Dancing with the Stars winner revealed: Unlikely champion beats fan favourites in shock Grand Finale result
Kyle Shilling has walked away from the Dancing with the Stars Grand Finale with the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. Home and Away actor Kyle was crowned champion alongside his dance partner Lily Cornish on Monday night. Kyle Shilling and Lily Cornish stunned the room with a deeply moving cultural performance to Mo'ju's Native Tongue, with Kyle playing the didgeridoo live. The powerful piece earned a perfect score, with Helen calling it 'one of the best performances' she's ever seen on any series of the show. 'I'm feeling mixed emotions, as it's come to an end,' Kyle said after his win. 'We built such a strong family here and you can see all the beautiful people behind us,' he continued. 'It's amazing to be able to stand here and hold this trophy, knowing all the hard work we put in has paid off.' Kyle was awarded $20,000 for his chosen charity, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation. The fabulous finale began with a dazzling group performance from the professional dancers and the six grand finalists, set to Marcia Hines' 1970s anthem You. First to take the floor was Felicity Ward and Aric Yegudkin, bursting out with a high-energy mix of quickstep and lindy hop. Helen Richey praised Felicity for always giving it her all, calling her a joy to watch. Michael Usher and Natalie Lowe followed with a routine that showcased all the Latin flair he had picked up throughout the series. Mark Wilson told Michael he should be proud of his efforts week after week. Trent Cotchin and Jess Raffa delivered an emotional contemporary routine that Craig Revel Horwood described as strong and layered, with 'a bit of everything'. Brittany Hockley and Craig Monley brought heartfelt emotion to their dance, which was dedicated to Brittany's husband. The routine ended with Brittany signing 'thank you' in Auslan to Craig, who is deaf in his right ear. Sharna Burgess called it 'stunning' and praised Brittany's transformation into a true dancer. Closing the competition with showbiz flair, Shaun Micallef and Ash-Leigh Hunter performed a musical theatre-style show dance that lit up the ballroom. Sharna said the 'entertainment was through the roof' and watching it was 'spectacular'. As the studio audience awaited the final result, they were treated to an unforgettable live performance from Grammy Award winner and The Voice coach Richard Marx, who sang his classic hit Right Here Waiting and his new single Magic Hour. After the audience vote, the final two couples were revealed: Kyle and Lily, and Shaun and Ash-Leigh. Then, in a spectacular finish, hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown announced Kyle and Lily as the 2025 Dancing With The Stars champions.

Shocking Dancing With the Stars salaries leaked as Gold Logie winner Rebecca Gibney tops pay bracket
Salaries for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars Australia have reportedly been leaked with Gold Logie winner Rebecca Gibney securing the biggest payday. The long-running dance juggernaut sees a group of Aussie celebrities battle it out on the dancefloor for the iconic Mirror Ball Trophy. Dancing With The Stars is set to return to Channel 7 next week with 12 popular Australian celebrities set to tackle the foxtrot. This year's cast features a variety of well-known TV presenters, actors, newscasters and sports stars 'competing for a charity of their choice'. Stars also receive a participation fee for their appearance on the show, which was entirely pre-recorded in Sydney earlier this year. According to a production insider who spoke to Woman's Day, the 2025 cast has been split into three different pay brackets to reflect their star power. Industry veterans Rebecca Gibney, ex-Bachelor host Osher Günsberg, and comedian Shaun Micallef are reportedly each earning $100,000 to take to the dance floor. Gibney, who won the prestigious Gold Logie in 2009 at the height of her Packed to the Rafters fame, is arguably the biggest name from this year's contestants. Beneath the top three earners, Olympic swimming legend Susie O'Neill, AFL star Trent Cotchin and 7NEWS presenter Michael Usher are reportedly receiving a clean $47,000. O'Neill, who won gold in both Atlanta and Sydney, was recently elected to the prestigious Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) board. At the bottom end of the scale are Olympic boxer Harry Garside, comedian Felicity Ward, Home and Away star Kyle Shilling and 7NEWS presenter Karina Carvalho. All four have reportedly signed on for the bargain price of just $27,000 in exchange for weeks of intensive dance training, minus management fees and tax. The surprisingly paltry salaries come as free-to-air broadcasters slash talent budgets in order to get more bang for their buck amid declining audience numbers. This year's season of Ten's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here was reportedly the cheapest in the show's history. 'There's just nowhere near as much money in free-to-air television as there used to be,' an I'm A Celeb source told Yahoo! Lifestyle in January. has reached out to Channel 7 for comment.

Liza Koshy, Chad Michael Murray lead our ‘Dancing With the Stars' Season 34 wish list
With Dancing With the Stars set to come back for a 34th season this fall, there's a long list of celebrities who deserve to compete on the dance floor. Three of our past suggestions came true: Frankie Muniz (third place, Season 25), Kel Mitchell (second place, Season 28), and Jamie Lynn Spears (13th place, Season 32). Robert Irwin and Alix Earle have already been confirmed for next season. Below is a list of other celebs we think the show should consider inviting to the ballroom to vie for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with our picks? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know which you'd most like to see on DWTS. And feel free to let us know in the reality TV forum what other stars you'd love to see when the show comes back in September. This model, actress, illustrator, photographer, writer, designer, and activist was previously set to compete on Season 28, but suffered injuries to her wrist and arm that required emergency surgery. So her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, came in at the last minute, and was the third to be eliminated. Christie deserves another shot at the competition. More from GoldDerby 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 10' recap: Mistress Isabelle Brooks brings the 'shenanigans and chaos' to the second bracket opener Marvel Studios executive, 'Black Panther' producer Nate Moore reportedly joins the 'Survivor 49' cast Adam David reflects on winning 'The Voice' and forgetting the lyrics on live television: It 'strengthened' me This actor has a nostalgia factor going for him from his recurring role as Luke Fuller on the ABC series, Dynasty, and starring role as Cliff Secord in Disney's 1991 cult film The Rocketeer. A spot on Dancing With the Stars would bring him back to the Mouse House. This actor is best known for his starring role as Billy Peltzer in the Gremlins films. The property is still relevant given the current HBO Max animated prequel series. With that in mind coupled with his nostalgia factor, he'd be a worthy addition to the competition. Nostalgic stars are often big hits in the ballroom, including Season 19 champ Alfonso Ribeiro, Frankie Muniz, and Kel Mitchell. This actress and former model has proven to be a triple threat from her roles as Holly Laird on the TV series, Fame, and Louise in the 1993 TV movie adaptation of Gypsy starring Bette Midler. Although like Season 11 champ Jennifer Grey, she might be accused of being a ringer due to her background. But despite this, it's time we see another mature female celebrity become a contender for the Mirror Ball Trophy. She's already achieved success as a singer-songwriter from having earned three Latin Grammy nominations. Not only that, but she also got to show off her skills as a triple threat in the 2021 film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical, In the Heights. With that background in mind, she'd make an exciting addition to the competition. Recording artists who've previously contended for the Mirror Ball trophy include Mya (Season 9 runner-up), Nicole Scherzinger (Season 10 champ), Brandy (Season 11), Normani Kordei (Season 24), and Jason Mraz (Season 32 runner-up). This actress is best known for her roles as Lorelai on Gilmore Girls and Sarah on Parenthood. Not only that, but she's also tackled singing and dancing on Broadway as Adelaide in the 2009 revival of Guys & Dolls. With that background, coupled with her nostalgia factor, she would be an exciting addition to the competition. This social media personality has a huge following. Her main YouTube channel alone has almost 17 million subscribers while her two channels have a combined total of more than 3 billion views. TikTok star Charli D'Amelio managed to win Season 31. If any famous YouTuber deserves a shot at the Mirror Ball Trophy, it's Koshy. The professional figure skater is the 2025 Four Continents bronze medalist, 2021 Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medalist, the 2018 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic bronze medalist, the Philadelphia Summer International silver medalist, and the 2021 Cranberry International silver medalist. He's also competed in nine senior U.S. national championships. Figure skaters have won DWTS three times before: Kristi Yamaguchi (Season 6), Meryl Davis (Season 18), and Adam Rippon (Season 26). So maybe Ma should consider trading in his ice skates for dancing shoes. This actor is best known for his roles as Lucas Scott on One Tree Hill and Jake in Disney's 2003 remake of Freaky Friday. He's also set to return for the upcoming sequel, Freakier Friday. As Disney is the parent company of ABC, which airs DWTS, it would make a lot of sense for him to enter the ballroom. Actors from teen drama shows have done well before, with James Van Der Beek coming close to making it to the finals in 2019. Last season, Stephen Nedoroscik, the Clark Kent/Superman of the 2024 Olympic Games, made quite an impression in the ballroom, finishing in fourth place. With the iconic DC superhero about to be relevant again with a new movie coming out this summer, why not have an actor who's previously played the Man of Steel on the big screen (in 2006's Superman Returns) in addition to the Atom in the CW's Arrowverse compete as well? This actor first came on the scene as drummer Guy Patterson in Tom Hanks' 1996 cult film, That Thing You Do!. Since then, he's appeared on several popular TV shows such as ER, Law & Order, Southland, 13 Reasons Why, and currently The Summer I Turned Pretty. Nearly 20 years later, it's about time he trades in those drumsticks for dancing shoes. This actress-singer burst onto the scene in the coveted role of Dorothy in NBC's The Wiz Live! in 2015. Most recently, she appeared as Johnnie Mae in Tyler Perry's Netflix film, The Six Triple Eight. With her musical background in mind, she'd be a natural fit for the ballroom. Alix Earle Says Departure from Alex Cooper's Unwell Network Was a 'Hot Mess' Behind the Scenes
Alix Earle opened up about her Hot Mess podcast's pause during an interview with the Wall Street Journal published on Thursday, May 22 The social media star described the behind-the-scenes as a "hot mess," a nod to the title of the podcast formerly backed by Alex Cooper's Unwell Network Earle's comments come approximately two months after she announced Hot Mess' hiatus for the "foreseeable future" on March 26What's the saying ... Art imitates life? Alix Earle described her now-defunct Hot Mess podcast as just that — a "hot mess" — when attempting to explain to the Wall Street Journal about the production politics that led to the show's hiatus for the foreseeable future. Hot Mess was backed by Alex Cooper's Unwell Network, the media startup that signed Earle, 24, as one of its first stars in 2023. Episodes were released for over a year, but then the relationship between her and the media company began to unravel, leading to the podcast's pause on March 26. At the time, fans speculated a fallout between the two women, however, Cooper, 30, put the rumors to rest to clarify that the Unwell Network is not the reason behind Earle's decision to halt Hot Mess. "Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do Unwell," Cooper wrote on TikTok at the time. "[I don't know] why she can't/what's going on." That being said, Earle admitted to the WSJ that it has been a process to get everything back in her hands. "That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess," Earle said in her digital cover story. Elsewhere in the interview, Earle offered her fans a glimmer of hope about her podcast's return, noting that they have "plans to bring things back" in an elevated way. "It might look a little different, but I'm excited to see what we do with it," she added. In the meantime, Earle has been uploading vlog-style videos to her YouTube channel. She gives her viewers an in-depth look at her life alongside her siblings, parents, friends and NFL boyfriend, Braxton Berrios. She also recently appeared on another SI Swim issue this year, which she celebrated at the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party red carpet on May 15, at The Hard Rock Hotel in New York City. She officially announced the news on Good Morning America on Thursday morning, becoming the second celebrity casting revealed after Robert Irwin. The social media star attended DWTS last November when the show taped its milestone 500th episode. In a GRWM video posted prior, she told her 7.5 million TikTok followers that she was "so excited" to be in the audience because she is "such a fan of the show." Read the original article on People
