#SHOWBIZ: Nadeera Zaini: A Sitizoner at heart since age three
KUALA LUMPUR: Like many Malaysians, singer Nadeera Zaini is a devoted admirer of the National Songstress, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin. "I admit that I am a Sitizoner. I have been a fan of hers for a long time. When I was three years old, I was told that the first song I ever sang was her track, 'Cindai'. Every time I heard 'Cindai', I would start dancing," she recalled. The 32-year-old singer shared this revelation with 350 spectators who attended her recent showcase, 'An Evening With Nadeera', held in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. At the showcase, the Johor-born singer also performed Siti's song, 'Tanpa Dendam Di Hati'. "I chose 'Tanpa Dendam Di Hati' because I truly appreciate the lyrics, which remind me not to hold any grudges against those who may have wronged me or hurt my feelings," she said.

It's not me: Nadeera Zaini addresses past scandal accusations
19 Feb - Nadeera Zaini recently stated that she has no interest to know about the previous rumours accusing her to be the celebrity that was arrested for suspicion of engaging in immoral activities with a member of the opposite sex. The singer, who won second place and went viral for her performance for "Bukan Lagi Kita" at the recently concluded Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL), said that she doesn't want to make any comments about the issue as it has nothing to do with her. "I don't have that many friends, so I don't really care about other people's business. The most important thing is that it is not me," she said. Nadeera, who was previously accused of being the said celebrity who was arrested, stated that the people who pointed fingers at her should immediately repent, especially now that the holy month of Ramadan is near. "I had been focusing on what I wanted to do on AJL 39 throughout this period. I didn't even look at social media. The first time I was told about it, I just ignored it. I don't even know why I was dragged into this," she said. Nadeera is not the singer arrested for suspicion of immoral activity
13 Feb - The Selangor Islamic Department (JAIS) has denied rumours about Nadeera Zaini being the celebrity that was recently arrested for suspicion of engaging in immoral activities with a member of the opposite sex. In a statement to the media, a JAIS rep confirmed the arrest that was reported earlier, but said that the person in question was not the "Bukan Lagi Kita" singer. The rep, however, declined to share any more details about the arrest. It was on 12 February that it was revealed that a singer and former reality show contestant had been arrested alongside her boyfriend who is revealed to be a married man. Nadeera's manager Acap had since dismissed the rumour, saying that the singer had been busy rehearsing for the upcoming "Anugerah Juara Lagu", which will be held on 16 February.
