In recent years, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been one of the most talked-about players in the NFL in some capacity. Whether it's amazing performances on the field, being the cover of Madden NFL 24, or winning 2024 NFL MVP, Josh Allen has kept himself at the forefront of fans' conversation.
Most recently, Josh Allen again generated buzz in the media in May 2025 when he married his fiancé, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld in a private wedding in California. After all that talk, many have more recently begun to look into where Josh Allen stands in the NFL merchandise sales. He has a rapidly expanding fan base, but is he at the top?
Josh Allen ranked sixth in NFL merchandise sales, behind five household names
Released by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) this week was its Top 50 Player Sales List, which recorded Josh Allen sixth among all NFL players in merchandise sales from March 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
Among the league-licensed items available are t-shirts, caps, trading cards, drinkware, backpacks, and even pet gear.
The players listed ahead of Josh Allen were:
1. Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles)
2. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)
3. Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)
4. Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders)
5. C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans)
Josh Allen, 28, is the only Buffalo Bills player on the top 50 for this year.
Stefon Diggs was on the list last year but moved to the Houston Texans after Josh Allen. The NFLPA reported that Josh Allen continues to have strong fan support despite being in a smaller market.
Patrick Mahomes and Saquon Barkley are both top 50 again
When the NFLPA released the top 50 list in June 2025, many fans probably were not shocked to see Patrick Mahomes and Saquon Barkley on top again.
Patrick Mahomes is still one of the most recognized faces in all of football while Saquon Barkley just elevated his personal brand (and popularity) with a recent deal to the Philadelphia Eagles.
'Josh Allen has become a household name,' said NFLPA representative Sarah Franklin. 'He's not just winning games. He's winning hearts across the country.'If you want to see the full NFLPA Top 50 list, you can check it out on their website, released on June 11, 2025.

Tennessee Titans delete viral Father's Day post after fans blast awkward wording

Mandatory Credit: Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports / Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports The Tennessee Titans tried to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday and ended up deleting the whole thing before noon. The post, which was meant to be inclusive and heartfelt, instead confused and irritated fans across the NFL. Fans weren't sure if it was a typo, a joke, or a serious message In what seemed to be an attempt at inclusivity or maybe just a social media team trying to do too much, the franchise accidentally alienated just about everyone. The result? Mass confusion, eye-rolls, and the post getting nuked off their timeline faster than a missed PAT. The message read: — _MLFootball (@_MLFootball) 'Happy Father's Day to all the Titans moms and fatherly figures.' The reactions were immediate. Fans couldn't tell whether the Titans were trying to acknowledge single moms, celebrate 'non-traditional' parental roles, or just completely misunderstood the assignment. Almost immediately, the replies were filled with 'Wait, what??' energy. Social media reactions ranged from confused to straight-up angry. 'Wtf does that even mean?' Some questioned if the team meant to say "parents" instead. Others accused the Titans of trying too hard to be inclusive without thinking it through. One user joked, 'Just say Happy Father's Day, it's not that hard.' It didn't take long before the Titans quietly hit delete on the post, probably hoping people wouldn't notice. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like She Found THIS Chat on Her Husband's Phone and Vanished Overnight medalmerit Learn More Undo But, well, it had already gone viral. Comments poured in blaming the Titans' PR team, calling the message 'unnecessary,' 'confusing,' or 'just weird.' One user wrote: 'You can tell the franchise is ran by a woman.' Another said: 'How hard is it to just say 'Happy Father's Day'? GD.' And others pointed out the inconsistency, asking whether mothers got similar treatment on their day. Although the Titans tried to erase the moment by deleting the post, screenshots and quote tweets are still spreading. It's become yet another lesson in how one awkward social media message can spark a backlash in under five minutes flat. At the end of the day, the Titans likely had good intentions but their delivery made things worse. In trying to be inclusive, they ended up sounding tone-deaf, and NFL fans aren't exactly known for letting that slide. Moral of the story? Just say 'Happy Father's Day.' No remix needed. He's showing that he belongs. Though many thought he would be taken early in the NFL Draft, things didn't go his way. After finishing a strong college run at Colorado, he ended up being picked much later than expected. Shedeur, meanwhile, persisted nonetheless. People are now paying attention in training camp to his tosses, decision-making style, and level of confidence displayed. Many believe he could be a guy who will quickly climb the ranks, even though he still has much to do. Shedeur Sanders is showing big-time talent, but hasn't worked with first team yet In early June 2025, at the Cleveland Browns' mandatory minicamp held in Cleveland, Ohio, Shedeur put on quite a show. According to ESPN, he threw nine touchdown passes and only one pick during OTAs. These were 7-on-7 drills with no full defence, but they gave a clear look at his strong arm and fast thinking. Shedeur left for the University of Colorado after an amazing 2023 to keep playing collegiate football. With just 10 interceptions, he threw for 37 touchdown passes and 4,134 yards total. But he slipped to the fifth round. Now, he's in a tough competition with veterans like Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Reports say Shedeur is the only one among them who hasn't yet practiced with the Browns' first-team offence at camp. James Jones believes Shedeur Sanders should be the Browns' lead quarterback On June 13, 2025, former NFL wide receiver James Jones, who played with the Green Bay Packers, publicly blasted the NFL on NFL Network. He did not mince words. Jones said that Shedeur should be the Browns' starter when the season begins. 'It's been a long time since the Browns had a reliable quarterback,' Jones said. 'To me, Shedeur is the best talent they've got. You've got to play him in Week 1.' The Cleveland Browns have struggled to find a steady quarterback since Baker Mayfield. Their current starter, Deshaun Watson, hasn't lived up to what was expected. That's why fans and coaches are watching Shedeur closely. Many now hope he could be the fresh start they've been waiting for. Also Read: 'It's Such A Meritocracy': Tom Brady Throws Shade At NFL Draft System While Defending Shedeur Sanders

Why Aaron Rodgers' iconic helmet Schutt Air XP Q11 was banned

Aaron Rodgers must adapt to the Pittsburgh Steelers team and playbook, as well as to a new helmet. Ever since his arrival in the NFL in 2005, Rodgers has preferred to wear a Schutt helmet. Most recently, he wore the Schutt Air XP Q11 model when he played for the New York Jets last season. But the helmet is banned now, and he will have to look for a new one to take the field for the Steelers when September rolls around. But the big question is, why was the helmet model banned in the first place? The Schutt Air XP Q11 was already marked as "not recommended" for NFL players in 2024, but Aaron Rodgers still chose to wear it for the season. Since then, the league's safety committee has completely disqualified it. According to NFL Chief Football Administrative Officer Dawn Aponte, the move is part of a broader initiative to enhance player protection and reduce head injuries that are common but dangerous in the sport. 'As helmet technology continues to improve, widespread adoption among players continues to make a difference. Equipment staff at the club level serve a critical role in helping players understand the current offerings and work with them to select an option that levels up protection and offers a great fit,' Aponte said on the matter. As recently as 2022, the Schutt Air XP Q11 helmet was one of the top-performing head protection equipment. This just goes to show how rapidly the safety standards change in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers is certainly not happy with the NFL banning his preferred helmet, and he has not kept it a secret. He spoke on the matter in his first press conference as a Pittsburgh Steelers player. 'I can't stand the helmet. I've worn a Schutt for 20 years and somehow it finally didn't pass the safety standards,' he told reporters. While a change in helmets might be a minor inconvenience for most young players, it is not for Rodgers. He is already 41, and at this point in his career, familiarity and comfort play a big part. But he will have to deal with an unfamiliar environment both on the team and now on the equipment front.
