Panthers LS JJ Jansen seems pretty stoked about his Madden NFL 26 rating
Carolina Panthers long snapper JJ Jansen is finally right where he should be in the video game world. On Thursday, EA Sports revealed the top ten Madden NFL 26 ratings for the league's long snappers. And Jansen, who is now in his 17th season with the Panthers, found himself all the way up at No. 5 . . . As Jansen alludes to, the game has previously listed him as a tight end—and a pretty bad one, at that. He was given a dreadful overall rating of 36 in both Madden NFL 24 and Madden NFL 25. But this year, EA Sports has decided to properly identify Jansen and his fellow long snappers in creating a more realistic simulation. Oh, and Jansen wasn't the only Panther to receive a top-ten rating at his position. He's joined by Derrick Brown, whose 95 mark is good enough for the third overall spot amongst all defensive linemen. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.

File Photo by John Sommers II/UPI | License Photo July 28 (UPI) -- Ja'Marr Chase, Lamar Jackson and two Philadelphia Eagles stars are among seven NFL players in the Madden NFL 26 99 club, EA Sports announced Monday. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett and Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen join that foursome as the highest-rated players in the game. Madden NFL 26 will launch Aug. 14. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and right tackle Lane Johnson represent the third set of teammates honored in the last three editions of the 99 club. Last month, EA Sports also named Barkley as the cover star of Madden NFL 26. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, San Francisco 49ers teammates Christian McCaffrey and Trent Williams and Kansas City Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were in the 99 club for Madden NFL 25. Jefferson, former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin joined Mahomes and Kelce in the 99 club in Madden NFL 24. Rookie ratings for Madden NFL 26 are expected to be revealed Tuesday. EA Sports plans to roll out additional player ratings Wednesday and Thursday for top offensive and defensive players.

Josh Allen alone on top 50 NFLPA list from Buffalo Bills but still trails big names in fan product sales
Josh Allen alone on top 50 NFLPA list from Buffalo Bills but still trails big names in fan product sales (Image via Getty) In recent years, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been one of the most talked-about players in the NFL in some capacity. Whether it's amazing performances on the field, being the cover of Madden NFL 24, or winning 2024 NFL MVP, Josh Allen has kept himself at the forefront of fans' conversation. Most recently, Josh Allen again generated buzz in the media in May 2025 when he married his fiancé, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld in a private wedding in California. After all that talk, many have more recently begun to look into where Josh Allen stands in the NFL merchandise sales. He has a rapidly expanding fan base, but is he at the top? Josh Allen ranked sixth in NFL merchandise sales, behind five household names Released by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) this week was its Top 50 Player Sales List, which recorded Josh Allen sixth among all NFL players in merchandise sales from March 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025. Among the league-licensed items available are t-shirts, caps, trading cards, drinkware, backpacks, and even pet gear. The players listed ahead of Josh Allen were: 1. Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles) 2. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) 3. Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles) 4. Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders) 5. C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans) Josh Allen, 28, is the only Buffalo Bills player on the top 50 for this year. Stefon Diggs was on the list last year but moved to the Houston Texans after Josh Allen. The NFLPA reported that Josh Allen continues to have strong fan support despite being in a smaller market. Patrick Mahomes and Saquon Barkley are both top 50 again When the NFLPA released the top 50 list in June 2025, many fans probably were not shocked to see Patrick Mahomes and Saquon Barkley on top again. Patrick Mahomes is still one of the most recognized faces in all of football while Saquon Barkley just elevated his personal brand (and popularity) with a recent deal to the Philadelphia Eagles. 'Josh Allen has become a household name,' said NFLPA representative Sarah Franklin. 'He's not just winning games. He's winning hearts across the country.'If you want to see the full NFLPA Top 50 list, you can check it out on their website, released on June 11, 2025. Where Bills' Josh Allen ranks in NFL merchandise sales
Where Bills' Josh Allen ranks in NFL merchandise sales Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has ascended into superstardom over the past few years, as he's been one of the most talented players in the NFL since 2020. His talents have landed him in the spotlight. He was on the cover of Madden NFL 24, he won the 2024 NFL MVP award, and most recently he made headlines as he married actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld. It's been a long time since the Bills had a player as popular as Allen. His popularity among NFL fans has him once again among the league's top players in merchandise sales. According to the NFLPA Top 50 Player Sales List, which is the only verified ranking of all officially licensed, NFL player-branded merchandise, Allen ranked sixth in the NFL in sales from March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025. The sales include trading cards, men's, women's and youth game jerseys, T-shirts and hoodies, backpacks, wall decals, pennants, collectible figurines, matted and framed photos, bobbleheads, plush, drinkware, pet products, and many more, according to the NFLPA. The only players to rank ahead of Allen in that time frame are Saquon Barkley, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Jayden Daniels, and C.J. Stroud. After Allen, Aidan Hutchinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Micah Parsons, and Justin Jefferson rounded out the top ten. In last year's NFLPA ranking of player merchandise sales, the Bills had two players in the top 50: Allen and former Buffalo Bill Stefon Diggs. This year, Allen sits as the lone Bill on the list.
