The scoring hero for the US was Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson, who scored unassisted in the first, added to the lead in the second on a setup by Utah's Clayton Keller, and scored the game-winner on the power play 4:09 into overtime with assists from a pair of Mammoths in Keller and Logan Cooley.
