will be free until June 5, but it remains in your account forever once claimed. Platforming games have long been one of the best suited to playing on phones, and if you act quickly, you can grab one of the best platformers of all time for keeps. The essential horror/puzzle/platform title Limbo is the latest free game on the Epic Games Store, and it's available on both PC and Android. In case you somehow missed Playdead's 2010 classic, Limbo is a stylish black and white platformer where you control a boy searching for his sister in a dangerous land. Many of the game's puzzles rely on trial and error, with the expectation that the player will frequently die and restart from the last checkpoint. Once claimed, the game will remain on your account forever. Each of those deaths is pretty gruesome. You'll be impaled by giant spiders, crushed in hydraulic presses, and smashed by bear traps as you make your way to the end of the game. Despite this, watching your character ragdoll due to the unique physics engine is actually a highlight. The game was released on Android over a decade ago, but the critically acclaimed 2016 sequel Inside has not. It was ported to iOS way back in 2017, but for whatever reason, it never received an Android release. Playdead's third game has been in development for more than eight years at this point, but there's still no news on a release date. Regardless, you can claim Limbo from the Epic Games Store for free until June 5, so don't miss out. Once claimed, it will remain on your account forever. On PC, you can grab both Limbo and Tiny Tina's Wonderland. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . You can stay anonymous or get credit for the info, it's your choice.

Beach party: Psych-rock band had its beginnings in McMaster University basement

The year is 2011. Tuesday nights were the best times for Tony Doni and his school friend Gabriel Bitti to go into the basement of McMaster University's Togo Salmon Hall to make music. 'The next room over would be someone actually practising something and we'd be playing as loud as possible, essentially like drum-and-bass, hard-style electronic music,' said Doni. 'It makes for an interesting environment.' More than a decade later, the two play in the three-person band, The Beach Bats. When Doni and Bitti met, they had a mutual connection — both were in the university's music program, with Doni in classical music and Bitti in percussion. With Doni on the bass and Bitti on the drums, the two would spend hours in the empty school's practice area, showing up in the late hours of the night. 'We'd emerge from the basement having just played for hours and it's like, 'Oh, now it's four in the morning' without realizing that that much time had gone by,' he said. The jam sessions were defined by their playful and experimental nature, the two bouncing ideas off each other. Despite their long-standing friendship and musical alignment, the pair didn't join forces in The Beach Bats until 2018, when Bitti joined the duet. The same goes for Doni and Chelsea White, who played together for about six years before forming the band after meeting through White's brother. Doni went to St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School in Stoney Creek and White went to Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School in the east end. 'I brought a lot of musicians that I knew from high school into a band and (White) into that group of friends as well,' said Doni. 'These are still the people I play with.' While the band's music can be described as alternative psychedelic rock, the experimental essence of making music in university remains. Did Sasuke lose his rinnegan in Naruto Shippuden? Explained

Sasuke could be dubbed one of the strongest characters from the Naruto Shippuden universe. From being a cold teenager to becoming the shadow hokage, Sasuke's journey has been one of the most intriguing ones. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now His journey saw a lot of ups and downs, in which he got multiple powers and lost a lot of them. One such instance is when Sasuke got his Rinnegan. Yes, after Nagato, Madara, and Obito, Sasuke became the first one to wield the Rinnegan. Moving forward, we will discuss how Sasuke got the Rinnegan and how and when he lost it. Sasuke and the saga of Rinnegan At the time when the fourth great shinobi war was going on, Sasuke was beaten badly by Madara Uchiha when the Ghost of Uchiha became the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails. In the unconscious state, Sasuke was visited by the God of Shinobi's spirit. Hagoromo here only revealed that Sasuke and Naruto are the reincarnations of his sons Indra and Ashura. Keeping all this in mind, Hagoromo divided his powers between Naruto and Sasuke. And Hagoromo's chakra triggered the Rinnegan activation in Sasuke's left eye. And yes, the Rinnegan of Sasuke was unique, and it had different abilities as well. Sasuke's Rinnegan allowed him to use Amenotejikara, which is a space-time ninjutsu that lets him switch places with people and objects. He also had the ability to open portals for different dimensions, along with advanced techniques, Chibaku Tensei and Limbo. In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations , Sasuke lost his Rinnegan against Boruto in a battle when he was possessed by Momoshiki. This shows us the shifting of the power centre from Sasuke and Naruto to the next generations. All in all, in the time when he had the Rinnegan, Sasuke only used it to defend Konoha and stay honest to his role of Shadow Hokage, which could have been the story of Madara if he had not gone rogue.
