KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was killed and a woman was injured Saturday night after crashing on a rural highway in Lone Jack, Missouri. said that at about 7 p.m., officers with the Oak Grove Police Department, deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, and troopers with MSHP were called to Highway F, just south of Colbern Road, on reports of a deadly crash. Gladstone home explosion leaves one dead, cause still unknown Investigators found that a 66-year-old Kingsville man had been driving a 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide southbound on Highway F, with a 54-year-old Odessa woman as his passenger, when the crash occurred. According to the MSHP, the driver drove off the road, causing the motorcycle to become airborne and land in a ditch before overturning. The man was taken to Lee's Summit Medical, where he reportedly died just before 8 p.m. The woman was taken to Centerpoint Hospital, where she is said to have moderate injuries. ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Dallas County died in a single-motorcycle wreck on Friday, May 30. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the wreck occurred at 7:51 p.m. on U.S. 54 around five miles west of Collins. A 38-year-old male — who was westbound on a 2007 Yamaha Road Warrior — overturned off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, the report says. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by St. Clair County Coroner Randy Sheldon. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the report. The report says next of kin have been notified. A witness stated the suspect left the Kia and entered the Mercedes-Benz as a passenger earlier in the day. The suspect then stole the Mercedes-Benz from the Plaza and the victim and witness called for a ride back to Costco, where the suspect had left his vehicle parked, according to court documents. Court documents say the victim saw the Mercedes-Benz parked, at which time the victim attempted to recover her vehicle by going to the driver's side door and opening it. The suspect began driving through the parking lot with the victim holding onto the driver's door. The victim stated she lost her grip on the door and fell to the ground. The suspect then ran over the victim with the vehicle and left the scene. The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. On May 23, a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) responded to a single-vehicle crash involving the stolen Mercedes-Benz in Polk County. WEBSTER COUNTY, Mo. — Two teenagers are dead, and another was injured after their car was in a crash with a semi-truck just east of Rogersville at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2008 Mercury Mariner SUV carrying three teens was traveling north on Porter Crossing Road at a median crossover with U.S. Highway 60. The driver crossed through the westbound lanes of U.S. 60 when a semi-truck struck the vehicle at the intersection, MSHP says. The crash sent the SUV off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times, totaling the vehicle. The semi-truck traveled off the right side of the roadway before coming to a stop. Springfield man charged with felony child endangerment after motorcycle crash The two passengers in the SUV, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female from Rogersville, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the 17-year-old driver was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries.
