Liverpool could complete SENSATIONAL swap deal for Julian Alvarez
Liverpool are planning to upgrade their attacking options in the summer transfer window. We have already seen the club make a bid for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz - with a resolution hopefully expected before long. But Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes won't stop there. There are plans to bring other attackers on board - including a new face at No9. Advertisement Departures are inevitable with centre-forward options Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez available for the right price. But players on the wing could leave too as Hughes and Slot set about assembling a summer transfer war-chest. Luis Diaz has been linked with Barcelona although Al-Nassr now appear ready to test Liverpool's resolve for the Colombian. Ben Doak is attracting attention from within the Premier League and could be on the move to Everton in their new stadium. Chiesa linked with Anfield exit And Federico Chiesa could also be on the move after a single season on Merseyside. The Italian winger, 27, hasn't enjoyed a successful season on a personal level. Advertisement He played just over 100 minutes in the Premier League, appearing in 14 matches for Arne Slot overall. With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Chiesa is said to be desperate to win his place back in the Italy squad. It's going to be difficult if he remains on the fringes at Liverpool - and so Chiesa could be moving on this summer. Napoli are thought to be keen in Serie A but a new report in Spain describes Chiesa as a 'golden opportunity' for Atletico Madrid. © IMAGO - Arne Slot Federico Chiesa Liverpool 2024-25 Atletico want Chiesa Despite signing Antoine Griezmann to a new contract, it seems as though Diego Simeone is keen to bolster his attacking options. Advertisement And the name of Chiesa has been presented to club bosses by sporting director Carlos Bucero according to AS. Maybe Atletico are making plans to offload an attacker - perhaps Liverpool-linked Julian Alvarez - although it must be added that the Argentine and Chiesa are very different players. But maybe a cash-plus-player deal might suit both parties? It's hard to see Chiesa making the breakthrough at Anfield - particularly with Mohamed Salah ahead of him in the queue - and a move to pastures new could be just what he needs to kick-start his career.

Liverpool could suffer TRIPLE transfer blow at the hands of Real Madrid
Real Madrid look set to be a thorn in the side for Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window. It appears Los Blancos are close to adding Trent Alexander-Arnold as a high-profile acquisition in the off-season with the Reds right-back confirming on Monday that he would be leaving the club. Advertisement There is also transfer interest around Alexis Mac Allister and Ibrahima Konate but Liverpool fans will be hoping those Madrid inquiries aren't pursued this summer. Following a bruising season however, Madrid are unlikely to stop at just Trent. They have got several players on their radar - and they could be about to frustrate Liverpool once again in the chase for two defenders. It's no secret that the Reds are looking at Milos Kerkez and his Bournemouth teammate Dean Huijsen ahead of a reported £95 million summer double deal. Kerkez, 21, could be available for around £45m - having been signed once before by Liverpool sporting director and former Bournemouth executive Richard Hughes. Advertisement Huijsen, meanwhile, has got a very tantalisingly low £50m release clause in his Cherries contract and appears to be on the shortlist of several top European clubs. Madrid scout Huijsen and Kerkez And now, according to TBR Football, the Spanish capital club were in attendance last weekend as Bournemouth claimed a 2-1 victory in the Premier League against Arsenal at the Emirates. 'Real Madrid sent scouts to watch the Liverpool-linked pair of Dean Huijsen and Kerkez in action against Arsenal as Bournemouth won 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium,' a report reads. Huijsen was on the scoresheet while Kerkez was once again in impressive form. While it's believed Liverpool remain frontrunners for the Hungarian's signature, his name is now very much on the list at the Bernabeu, 'Real Madrid consider the 21-year-old as one of the options on their shortlist to bolster their left-back department,' the report reads.

Corriere dello Sport and report that Lazio are ready to sign Nuno Tavares on a permanent transfer from Arsenal for just €5m. Advertisement The Serie A side secured the 25-year-old's services on a loan deal with an option to buy last summer, and his performances in his debut season in Italy's top-flight have convinced the Biancocelesti to buy him permanently. Tavares is only second to Romelu Lukaku for assists provided in Serie A this season, eight in 21 matches. According to Lazio's early move to sign the talented defender has sparked Juventus' interest, with the Bianconeri looking for a possible replacement for Manchester City and Liverpool-linked defender Andrea Cambiaso. Calciomercato claims that Nuno Tavares' cost over the summer could exceed €15m, a fee the Bianconeri could match in June, before the beginning of the Club World Cup.
