In a video captured by a home security camera, the victim is caught being shot in the chest and arm. In a state of shock the youngster is captured running to his mum's aid as his dad grabs the lethal weapon from the floor. The 27-year-old woman has been named locally as Deborah Rodrigues Monteiro and has been pictured in Brazilian media. Police have launched an urgent investigation into the incident and have confirmed the husband, a farmer who had a licence for the weapon, will face manslaughter charges. It has not yet been established whether the young boy will remain under the care of his dad or if he will be taken into social services. Local police chief Danielle Felismino confirmed the gunshot victim had been taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. The weapon she was killed with and ammunition has been seized by detectives. The autopsy is understood to have taken place yesterday morning although the results have not yet been made public. Desperate to help his drowning relative, the adult cousin tries dipping his feet in the water, in an attempt to get himself into the water too.
