If Rahul contests polls from Pak, he will certainly win

Ghaziabad: Spiritual guru Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, claiming that he is immensely popular in Pakistan and would win by a huge margin if he ever contested elections there. His remark came after a few videos of Rahul Gandhi went viral in Pakistan. Talking to IANS, Acharya Pramod Krishnam said: 'If Rahul Gandhi contests elections from Pakistan, he will win with a thumping majority. Rahul Gandhi does not trust the statements of Indian leaders or institutions. When the Indian Army states it has given a befitting reply to Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi demands proof. But if a leader from Pakistan says something, he immediately believes it. This is why the people of Pakistan love him so much, and it seems he, too, has a deep affection for Pakistan.' Krishnam further reacted to Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks questioning the government over Operation Sindoor, where the Congress leader raised concerns about the mission and specifically asked External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar how many Indian aircraft were lost during the operation. 'Rahul Gandhi has made it his habit to question the Indian Army, the Parliament, and the Constitution,' Krishnam added. 'When a child goes astray, there is usually hope of reform. But Rahul Gandhi, despite coming from such a prominent family, seems completely spoiled. I don't see any chance of him improving. Still, I advise him not to speak against the country.'

Plea to cancel Rahul Gandhi's bail bond rejected

1 2 3 Pune: The court of special magistrate Amol Shinde rejected the plea of Satyaki Savarkar, great-grandnephew of Hindu ideologue Veer Damodar Savarkar, to cancel the bail bond of Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. The court in its order of May 28 observed that Gandhi was granted permanent exemption from appearing before the court after he was released on bail, and enough grounds were not cited to cancel his bail bond. The court rejected Satyaki's plea because the grounds mentioned by him to cancel Gandhi's bail bond were not justified. The court relied on the Orissa High Court order in the case of Chinmaya Sahu vs State of Orissa, which stated that bail granted under the provisions of Section 436 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) could be cancelled by invoking Section 439 (2) of the CrPC. The court order stated that if Satyaki wanted to pray for cancelling the bail bond of Gandhi, he could file a plea under Section 439 (2) of the CrPC. Gandhi's lawyer, Milind Pawar, submitted that the court did not impose any conditions on his client at the time of granting him bail, so there was no question of cancelling his bail bond. The lawyer said his client was facing a charge of criminal defamation under Section 500 of the Indian Penal Code, which was a bailable offence. Satyaki filed the criminal defamation case over alleged objectionable remarks made by the Congress leader against Savarkar in a March 2023 speech in London.

Ladda dacoity case: One accused's name cropped up in 2023 list of illicit business operators in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The investigation into the dacoity at industrialist Santosh Ladda's bungalow has uncovered that Yogesh Hajbe, one of the detained suspects, was previously identified in a register of unlawful business operators. This list was presented by Maharashtra legislative council's Leader of Opposition (LoP) Ambadas Danve during the assembly session in 2023. Danve's presentation included detailed information about operators from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city, their business types, and alleged police payoffs. Hajbe (31) has previous records of bootlegging activities. He subsequently expanded his illegal operations to include managing lodges and got involved in flesh trade. Danve's allegations suggested that the city police were collecting Rs 60 lakh monthly from various illegal enterprises. He specifically mentioned crime branch inspector Sandeep Gurme during the session and called for a thorough investigation, causing significant disturbance within police ranks. Inspector supervising Ladda probe was named by Danve in 2023 The matter has since received little attention from senior police officers or politicians. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Где два мира сливаются воедино SAUDI Забронировать Undo The current dacoity investigation is being supervised by inspector Gurme. However, he is yet to be relieved from his current position due to the ongoing Ladda case investigation. Police commissioner Pravin Pawar, who assumed office in June 2024, claimed unfamiliarity with the LoP's previous assembly session allegations. "Currently, the primary focus is on the ongoing investigation in the dacoity case. We will definitely look into whether any police personnel were in touch with the accused named in the dacoity case, and if we find any connection, we will definitely initiate action," he said.

BJP's Jitendra Singh takes dig at Revanth Reddy's PoK remarks: ‘Hilarious'

Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday took a jibe at the remarks made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding India taking back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) if Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi was the Prime Minister, stating that it was "hilarious". He asserted that PoK exists today due to decisions made by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who held him responsible for both the partition of the nation and the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. "It is hilarious if any Congress leader says that if Rahul Gandhi were the PM of India, the PoK would have been India's part. But the fact is that had Rahul Gandhi's great maternal grandfather, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, not been the PM of India, the PoJK would not have been (in existence) today. It is the result of his actions that first, the nation was divided, then Jammu and Kashmir was divided," Singh told ANI. "We must not forget that when the India-Pakistan war was going on, and our forces were in a situation to win the PoK back, it was the then PM Jawaharlal Nehru who declared a unilateral ceasefire on the Akashvani without consulting with anyone," he added. Singh's remarks came in response to statements made by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, who said that if Rahul Gandhi had been the Prime Minister, India would have taken back PoK. He was speaking at an event that raised questions on why Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called a ceasefire to the recent military operations against Pakistan without consulting political parties, even though an all-party meeting was held before military strikes began. "Why was no all-party meeting called to seek the opinions of all the parties before declaring a ceasefire?" asked Reddy on Thursday while participating in Congress 'Jai Hind Yatra' in Nizampet, Hyderabad. Addressing the event, Reddy called PM Modi an "expired rupee". He said, "Modi is expired rupee, Modi is like a 1000 rupees' invalid note. Today, this country needs Rahul Gandhi's leadership. If a leader like Rahul Gandhi would have been Prime Minister of this country, then he would have taken (former PM) Indira Gandhi as inspiration and would have walked in Kaali's (Maata) way and would have made Pakistan into two parts and would have taken PoK back." Reddy drew comparisons with the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's leadership and her decisive action against China and Pakistan, including the 1971 war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Bihar Politics: RJD's Tejashwi Yadav Hits Out At PM Modi Post-State Visit, Raises 11 Queries On Development

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to Bihar, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a fierce counterattack, questioning the Prime Minister's silence on key issues facing the state. Taking to the social media platform X, LoP Yadav accused the NDA government of failing to develop Bihar despite being in power for 20 years in the state and 11 years at the Centre. In a strongly worded post, he wrote: "There is record-breaking unemployment, poverty, and migration in Bihar, all of which are the bitter gifts of the NDA's two-decade-long rule." He cited NITI Aayog data, saying that Bihar ranks at the bottom in critical sectors like education, healthcare, law and order, industry, and per capita income. Accusing PM Modi of ignoring real issues, LoP Yadav said: "The Prime Minister comes to Bihar only in election years, and each time, he repeats the same old announcements and inaugurations, some dating back to 2015." To drive home his point, he released a poster featuring a half-face image of PM Modi with the caption "Mouh Khula Hi Nahi", claiming the Prime Minister remained silent on the health status of CM Nitish Kumar, unemployment and job creation, the poor state of Bihar's healthcare, rising crime and lawlessness, failing education system, Bihar's long-pending demand for special state status, the safety of business owners and traders, absence of industrial development, lack of new investments, continued migration of Biharis and widespread poverty in the state. During his visit, PM Modi launched and inaugurated projects worth Rs 48,500 crore, including infrastructure and agricultural projects, and saluted the armed forces for their valour in Operation Sindoor. He also conducted a roadshow on Thursday and addressed a large rally in Karakat (Bikramganj) on Friday. However, LoP Yadav dismissed these as repetitive electoral stunts, arguing that the people of Bihar are now aware of such misleading statements and hollow promises. "This is Bihar – and Biharis know exactly who is telling the truth and who is not," he asserted.
