What Celtic transfer target Jakob Breum has said about move
The 21-year-old appears to be at the top of the Hoops' list with regards to recruiting a new winger. Nicolas Kuhn was sold to Como for a fee in excess of £17m earlier this summer, while Jota remains sidelined until the end of the year, meaning it's an area of the pitch that needs addressed by Brendan Rodgers. The Scottish Premiership champions have already seen their offers of around £3m rejected by Go Ahead Eagles, with the Dutch outfit seeking closer to £6.5m. Speaking ahead of the summer window, the winger admitted he's open to furthering his career sooner rather than later. He recently told TV 2: "Of course I have ambitions to try myself at a higher level, but when that is, time will tell. "I'm not just going to play a few good months and then take the next step. I can still develop even more here, so I'm not in a hurry to get away. Read more: "I'm very open to the next step. It all depends on what offers come in. "It's not like I have certain leagues that I just have to go to. "But of course I'm aiming for as high a level as possible because it's the dream to play against the very best."

Jakob Breum has given Celtic his transfer answer amid shifting £6.5m standoff
Go Ahead Eagles are sticking to their big money price tag for the 21-year-old winger Celtic have seen Go Ahead Eagles dig in over their valuation of Jakob Breum - but the winger has already opened the door to a move. The Hoops are in need of reinforcements on the flanks after Nicolas Kuhn joined Como in a £17.2million deal - while Jota is sidelined until next year. Antwerp's Belgian winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha is on their radar while the door is open for Celtic to revive their interest in Sondre Orjasaeter this summer - but 21-year-old Breum appears to be at the top of the list. Three bids have already been turned down for the Danish winger so far this summer from the Scottish Premiership champions - with the highest offer reaching £3m. The Eredivisie side are sticking to their £6.5m price tag for the player with the likes of PSV Eindhoven also considering a move. But speaking ahead of the summer transfer window, the Denmark U21 cap stated he was "very open" to testing himself at the next level. He told TV 2: "Of course I have ambitions to try myself at a higher level, but when that is, time will tell. "I'm not just going to play a few good months and then take the next step. I can still develop even more here, so I'm not in a hurry to get away. "I'm very open to the next step. It all depends on what offers come in. "It's not like I have certain leagues that I just have to go to. But of course I'm aiming for as high a level as possible because it's the dream to play against the very best." The firm stance by the Eagles over a sale also marks a shift in the club's position from last season - when sporting director Paul Bosvelt opened the door to a departure. He told Tipsbladet: "He is a class player. This kid is going to reach the top in Holland and the international sub-top. "He can play football, he is fast and he can beat a player. These are the ingredients that modern football requires. "I would think that there is a very good chance that we will sell him in the summer transfer window." Nicolas Kuhn breaks Celtic transfer exit silence as winger reveals reason behind sudden departure
The former Hoops winger was gone in a flash when Como made their £17m move but the wide man wants to set the record straight Nicolas Kuhn arrived at Celtic with a reputation for being a speed merchant but when the call came some fans felt he couldn't leave the club quick enough. The wide man's £17m move to Como was completed as quick as a flash and it meant there wasn't any time for any long goodbyes at Parkhead. But Kuhn insists the rapid departure after a short spell in Scotland didn't mean it wasn't a tough call to leave. The 24-year-old could have raced away from the Scottish press in Como on Wednesday night after he'd made his first start for his new club in the friendly win against Al Ahli. Instead he wanted to grab the chance to address the fans who hailed him for a season-and-a-half – and promise to run back some day to support his old team from the stands. Kuhn said: 'I loved my time at Celtic. It's an unbelievable club. It was difficult to leave, of course. I wasn't there that long – it was 18 months. But everything happened quite fast and I enjoyed it. 'I loved my time there and think we had some really special moments. I think it turned out pretty well. That was the plan, to stay for probably two years, perform well and help the team and the club. 'I will be forever grateful for what Celtic did for me. I loved my time time. I am happy to see them again. It was a special time and hopefully in the future I will go back and be there in the stadium as a fan. 'It will always be special for me to go back to Glasgow one day. I will see the team again this week and I will be happy to see all the guys.' Kuhn has always been a man in a hurry. He's also never been afraid to sprint towards the next challenge having jumped from RB Leipzig to Ajax and then Bayern Munich as a kid, then Rapid Vienna and then Celtic in jig time in the senior ranks. The Como move was something that interested him from the off. The Italians had been tracking the German for much longer than just this summer. There was some interest in the attacker when he was still in Austria and boss Cesc Fabregas has revealed he's been a long-time admirer. It took until a few weeks ago to make their move but when the figures added up for both the player and Celtic, the deal was sealed at his usual breakneck pace. Kuhn admitted it was hard to go but the ambitious Serie A side – who are based in one of the most stunning cities in Europe – was a big draw. He said: 'It all happened quite fast but I will be happy to see all the lads. At Como, it's quite a good project. 'They have a lot of power and it's also a really good league. It's also a little bit closer to my home so it's quite good. 'That's what Celtic have done in the last few years. They have done it a lot of times so everything was perfect.' Kuhn would say the same about his Celtic spell. There was a lot of talk about his slow start at Celts and then his final few months where he didn't quite hit the sublime heights he hit during an incredible first six months of last season. It wasn't like the attacker's form went off a cliff. He still contributed to get Celtic over the line in the Premiership and perhaps it was always going to be tricky to keep producing the same incredible performances every single week for an entire campaign. Either way, that finish half of the campaign, right up until his sensational Champions League display against Bayern Munich in the Allianz ArenA will live long in the memory for fans as well as the player. As will the work done by manager Brendan Rodgers. There is no bad blood between the pair despite the parting of the ways. In fact, Kuhn revealed he was given the blessing of his boss when they sat down for an impromptu exit interview. Kuhn said: 'He is an amazing guy. We had some great times and good talks. 'Before I left, I went to see him in his office. I thanked him for everything he did for me. Now it's a new chapter.' Kuhn is convinced Rodgers and Celtic gave his career a turbo boost. He'll forever be grateful – and won't forget the good times after scooping four medals in 18 successful months. He said: 'The competition there was great. We achieved some great things together, like the Champions League last season was really good. 'I will always remember the atmosphere in those games. Even in the game we lost at home, against Bayern – and our comeback in the Allianz ArenA, that was really special.'
