Special Disability Certificate Camps Scheduled Throughout June at Gadwal District Hospital
Gadwal: The District Rural Development Officer, Mr. Narsinga Rao, has announced that special medical camps are being organized throughout the month of June at the District Government Hospital to issue new disability certificates and renewals for eligible persons with disabilities. These camps will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the month of June. Eligible individuals must pre-book their slots through MeeSeva centers before attending the camp. Those with confirmed bookings are instructed to appear on the scheduled date with all relevant medical reports, newly taken X-rays, and their UDID (Unique Disability ID). Failure to produce the required documents will lead to disqualification. Mr. Narsinga Rao further informed that the disability certificates will be issued on the same day to those who attend with complete documentation. The schedule for the camps is as follows: Tuesdays (June 3, 10, 17, 24): For individuals with visual impairments Wednesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25): For those with physical disabilities Thursdays (June 5, 12, 19, 26): For individuals with both physical and mental disabilities Fridays (June 6, 13, 20, 27): For individuals with hearing and speech impairments The initiative aims to streamline the certification process and ensure timely support for differently-abled individuals in the district.

Gadwal Officials Mobilize Precautionary Measures to Curb Seasonal Diseases Ahead of Monsoon
Gadwal: In view of the rising threat of seasonal diseases due to early monsoon rains, Jogulamba Gadwal District Additional Collector Narsinga Rao has instructed health and municipal officials to initiate proactive preventive measures. Participating in a seasonal disease awareness program organized by the Medical and Health Department at the IDOC Conference Hall on Friday, Additional Collector Narsinga Rao emphasized the need for increased vigilance. Speaking on the occasion, he said that early rains this year could lead to the spread of seasonal diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya, and filariasis. He urged officials to implement all necessary measures to prevent the outbreak and spread of these illnesses. The Additional Collector stressed the importance of maintaining hygiene in every village and municipal ward, ensuring that rainwater does not stagnate. In view of the reopening of schools on June 12, he directed that sanitation drives be undertaken at schools, hostels, and Anganwadi centers. He also instructed that 'Dry Day' activities be conducted every Friday, including cleaning of drinking water tanks with bleaching powder. Special focus should be placed on sanitation efforts, such as clearing garbage heaps and cleaning drains regularly, he added. The meeting was attended by District Medical and Health Officer Siddappa, DPO Nagendram, Mission Bhagiratha Intra EE Sridhar Reddy, DBO Sunanda, Fisheries Department Officer Shakeel Bhanu, municipal commissioners, concerned medical officials, and other staff.

Collector Santosh Urges Swift Paddy Transport and Protection Measures Amid Rain Forecast in Gadwal
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has directed officials to ensure that procured paddy is immediately transported to rice mills and adequately protected with tarpaulins to prevent damage from potential rainfall. On Thursday, the District Collector, along with Additional Collector Narsinga Rao, inspected the paddy procurement centers being run under the supervision of the IKP at Chenugonipalli and Guntipalli villages in Gadwal Mandal. During the inspection, the Collector reviewed key aspects of the procurement process including moisture levels in the grain, lorry loading operations, and data entry in the OPMS (Online Procurement Management System). Noting the possibility of unseasonal rains, he instructed officials to expedite the procurement process to avoid grain spoilage. He emphasized that once the moisture content in the paddy reaches 17%, it should be promptly bagged, loaded onto lorries, and sent to the mills without delay. Until transportation is arranged, the bags must be securely covered with tarpaulins to protect them from rain. The Collector also stressed the importance of accurate and timely data entry in OPMS and maintaining proper records. He instructed officials to ensure there is no shortage of gunny bags or lorries at the procurement centers. Adequate labor should be arranged to avoid delays in transportation, and enough tarpaulins should be kept ready to handle any unexpected rainfall. He further directed that once the truck is loaded, data entry should be done in OPMS without delay, and farmers should receive their payments immediately to avoid inconvenience. During the visit, the Collector interacted with farmers and inquired about the facilities being provided at the centers. Farmers shared their feedback and experiences directly with the Collector. Also present at the event were District Civil Supplies Manager Vimala, Additional DRDO Narsimhulu, Mandal Agriculture Officers, APMs, farmers, and other officials.
