Drake Breaks Record For Most Diamond-Certified Singles In RIAA History
Drake has separated himself from the pack even further. This week, the 38-year-old rapper broke the record for the most RIAA Diamond-certified singles in history after two of his classic songs broke the 10 million units threshold. 2009's 'Best I Ever Had' and 2013's 'Hold On, We're Going Home' featuring Majid Jordan were the latest Drizzy records to go Diamond, joining 'God's Plan,' 'One Dance,' 'Hotline Bling,' 'SICKO MODE,' 'Life Is Good,' 'Work,' 'Love Me,' and 'No Guidance.' These 10 records make him the first artist to reach that milestone, whether it be albums or songs. Garth Brooks runs behind him with nine Diamond-certified albums. Post Malone has 9 Diamond-certified singles. The Toronto superstar is also 2025's No. 1 best-selling artist in the United States based on total album units, according to Chart Data. LPs like Take Care and For All The Dogs still chart well, but it's the addition of his February collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, that has aided in the milestone. Earlier this month, the 21-song effort officially crossed the one million units threshold, thus making it another Platinum album for the powerhouse. Drake added another No. 1 album to his resume with $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which was also PARTYNEXTDOOR's first No. 1 album achieving the highest first-week sales. 'Gimme A Hug' was the initial standout record, debuting at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. 'Nokia' was more of a slow-riser, initially debuting at No. 10 but slowly climbing to No. 2. He added to the record's momentum with the greyscale 'Nokia' music video at the end of March, which was loaded with symbolism and cultural references to Toronto. Currently, the part-time crooner is inviting fans to conceive their own music video treatment for the cult favorite 'Somebody Loves Me,' so time will tell when that visual lands. Drake And PARTYNEXTDOOR Announce Summer 2025 Overseas Tour '$ome $pecial $hows 4 U'
Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have one of the most popular projects of the year, and now they're bringing the function overseas. The duo recently announced a joint tour, $ome $pecial $hows 4 U, with stops in Europe and the United Kingdom. They let the world know they'll be hitting the road once again via Instagram in a collaborative post with the Drake Related page earlier this week. Their string of performances will kick off with the 6 God's three-night headlining set at Wireless Festival in London, England, from July 11th to July 13th. Drizzy will be joined by PND and Summer Walker the first night, 'The Mandem' on the second, and Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel on the final evening. Given his affinity for UK rappers and previous collaborations with Central Cee, Dave, Skepta, and more, it is easy to assume who will be part of 'The Mandem' joining him for the second Wireless Festival show. They'll then take a quick break before making stops in Birmingham, Manchester, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, and Berlin. The tour will end in September with two shows in Hamburg, Germany. Tickets go on sale this Friday (June 6) on either or This will be Drake's second tour of 2025, following his trek through Australia back in February. The Anita Max Win tour went viral several times for him sporting a hoodie with bullet holes that had smoke coming out of them, and him making several speeches about the fact that he is 'still alive' despite all he endured in 2024 with the rap beef versus Kendrick Lamar and other rappers. The tour was unfortunately cut short due to scheduling conflicts, but the 38-year-old artist promised Australia that he wouldn't let another decade pass by before coming back to perform. PARTYNEXTDOOR joined him down under right around when they released their joint album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U on Valentine's Day. $$$4U is a 21-song effort that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit 'Nokia.' Jessie J Reveals ‘Early Breast Cancer' Diagnosis: ‘Cancer Sucks in Any Form'
British singer Jessie J has revealed that she had been recently diagnosed with 'early breast cancer.' The musician (born Jessica Cornish) shared the health update on social media on Tuesday (June 3), telling her followers that the diagnosis came shortly before the release of recent single 'No Secrets' in April. 'I'm highlighting the word 'early,'' she explained. 'Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding on to the word 'early.'' Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR Announce ‘$ome $pecial $hows 4 U.K.' Tour Dates
Drake has expanded his upcoming summer tour with his newly-announced $ome $pecial $hows 4 UK run through the United Kingdom and Europe with PARTYNEXTDOOR. Earlier this year it was announced that Drake would headline Wireless Festival in London on all three nights (July 11-13), and the Canadian superstar will now expand his run to include shows at Birmingham's Utilita Arena (July 20, 21) and Manchester's Co-op Live (July 25, 26) alongside PARTYNEXTDOOR.
