‘I had a first look inside Sephora's newest UK store and here's what I'll be buying'

Sephora's tenth UK store opens to the public today in Manchester's Arndale shopping centre. I had a look inside ahead of opening, and these are the products I'll go back to buy Beauty fans – and especially those that live in the northwest of England – will be excited to hear that there are now even more places to try and buy their favourite products from in real life, as beauty giant Sephora has just opened its tenth UK store. Following on from the success of the Trafford Centre shop, Manchester now has a second Sephora store, as another opened its doors in the city centre's Arndale shopping centre at 10am today. This makes it easier than ever to try before you buy trending brands that you'd perhaps previously only been able to buy online, such as Merit, Glossier and Makeup by Mario. I was lucky enough to get a look around the Manchester Arndale Sephora store yesterday ahead of its opening and, despite being a beauty editor with a cupboard full of products, there was so much in store that genuinely excited me, either because it was a brand I'd never heard of before or was one I'd been desperate to try. Here's what I'll be going back and adding to my basket, either online or IRL... Clomana Beauty Marshmallow Sponge Shape 2 £10 here I'd never heard of this brand before, but it was displayed right by the door in the Manchester store and my attention was immediately grabbed by these cute little meringue-shaped make-up sponges, packaged up to look like luxurious sweet treats. Latex-free, this chubby sponge expands to three times its size when wet, and helps to perfectly blend your face base. I'll be trying this when my current go-to Beautyblender needs replacing. Haus Labs by Lady Gaga Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation £42 here Haus Labs isn't a new brand to me – I've already reviewed its super-lengthening mascara and balmy highlighter stick – but I've yet to try the brand's foundation, a favourite with Molly-Mae Hague, and so here's the chance to find my perfect shade (I reckon I'm 100 Light Neutral). When swatching it in store, I was impressed by how weightless it felt on the skin, and the 'middle ground' type of finish it gave – not too matte, not too dewy – which reminded me a little of the cult classic Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Merit Beauty The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick £34 here Again, a product that there has been much hype about, but one I'd never tried – and I could immediately see why it's so popular. It's so creamy and blends beautifully, allowing you to add as much or as little coverage as you like, exactly where it's needed. I was surprised to find that I was a lighter shade that I had anticipated – Ceramic, the lightest one – so it's worth bearing in mind if shopping for it online that the colours are a little deeper than you might think. If it's glow rather than coverage you're after from your stick foundation, Charlotte Tilbury's Unreal Skin Foundation Stick, £35, certainly delivers that – in my full review I say how it basically made me look 10 years younger. Sephora Collection Bubble Bath & Shower Gel Currently £7.59 here (usual price £7.99) These unusual-shaped giant, round bottles stopped my in my tracks – and then once I sniffed them, I was totally converted. These cute bubble bath/shower gel formulas from Sephora's own brand come in five different scents and make a lovely treat that won't break the bank. Coconut and Monoi get my vote.

Trinny London's long-lasting foundation that withstands 'hot and humid' weather

Perfect for beating the heat, beauty fans have been heaping praise on Trinny London's BFF All Day Foundation for being 'light' and staying put in hot weather Trinny London is a hit in the beauty world for its portable, stackable and minimalistic makeup products, along with its supreme anti-ageing skincare formulas. As the weather heats up, one of the brand's items is growing more and more popular for lasting through hot weather. The BFF All Day Foundation, £41, comes in a whopping 18 shades for light, medium and deep skin tones, making it easy for beauty fans to find their perfect match. Not only is the formula hailed as 'lightweight' by reviewers, but also promises to smooth skin and minimise the look of fine lines. The Trinny foundation leaves behind a matte finish, perfect for delivering a natural look. Ingredients like pro-ceramide help smooth out skin texture, while vitamin B3 addresses the appearance of ageing signs. A similar option is Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation, retailing at £23.20 (was £29) on Boots. Offered in 40 shades, it claims to offer medium coverage for glowy skin. Those wanting a breathable formula for less can check out the e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Foundation for £6.40 from Amazon. The BFF All Day Foundation has earned a 4.3-star rating from fans, with one delighted reviewer commenting: "Perfect! Lightweight, moisturising, and doesn't settle into my fine lines /pores. Stayed on even with humid climate conditions." Another added: "Great coverage, but light and easy to apply. I use Sophie in the summer and Amy in the winter when I'm paler. Something that doesn't slide off my face during the day if it's hot, and makes my skin look amazing!" However, not everyone was thrilled with the foundation. One person gave it a three-star review, saying: "I prefer the destress tinted serum. The formula is much better for my skin." Meanwhile, a fourth makeup fan said the product made them 'look younger'. They added: "This is the best foundation I have ever used. It makes me look younger and my skin looks radiant. Truly love it worth every penny." According to Trinny London, the BFF All Day Foundation offers all-day staying power, as well as coverage that doesn't crease, cake, or settle into fine lines. Shoppers can snap it up for £41 here. Heat, humidity and sweat can make it hard for makeup to stay put, but there are ways to prolong any base. This Nars Light Reflecting Primer hydrates the skin with hyaluronic acid, helping to prep the skin for seamless makeup application while ensuring the wearer's glow lasts all day. It's on sale at LookFantastic for £35.20, down from £44.

Nadia Bartel reveals what her makeup free face REALLY looks like as she shares the secret to her flawless skin

Nadia Bartel has shared what her bare face really looks like. In a candid video shared to Instagram on Tuesday, the former WAG and clothing design went makeup free as she disclosed one of her skin secrets. The 39-year-old displayed her line-free visage as she worked her angles for the camera. Nadia explained that normally she wears 'a full face' of makeup on social media but she wanted to show her fans her bare skin. She then zoomed in close to the camera to reveal a series of pimples and 'bumps'. 'You can't see it when I have makeup on. But the reason I wanted to show you, is this always happens to me when I am not cleansing and exfoliating properly' she said. Nadia then explained that 'loads of makeup and fake tan' can lead to blemishes. To combat her issues, Nadia said she has been using a gentle exfoliating cleanser from Cetaphil. Nadia previously revealed her the secrets to her make-up routine. Speaking in the Instagram clip as she contoured her face, Nadia said: 'It's all about sculpting the face and really highlighting everything'. She explained that she puts dark contour on before foundation and goes over the lips to make them bigger. 'First I like to bronze them all out, then concealer,' she added revealing she uses one from MAC. The star finished off the look with Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Nadia recently flaunted her flawless complexion and 'glowing skin', which she said she achieves using only one skincare product. 'Here is my five minute skincare/makeup routine for healthy, glowing skin,' the former WAG said. She added: 'I don't wear a lot of makeup during the day, and prefer a good BB cream.' Nadia started her streamlined routine with pre-cleansed skin, first using a $69.95 Vitamin C serum from Laroche Posay. 'It brightens my skin and promotes a radiant glow,' Nadia explained. Forgoing even a basic moisturiser, the influencer squeezed a $25 SPF50+ tinted BB cream from the same brand, spreading across her face with just her fingers. 'It offers natural-looking coverage with an easy-to-apply, non-greasy formula, and it provides very high broad spectrum protection against harmful UV rays,' she said. After promoting the sponsored brand, Nadia went on to blend an unnamed caramel-toned nude eyeshadow into the crease of her eyelids. She concluded by curling her eyelashes and touching up her plump pout with a Chapstick.

Mikey Madison's "1970s Italian" Makeup Look Just Became My Roman Empire—8 Products to Re-Create

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. I'm a beauty editor who's covered award shows for nearly 10 years. I feel like I've almost seen it all, so I rarely get excited about a red carpet makeup look unless it's really something special. That's the case with Mikey Madison's 2025 BAFTAs look. The actress, who was awarded Best Leading Actress for her role in Anora, appeared on the red carpet with a sophisticated, "'70s Italian"–inspired makeup look. I was instantly obsessed. In fact, I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Celebrity makeup artist Melissa Hernandez created the look, using the famed Italian actress Virna Lisi as a reference. "For Mikey's BAFTA look, we were channeling that effortless, sultry vibe of '70s Italian icon Virna Lisi—timeless, but still modern and cool," she says. "Her custom gown was so sleek and simple, so I wanted the makeup to add a bit of soft, smoldering depth, especially around the eyes. Nothing too heavy, just that perfect balance of polish and ease. And with the vintage Tiffany necklace tying everything together, the whole look felt so chic and effortless." I was determined to recreate the look as soon as possible, so I waited with bated breath to find out which products Hernandez used. Luckily, I have all the details, and I'm sharing them with you. Keep scrolling to see all eight exact items. To no one's surprise, Hernandez used Armani Beauty's iconic Luminous Silk Foundation to perfect Madison's complexion. With medium coverage, a natural finish, and up to 24-hour wear time, it's no wonder this foundation is so famous. Hernandez mixed the shades 1.5 and 3 for a perfect match. View Deal Next, Hernandez used the brand's matching concealer in shade 1.5 on areas that needed more coverage. It has a hydrating, blurring formula with a radiant finish, so it's perfect to use on the under-eye area. View Deal For a sun-kissed effect, Hernandez applied this creamy bronzing powder in shade 90. It's infused with skin-benefitting oils, so it feels super soft and silky on the skin. View Deal Madison's soft and sophisticated flush was thanks to this cool-toned, baby-pink blush. View Deal IMO, this liquid highlighter is the underrated finishing touch of the makeup look. The shade 1 Halo is a painfully pretty translucent pearl color. It gives the skin the most ethereal, red carpet–worthy glow. View Deal It seems Hernandez repurposed this matte liquid eye shadow into eyeliner, judging by Madison's striking, ink-lined eyes (why not?). The formula is long-lasting, crease-proof, and offers up to 16 hours of touch-up-free wear. View Deal Hernandez also used Armani Beauty's Smooth Silk Eye Pencil, which you can use to precisely define the eyes or smudge out for a softer, more diffused look. View Deal Hernandez finished Madison's eye makeup look with a swipe of a soon-to-be-released mascara (more on that later). She paired her sultry eye makeup with a neutral, rosy-pink lip color. It was Armani Beauty's Lip Power Lipstick in the shade 104, which is described as a "medium beige mauve." View Deal
