Pedro Pascal On Using His Fame To Take A Stand On Big Issues: 'I'll Never Shut Up'

Last Updated: Pascal has now insisted he will 'never shut up' about issues he feels need to be addressed. Pedro Pascal wants to use his fame to highlight big global issues. The 50-year-old actor has previously been seen championing causes such as the Free Gaza Movement by wearing Protect The Dolls T-shirts in public and posting about food blockages into Gaza on social media, and Pascal has now insisted he will 'never shut up" about issues he feels need to be addressed. Speaking with Sky News about the worries of having his statements being taken out of context, he said: 'I think it's very easy to get scared, no matter what you sort of talk about. There are so many different ways that things can get kind of fractured and have a life of itself really." He added: 'It's sort of a business part of the way media can work, really. There's one thing that you can say, and no matter what your intention behind it, it is absolutely lost in all of these different headlines, I suppose, but I'll never shut up." Pascal can next be seen in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where he stars as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. The movie – which also stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing – follows the titular family as they gain extraordinary powers after a cosmic accident during their exploration of outer space. As they grapple with their new identities, the Fantastic Four must unite to stop the rising threat of Galactus (Ralph Ineson), who is hell-bent on destroying the Earth. Since becoming a Hollywood A-lister, Pascal has had to find new ways to manage his anxiety, and has revealed that speaking with other people helps his mental health – something he discovered during the Covid-19 pandemic. He told Men's Health: 'I notice, especially during this period of the summer of 2020, and the kind of isolation and how long my FaceTimes were, and my phone conversations, that I had started to make an effort to engage more, having previously lost that option in many ways. I can think back on high school and college, and I was always such a talker with friends. Conversations on the phone, and then I don't know how many days had gone by where we stopped doing that." 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps': What to expect and why the end credits scene matters

It's clobberin' time for " The Fantastic Four: First Steps." The highly anticipated film is director Matt Shakman's take on the group of four superheroes: Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ben Grimm/The Thing and Johnny Storm/Human Torch. At the world premiere of the film in Los Angeles earlier this week, Shakman shared that he's most excited for fans to see the film's focus on family. "This is Marvel's first family," he said. "One of the reasons why they've been so popular for 60+ years is because they're a real family. They have the messiness, the love, the heart that we recognize that makes them very relatable. We all know what it's like to be a part of a family so that's what I think is most special about them as characters and what I'm excited for audiences to see." As the film hits theaters today, we've broken down everything you need to know and are sharing what filmmakers and cast members have said. What is 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' about? According to a synopsis for the film, "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" follows the iconic group of superheroes "as they face their most daunting challenge yet." "Forced to balance their roles as superheroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer," the synopsis adds. Who stars in 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'? The upcoming film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch. Executive producer Kevin Feige lauded the chemistry between Pascal, Kirby, Moss-Bachrach and Quinn and said that they weren't just a family on screen but off screen. "They are a family," he said. "Marvel is about families, about found families, and the first time the four of them sat together to start doing a read-through of the script, the camaraderie was amazing." Also starring in the film are Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. The cast includes Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, Sarah Niles and Mark Gatiss. What has the cast said about the film? At the film's world premiere, Pascal said he wants fans to "experience all the love that was put into the movie." Kirby added that she's "excited" for fans to see the Fantastic Four family become a family of five. "I'm excited for fans to see how that happens because even though they're superheroes and even though they have this huge threat from out of space in the cosmos, ultimately, they're still a family, expecting a baby and I hope everybody can relate to the domesticity of that and the everydayness of who they are and I'm really hopeful about that." Where is the film set? In this "Fantastic Four" universe, the superheroes reside in a different universe called 828. "It's a retro-futuristic 1960s," Shakman said. "The only superheroes in our world are the Fantastic Four. So no interconnection, no other Marvel heroes appearing, no other Easter eggs. That's it, just the Fantastic Four." He added that their universe is a "complicated world," which includes robots, flying cars and more. "It was about building this incredibly intimate family that felt real but also setting them in this big world with lots of stakes and high drama," Shakman said. What do we know about the post-end credits scene? While filmmakers of the movie couldn't give too much away, Feige shared why fans should make it a point to stick around for the post end credits scene. "I used to really make it a point to try and convince people to stick around through the credits," Feige began. "I think most people do, they know it's a Marvel movie, they know they will be rewarded for staying in their seats after the film's over." When does 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' hit theaters? The film is in theaters now. See the trailer below.

Is there a post-credit scene in Fantastic Four: First Steps?

Marvel is back in theaters this week as The Fantastic 4: First Steps joins the MCU for the first time. Led by Mr. Fantastic Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), the movie is set in the 60s as the super-powered crew battles nemeses like the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) and Galactus (Ralph Ineson). The movie is already "certified fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with an 89% from critics, joining the recent run of superhero successes like Marvel's Thunderbolts* (88%) and the new James Gunn DCU Superman (84%). After a run of underwhelming comic book movie performances, audiences and critics are seemingly responding to this new-and-improved output from both studios. For those wondering whether or not they need to stick around after the action rolls in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the answer is a resounding yes. FYI! NO SPOILERS AHEAD! There are two post-credit scenes, with one in the mid-credits and one at the end. Much like the Fantastic Four-centered post-credit scene in Thunderbolts*, one of the bonus scenes in this movie was filmed by Joe and Anthony Russo. This makes sense as the brotherly director duo is at the helm for Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release in December of 2026. The Fantastic 4: First Steps hits theaters nationwide on Friday.

Big News Is Broken Over Dinner in New 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Clip

Summary Marvel Studiosdebuted a brand new clip from the highly-anticipatedThe Fantastic Four: First Steps. The one-and-a-half-minute clip offers a closer look at the First Family's dynamic as they prepare for their weekly Sunday dinner. Like a good older brother figure, Ben/The Thing tells off Johnny for eating cereals right before dinner, reminding him that it'll ruin his appetite. H.E.R.B.I.E, their robot companion, rings the bell to signify that dinner is ready, but Sue and Reed arrive just a few seconds late. The couple are erratic as they sit with the rest of the family, prompting Johnny to question their behavior. Ben stares quietly with an inquisitive look on his face as Johnny interrogates them, before finally asking, 'Are you pregnant?' Sue and Reed admit that they indeed are, and they celebrate the new addition to their family. Johnny is ecstatic and praises his sister's ability to be a great mom, tells Reed that he's out of his 'depth,' and calls him and Ben as 'the best uncles ever.' The upcoming film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
