Monse Resort 2026 Collection

Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim are gearing up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Monse in September. Their tightly edited resort collection looked back at favorite Monse-isms, both their own and those of their customers. The focus was on 'topsy-turvy staples.' A two-in-one puffer jacket was constructed from separate jackets joined at the waist (the bottom jacket was thinner to eliminate bulk). This same approach was used on colorblocked cardigans, a deconstructed fair isle sweater, a classic businessman striped cotton poplin shirt, and a two-toned denim jacket with a suede collar. The outerwear was certainly one of the collection's strongest elements. A trench-style cropped jacket in chocolate suede or black leather came with a double lapel and could quickly become a staple in anyone's closet; while another trompe l'oeil style, this time a hoodie 'underneath' a blazer but with the hoodie's scrunched arms layered over the jacket's sleeves, was especially successful in a black leather and heathered gray construction. Elsewhere, there were party-ready pieces in the form of slinky sequined gowns and a studded mesh shirt and easy flared pant—all in shades of chocolate-copper, which added an unexpected allure. Studs were also used to embellish knits, including a colorblocked turtleneck which, if you looked closely, turned out to be two turtlenecks in one. 'We didn't have the front of one and the back of the other, so we just married them,' Garcia explained. 'That's usually how the best little experiments come to life. It ended up being one of my favorite pieces.'

Nicole Kidman Says Goodbye to Her Met Gala Bob Haircut in Architectural Monse Look for 2025 ACM Awards With Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman's bob era was short-lived. A few days after her Met Gala appearance, the actress debuted a new long, straight hairstyle at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, while there to support her husband, Keith Urban. Kidman wore an architectural look from Monse's fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. Her outfit featured a sleeveless black leather top with a high neckline and subtle paneling. The armor-like top was paired with black tailored trousers, layered with an asymmetric, draped skirt overlay. Classic black pumps completed the outfit. At Monday's event, the actress wore a re-creation of a 1950s couture gown by Cristóbal Balenciaga, created by Balenciaga's current creative director, Demna. At the event, Kidman also sported a blond slicked-back bob created by hairstylist Adir Abergel. 'The inspiration was a tailored short cut that brought out the essence of dandyism on Nicole Kidman. I wanted to celebrate this year's theme by honoring the dandies and their individuality, elegance and confidence — where every detail is tailored to that unique person,' Abergel wrote on Instagram. At the 2025 ACM Awards, Urban coordinated with his wife in a velvety, black suit. The country singer received the honorary ACM Triple Crown Award. 'My wife, Nicole Mary, is here tonight. I love you, babygirl. And our girls Sunday and Faith watching at home tonight, I love you both, too,' Urban said during his acceptance speech, nodding to Kidman's recent movie, 'Babygirl.' The Australian actress, 57, rocked some very long locks at the annual event, just days after she made headlines for her new pixie cut at the 2025 Met Gala on Tuesday. Speculation has run rampant all week about whether the Hollywood star's debut look at the fashion event was a wig. Daily Mail Australia's own insider hair expert suggested the edgy short do was in fact done by 'hair magic' using a mix of her real locks and hair extensions. But it seems Nicole is intent on keeping everyone guessing as she made a a very chic arrival to the country music event sporting long blonde tresses once more. Princess Diana's go-to rugby shirts are having a fashion moment – here's how to wear one

You don't need to be sporty to appreciate the appeal of the latest chic staple enjoying a moment in the fashion spotlight: the rugby shirt. Collared and most often striped, the style looks as fresh now as it did when varsity style pin-up Diana, Princess of Wales was photographed wearing one featuring baby blue and pink stripes outside London's Chelsea Harbour Health Club in May 1997. Diana's pastel-toned knitted rugby shirt, paired with white capri-length trousers and duck-egg blue loafers, lent a note of preppy femininity to this masculine-leaning trend. But as well as archival inspiration, there are plenty of recent catwalk examples to turn to, with rugby shirts cropping up everywhere from New York City-based Monse to Chanel. The style was a repeat feature in the spring/summer 2025 relaunch collection of heritage brand Kent & Curwen, which earned its stripes creating collegiate gear – from Cambridge ties to Eton rugby kit – in the 1920s. A century on, it has reinvented the rugby shirt with boldly clashing stripes including salmon pink and baby blue or emerald green and aqua – though it also keeps things classic with a navy and white option. A similarly adventurous spirit has taken hold at offbeat Belgian brand Essentiel Antwerp, where appliqué patches, beading and rhinestones add flair to sport-inspired pieces. 'Combining a bold masculine print and fit with contrasting delicate feminine embroidery feels both playful and unexpected,' says Tom Depoortere, the brand's head designer and artistic director. 'As for styling, throwing an oversized blazer over a rugby shirt always works, or you could wear it with denim and a heel.' The same styling tricks will work for the pieces infiltrating the high street. The majority of these stick to more muted, neutral stripes, and should slot easily into your usual outfit rotations. While trusty traditional cotton is dominating at the likes of M&S, Arket and Uniqlo, there are other materials worth considering – see Cos's elegant silk blend in navy and white stripes. Then there are the knitted incarnations, including an ecru and chocolate piece at Hush. The relaxed open collar is prime weekend wear, but it could also be dressed up with a silky midi skirt. Or you could pair it with your favourite cropped trousers and spring-ready loafers for maximum Diana chic. The best rugby shirts to shop now Under £100 Under £200 Over £200
