J-Hope teases BTS reunion

J-Hope has teased BTS will reunite as soon as their military service is over. The 'Chicken Noodle Soup' hitmaker completed his mandatory 18-month stint of miliary service last October and he's now looking forward to his bandmates all finishing their own service so he can get back together with V, Jimin, RM, Jungkook, Suga, and Jin. J-Hope, who is the second member of the band to have finished his service after Jin, told Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe: 'We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it's going to be a massive energy... 'I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service." All seven members of the group have released solo projects during the band's two-year hiatus and J-Hope thinks it has helped them all establish their own identieis. He said: 'I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as each of us work on their own music, come out with their solo projects and do their own thing. "The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS. 'I'm curious to see how [the reunion] will look like.' The 'On the Street' singer felt proud of his time in the military and learned a lot from it. He said: 'I think it's only natural for young people in South Korea to take on this responsibility. I thought it was a very important part of J-Hope's, or Jung Ho Seok's, life. "It's a different experience, also, in reality, I've learned a different life. And in many ways, I got to meet people from all walks of life and I received a lot of good energy. And I heard a lot of good things. "But also, you know, a year and a half is actually not a very short time. That bit made me feel a lot of things. In the end, I think the most important thing was I realised how important the work I've been doing for all these years is incredibly meaningful to me.'

J-Hope Proves His Power As A Rapper

J-Hope's 'Sweet Dreams' debuts at No. 10 on the U.K.'s Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart, ... More marking his first top 10 hit in the genre-specific ranking. (Photo by Han Myung-Gu/WireImage) Throughout his career, J-Hope has tried his hand at many different genres of music. As a member of BTS, he's conquered K-pop, making history as the most successful group of all time in that style. He has also scored many wins in the more general pop field, both as part of that septet and on his own. Usually, when working as a soloist, J-Hope is known as a rapper. He's produced a number of hip-hop tunes, and Billboard often classifies his work as rap. That's also proving to be the case in the United Kingdom, where his latest solo cut reaches one genre-specific tally as the Official Charts Company joins Billboard in declaring J-Hope's work no longer pop, but squarely in the hip-hop/R&B space. "Sweet Dreams," J-Hope's latest single, opens on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart this week. That tally ranks the bestselling tunes throughout the United Kingdom that can be classified as hip-hop, R&B, or rap. The new tune, a collaboration with Miguel, scores an important debut this time around. J-Hope launches his latest track at No. 10 on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart. "Sweet Dreams" earns the superstar his first placement inside the highest tier on that list, and just his second appearance overall. J-Hope first landed on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles ranking almost exactly two years ago on the chart dated March 16, 2023. He was joined by J. Cole on the collaboration "On the Street." That track spent just one frame at No. 24. As it kicks off its time inside the top 10 on the hip-hop and R&B tally, "Sweet Dreams" soars even higher on a number of other U.K.-based rosters. The tune, which may be the first taste of an upcoming project, opens at No. 1 on the Official Single Sales, Official Singles Downloads, and the Official Physical Singles charts. "Sweet Dreams" also reaches the Official Singles chart, the roster that measures the 100 most-consumed tracks of any style or in any language in the U.K. The collaboration narrowly fails to become a top 40 win for both J-Hope and Miguel, as it starts at No. 42, giving J-Hope his sixth solo smash.

J-Hope announces March comeback after military service

7 Feb - BTS member J-Hope is making a highly anticipated return to the music scene with a new single release this March, as confirmed by Big Hit Music on 6 February. The entertainment company has kept fans intrigued, stating, "We will officially tell you the exact date of the comeback later." This marks J-Hope's first musical project since completing his military service in October 2024. His last release, "On the Street," dropped in March 2023 before his military enlistment. During his service, Big Hit maintained his presence in the industry by releasing his special album "HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1." The performer isn't just stopping at new music - he's also taking to the stage for a solo concert series titled "Hope on the Stage." The shows will run from February 28 to March 2 at the prestigious KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park, giving fans multiple opportunities to witness his return to live performance. This dual comeback through both new music and live performances signals a strong return to the entertainment scene for the K-pop idol. (Photo Source: J-Hope IG)
