Colorado Bureau of Investigation issues Medina Alert in hit-and-run with serious injuries
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued a Medina Alert in connection with a hit-and-run that left the victim with serious injuries. According to investigators, the crash happened on July 23 just before 11 p.m. at East Colfax Avenue and Emerson Street in Denver. Investigators said the driver of a dark blue 2006 GMC Yukon was involved in a hit-and-run accident where the victim was seriously injured. They are looking for that vehicle with Nevada license plate 1888B0 with faded paint on the hood. Investigators said there also may be damage to the front driver's side of the car. Investigators said that last number on the license plate is a zero. Anyone who sees the vehicle or has any information about the crash that occurred is asked to call 911 or the Denver Police Department at 720.913.2000.

Colorado Bureau of Investigation issues Medina Alert in hit-and-run near Ball Arena
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued a Medina Alert for a hit-and-run that left a scooter rider seriously injured on Wednesday night. The crash happened near Ball Arena during game three in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs before the Colorado Avalanche fell to the Dallas Stars 2-1 in overtime. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a Medina Alert for a black 2021 GMC Sierra Pickup, similar to the one pictured, in a hit-and-run near Ball Arena during the Avalanche playoff game. CBI According to investigators, a black 2021 GMC Sierra Pickup struck a pedestrian on a scooter at Speer Boulevard and Wewatta Street in Denver. The driver drove away after the crash. The driver is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 40-50 years of age with a medium build and long brown hair. Investigators said she was wearing dark clothing at the time. She was driving a black 2021 GMC Sierra Pickup with a black topper and Colorado license plate 83LARA. Anyone who knows about the vehicle or driver or witnessed the crash is asked to call 911 or the Denver Police Department at 720.913.2000.

Medina Alert issued in Denver after carjacking victim struck by vehicle, seriously injured
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued a Medina Alert after a carjacking in Denver on Wednesday. Investigators said the victim was struck by the vehicle after the carjacking and suffered serious injuries. The carjacking occurred near the intersection of E. Elmendorf and N. Yampa St. in Denver about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday. CBI said the vehicle was later spotted in the area of 44th Avenue and Brighton Boulevard. Denver police said the owner of the vehicle was hit by the vehicle and suffered serious bodily injuries. The suspect stole the vehicle and left the scene. The vehicle is described as a 2023 dark gray Dodge Challenger Coupe, 2-door with Colorado license plate EPD-U51. The vehicle has designer "Born to be Wild" plates. A Medina Alert is an alert system in Colorado for hit-and-run crashes to make it easier to capture runaway drivers. It went into effect in December 2014. Anyone who witnessed the crime or may know the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Denver Police Department at 720.913.2000.
