Trinny London's long-lasting foundation that withstands 'hot and humid' weather
Perfect for beating the heat, beauty fans have been heaping praise on Trinny London's BFF All Day Foundation for being 'light' and staying put in hot weather
Trinny London is a hit in the beauty world for its portable, stackable and minimalistic makeup products, along with its supreme anti-ageing skincare formulas. As the weather heats up, one of the brand's items is growing more and more popular for lasting through hot weather.
The BFF All Day Foundation, £41, comes in a whopping 18 shades for light, medium and deep skin tones, making it easy for beauty fans to find their perfect match. Not only is the formula hailed as 'lightweight' by reviewers, but also promises to smooth skin and minimise the look of fine lines.
The Trinny foundation leaves behind a matte finish, perfect for delivering a natural look. Ingredients like pro-ceramide help smooth out skin texture, while vitamin B3 addresses the appearance of ageing signs.
A similar option is Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation, retailing at £23.20 (was £29) on Boots. Offered in 40 shades, it claims to offer medium coverage for glowy skin. Those wanting a breathable formula for less can check out the e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Foundation for £6.40 from Amazon.
The BFF All Day Foundation has earned a 4.3-star rating from fans, with one delighted reviewer commenting: "Perfect! Lightweight, moisturising, and doesn't settle into my fine lines /pores. Stayed on even with humid climate conditions."
Another added: "Great coverage, but light and easy to apply. I use Sophie in the summer and Amy in the winter when I'm paler. Something that doesn't slide off my face during the day if it's hot, and makes my skin look amazing!"
However, not everyone was thrilled with the foundation. One person gave it a three-star review, saying: "I prefer the destress tinted serum. The formula is much better for my skin."
Meanwhile, a fourth makeup fan said the product made them 'look younger'. They added: "This is the best foundation I have ever used. It makes me look younger and my skin looks radiant. Truly love it worth every penny."
According to Trinny London, the BFF All Day Foundation offers all-day staying power, as well as coverage that doesn't crease, cake, or settle into fine lines. Shoppers can snap it up for £41 here.
Heat, humidity and sweat can make it hard for makeup to stay put, but there are ways to prolong any base. This Nars Light Reflecting Primer hydrates the skin with hyaluronic acid, helping to prep the skin for seamless makeup application while ensuring the wearer's glow lasts all day. It's on sale at LookFantastic for £35.20, down from £44.

Kylie Jenner's £4.40 brow gel is worth the hype but watch out for one thing
Kylie Jenner's go-to brow gel costs less than a fiver and has been a staple in my makeup routine for a while now - but there's one slight downside to the product Kylie Jenner 's TikTok account has become a treasure trove for beauty-obsessed fans looking to upgrade their makeup and skincare routines with the latest celebrity-favourite products. From promoting the latest from her own beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics, to sharing exactly how she gets her wavy hairstyle, with the help of her hairstylist, Kylie is sharing all of her beauty tips and tricks on the social media app. But I found that her latest recommendation, the got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel, is a product that's long been a part of my makeup routine - and for good reason too. Kylie showed off her most recent makeup routine in a 'get ready with me' upload, and prepped her brows with the gel, which you can get your hands on for just over a fiver in your local supermarket and your closest Boots or Superdrug store. The gel is practically invisible, vegan friendly, free of silicones and alcohol and is dermatologically tested, so you can trust that your skin won't react badly, despite this product offering a super strong hold for your brows and edges for up to 72 hours. It's made of the same 'Glued' formula that you'll find in got2Be's iconic hairspray, which is often used to keep slick back buns frizz free and even hold wigs in place all day long. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. We'd love to hear from you! My review of got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel I've been using the got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel for a long while now and I'm currently on my second purchase as it quickly became a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I usually apply the gel before my foundation and allow it to fully dry for brows that won't budge all day long. Not only does the gel last all day, but a little goes a long way, so you can be sure to have this as part of your beauty bag for a long while before you run out and have to repurchase. I haven't used the gel on my edges so I can't speak for their hold there, but for my brows, which can be quite unruly at times, this is the best product to tame and keep them neat. Pros and cons of got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel Pros Super strong hold Quick-drying Hold lasts well over 24hrs Cons Slight flaking if there's excess product left on the skin I've found that a white residue appears if mixed with foundation or SPF Where to buy got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel

Love Island fans 'rumble' first Casa Amor bombshell - and it's a past Islander
Love Island 2025 viewers are convinced they know the first name to be confirmed for this year's Casa Amor before the twist has even been confirmed on the ITV2 series Viewers think they already know which former Love Island star is set to enter the famous second villa, Casa Amor. During the series and just as the couples have usually formed strong bonds, the series airs a second villa twist with new arrivals. For a few days the original boys and girls are split up in separate villas, with a group of new boys and girls arriving to cause drama. The twist has often led to unexpected betrayals, shock exits and new couples. Ahead of the show confirming if it will air this year or not, fans think they already know someone who will enter as part of the shake-up. Sophie Lee was axed from the show on Tuesday night in a brutal dumping, after her partner Harry was stolen by Shakira. Sophie's exit left fans stunned with many gutted to see her go so early on. But some viewers are now convinced her time on the show isn't over. With a recent series seeing a dumped girl return to the villa for Casa Amor, viewers are now speculating Sophie will be back on the show in a matter of weeks, as a bombshell in the second villa. Taking to X, fans guessed the twist would happen with one fan writing: "I reckon Sophie will re-enter the villa as a bombshell by the end of next week at the latest or she will re-enter in Casa Amor." Another said: "Dw Sophie you'll be back in 4 weeks for Casa Amor." A third viewer begged: "Nah bring Sophie back for Casa Amor she deserves a chance." A fourth fan agreed: "Bring her back for casa amor!!" as a fifth viewer posted: "Gutted for her and bring back Sophie as a bombshell or Casa Amor." The comments kept on coming with one reading: "They better bring Sophie back as a Casa bombshell. Justice for Sophie." Another said: "BRING SOPHIE BACK FOR CASA AMOR!" It comes after Sophie was axed from the show in the latest episode. Despite not initially being at risk of an early exit, the motivational speaker and author was abruptly booted out of the villa after her man Harry was chosen by newly single Shakira. It was Shakira who had been told by host Maya Jama in the previous episode that she could be leaving within hours. Shakira had just 24 hours to woo another man, after her partner Ben was stolen by American bombshell Toni. Blu, Conor and Harry all chose to opt for Shakira, knowing full well she'd only be able to pick one of them. It wasn't an easy choice, more so because she knew, as clarified by Maya, that the girl left single would be going home instead of her. With the three boys standing, Shakira's fate was sealed. It was then Helena, Alima and Sophie who were at risk. It came down to Shakira choosing out of the three boys, with some encouragement from Maya. Maya urged the Islander to remember why she was here, no doubt trying to lessen her panic over sending a girl home but also so she would make the right choice. With that, Shakira named Harry as the man she wanted to steal. Sophie was immediately dumped from the villa as a result, as Maya confirmed she was now single and would be leaving the show.

Love Island viewers fume over 'unfair' new rule as fan favourite dumped
Love Island viewers watched as the first contestant was dumped from the Mallorcan villa in tonight's episode, however many weren't happy with the twist that led to her exit The Love Island villa lost its first single woman from the 2025 summer series after a savage twist that saw star Sophie Lee exit the show. However, fans aren't happy with the result - with many slamming the show's new rule as "cruel" and "unfair". Tonight's episode saw 22-year-old Shakira Khan make her decision after being given the power to steal a man from her fellow female cast mates. After getting to know the remaining five men, with her original pick Ben Holbrough being stolen by bombshell Toni Laites, Shakira headed to the fire pit to pick her new match. Blu Chegini, Conor Phillips and Harry Cooksley stood up to show that they wanted to re-couple with Shakira, and after initially agonising over who to pick, Shakira eventually chose Harry. This meant that Sophie was left single - and therefore dumped from the island after just one day on the show. Fans took to social media to slam the result, with many angry over Sophie's early exit from the competition. Some even said that Sophie deserved better than Love Island anyway, with one writing: "Sophie Lee story is amazing but why did she choose Love Island? #LoveIsland." A second said: "Sophie is too good for Love Island #Love Island." A third tweeted: "Sophie intentions are too pure for Love Island I feel badddd #loveisland." Sophie opened up about the devastating accident that nearly claimed her life and left her with permanent facial scars in the launch show. Speaking on the show, Sophie said: "I've only had one boyfriend. When I was 22 I was in a fire accident. It made me the woman that I am. It made me learn so much about life and interactions with people and how to be better. "I believe to date people, you also need to be in a good place in yourself. That's why in my early 20s, I think I wasn't ready to date because I didn't feel good in myself. I had a lot of self work to do, I had a lot of building my own confidence." The now-29-year-old was left fighting for her life after a horrific fire-breathing acciden t. The author and motivational speaker was performing a fire-breathing routine aged 22 when a powerful air conditioning unit blew a fireball back into her face and chest. She told Fabulous Magazine: "The air-con was too strong so when I blew the fire out it blew back to me. It set me on fire. I just remember being in so much pain, I blacked out for a little bit. It's crazy. It happened in front of everyone and I had to get on with it as professionally and quickly as I could. As soon as I got into the ambulance, I was in bits."
