Drake at Manchester's Co-op Live: timings, set list, last-minute tickets and everything you need to know

Time Out3 days ago
Before his shows at London's Wireless Festival earlier this month, it had been more than six years and a worldwide pandemic since Drake's UK fans last saw him live. But now the wait is finally over. The rapper has made a mega return to our shores with his $ome $pecial $hows 4 UK Tour, and after three nights in Birmingham, he's now bringing the show to Manchester.
The tour is inspired by the collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which Drake created alongside fellow Canadian musician PARTYNEXTDOOR, who is coming along for the ride and will feature each night of the tour.
Drake is set to play three huge nights at the Co-op Live in Manchester this weekend, and, based on his Birmingham shows, you can expect to hear hit after hit. Here's everything you need to know about upcoming Drake's Manchester gigs.
When is Drake playing Co-op live?
The 'Hotline Bling' rapper is playing three dates at the Co-op Live on July 25, 26, and 28.
What time do doors open?
General admission doors will open at 7pm, but members of the Co-op backstage club will be able to enter an hour earlier at 6pm. VIP ticket holders who are entitled to premium entry will be allowed in at 6.30pm through the Premium doors.
What time will Drake come on stage?
The support will likely begin at 8.15pm, with Drake finally taking to the stage at around 9.15pm. That's based on timings from his Birmingham dates, so they could be slightly different. It's worth arriving in plenty of time to make sure you don't accidentally miss your favourite tune.
Who is supporting Drake in Manchester?
As we mentioned earlier, this whole tour is in celebration of a collaborative project between Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, who will be his support for all six dates. PND is a Canadian rapper who was the first person ever to be signed to Drake's record label, so he comes very highly commended by the big man himself.
What's the seating plan?
Here's the seating plan for Drake's shows at the Co-Op live, including an unconventional stage setup:
Setlist
The setlist could change, but here is the full setlist from the Birmingham shows, including four songs which feature PARTYNEXTDOOR:

Can you still get tickets?
If you were too slow to get tickets when they went on sale last month, you're in luck: there's still quite a few available for all three nights. The best availability is on Monday July 28, so if there's somewhere specific you'd like to sit that night is your best bet. There are standing and seating tickets to choose from each day on Ticketmaster here and Stubhub here. As always, make sure everything is legit when buying from resale sites.
What's Co-op Live's bag policy?
Everyone is welcome to bring one back each to the Co-op live, but that's it. Your bag also has to be small – A4 size or smaller – and backpacks, travel cases, laptop bags and large tote bags are will not be allowed inside.
Banned items
As you probably expect, you can't just bring anything into the arena. Obviously, explosives and sharp objects are banned, but there are a few things you might not have thought of, like large umbrellas, which you aren't allowed. Here's a non-exhaustive list of banned items from the Co-Op live:
Horns
Whistles
Drums
Flagpoles
Large umbrellas
Laptops
iPads
GoPros
The venue also states it will confiscate 'any other item which in our reasonable opinion, may cause danger or disruption to any event or to other visitors (regardless of whether such item is illegal or is carried for specific purposes)'. You can find the full list of banned items here.

'I've seen Sugababes live – you'd be a fool to miss out on their set at Brighton Pride'

Sugababes are set to headline the amazing Brighton Pride this weekend (Sunday, August 3), and in a time when nostalgia is really having a moment, I couldn't recommend that you go and see them more. What's more, Sugababes ' music is uplifting and empowering to the LGBTQ + community, with themes such as empowerment, self-expression, and resilience present in most of their bangers. Brighton Pride is an annual LGBTQ+ festival and parade held in Brighton, England. It is one of the largest and most popular Pride events in the United Kingdom, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The celebration typically includes a vibrant parade through the city, live music performances, community events, and a festival in Preston Park. I was lucky enough to go and see them perform at the Co-Op Live in Manchester, and they provided fun and major nostalgia in spades. Yes, they may not be as slick with choreography, but what they lack in jumping around the stage, they more than make up for in vocal prowess. When Sugababes burst onto the scene, I was barely walking and talking. But their music became such an iconic cornerstone of the crop tops, baseball caps, and dresses with jeans era, that my friends and I adored them as we made our way through primary school. I remember when 'About You Now' was released, and I downloaded it on my pink flip Nokia. That's what the Sugababes represent to me: pure nostalgia, good vibes, and no negativity. Luckily I was able to see Sugababes live recently at their Manchester show back in April, and if their Brighton Pride performance is anything like this one, you're in for a real treat: At the Manchester's Co-op Live show, Sugababes took to the stage, and the crowd roared as the original three-piece band, consisting of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy, performed their first song. They've always been way more known for their vocal skills than their showiness on stage, and their singing was pitch-perfect throughout the whole show. There were songs like 'Hole in the Head' and 'Red Dress,' and people were remembering the lyrics from compartments of their brains they thought were closed off from years and years ago. The audience participation was so fun, so in Brighton I'm sure you're going to be in for an even bigger treat, and Keisha even joked that they were singing live as Mutya needed a drink so she could perform to the best of her ability. Being surrounded by people who know every single song is such a privilege, and I think Sugababes fans will be out in force this weekend in Brighton. When I saw them in Manchester, however, the woman next to me did shout, 'Play push the button and right round' impatiently, showing some were there for the big bangers only. Of course, as with every good gig, the artist will save the best until last, which I assume they will do again in Brighton, and the evening ended with their best singles, 'About You Now' and 'Push the Button', which everyone will know and scream at the top of their lungs. Let's be real, most people at Brighton Pride will be OG fans, having downloaded the MP3 files of early Sugababes songs, desperately writing down the lyrics to learn them. We all pretended to be in a girl band at playtime, so if you're going to Brighton Pride this weekend, go live out your best girl band dreams.

Meghan Markle's ex-pal 'splits with her husband after 16 years of marriage'

Jessica Mulroney, the former best friend of Meghan Markle, is reportedly "sad but relieved" over her shock separation from her husband Ben, after also cutting ties with the Duchess of Sussex Former best friend of Meghan Markle, Jessica Mulroney, has split from her husband after 16 years of marriage, according to reports. ‌ After a turbulent few years, the Canadian stylist and her husband Ben are said to have parted ways, after she also lost contact with her former friend Meghan. ‌ The fallout with the Duchess of Sussex was allegedly prompted by a racism row that left branded her as 'toxic' in the Toronto social scene, and no longer in touch with one of her closest friends. As news of the couple's separation broke, a Toronto source said that Jessica was not keeping quiet about her newly single status. It comes after Prince Harry's devastating loss in royal rift was exposed as Meghan 'holds the cards'. ‌ The source told Page Six that Mulroney attended a wedding in recent weeks and was not wearing her wedding ring, and spoke freely about her separation to other wedding guests. In addition, her husband Ben didn't attend the nuptials. "They've split," a Canadian source told the publication, "Jessica seemed sad, but also relieved to have some clarity." Another insider in the know confirmed they have separated "some time ago". ‌ One of the last times that Mulroney mentioned Ben, with whom she shares three children, on her Instagram was back in March 2024 when she joked about them both forgetting their wedding anniversary. Jessica's separation comes after her years-long friendship with Meghan came to a dramatic end several years ago. The women first bonded in Toronto when Meghan was working on the TV show Suits, years before she first met Prince Harry. Meghan and Jessica quickly hit it off, and were spotted side-by-side through many monumental moments, including Meghan's 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, where her three children had roles in the ceremony. Jess is even said to have come along on one of Meghan and Harry's official royal tours to New Zealand, Australia, and Tsonga. ‌ However, during the early days of the Covid pandemic in 2020, an incident saw Jessica be accused of "problematic" behaviour, is reported to have caused a major falling out between Meghan and Jess. Amid the Black Lives Matter protests, lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter alleged in an 11-minute video that after she had posted a Black Lives Matter call to action post, the two women had got into a row over DM and claimed Jess had threatened the blogger's connections with brands and sponsors. ‌ "If you go to the press over this nonsense and threaten to go to your followers, I won't be afraid to go to brands and tell them what you are doing to me," Jess said in a message, which Sasha called "textbook white privilege" but said she didn't believe Jess was a "racist". According to reports from the Daily Mail, Jessica made a point of Meghan's mixed race background in a comment on the video, saying to Sasha she was "unequivocally sorry", adding: "As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre. It was deeply educational." Jessica issued a multitude of public apologies. ‌ Page Six reported at the time that the controversy gave Meghan the "excuse" she had wanted for some time to cut her best pal off. A source was quoted as saying that Meghan had already felt like Jess was trying to boost her professional opportunities based on her close bond with the Duchess, and "'make a career out of the friendship". The insider added: "The white privilege row has really given Meghan the excuse she was waiting for to cut Jess off for good...I don't know what the tipping point was, but Jess has been on the outs for some time."

Stylist Jessica Mulroney - who was once very close with the Duchess of Sussex - has reportedly separated from her partner Ben, with whom she shares three children. It is understood that Meg's former close pal has been spotted without her wedding ring. Meghan and Jessica were once best friends, with Jessica's three children appearing as pageboys and bridesmaids at Meghan's 2018 Windsor wedding. But the pair fell out two years later when Jessica was embroiled in a race row with Black Canadian lifestyle blogger Sacha Exeter. In 2020, the mum-of-three was accused of abusing her "wealth and privilege" by the influencer in an attempt to shut her up in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movement. The high profile spat, in which Jessica appeared to threaten Sasha with legal action in a private message after publicly apologising, reportedly left the Duchess of Sussex 'mortified.' The Canadian stylist has issued two public apologies, but Meghan is believed to have kept her distance. Jessica has previously shared cryptic posts about "losing friends and finding better ones" since the pair's public fall out. Jessica shared a quote on Instagram which said: 'Life changes. You lose love. You lose friends. "You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined would be gone. 'And then, without even realising it, these pieces come back. New love enters. Better friends come along. 'And a stronger, wiser you, is staring back in the mirror.' After the incident, Jessica lost her job on ABC's Good Morning America along with a number of fashion deals. Meghan reportedly met celebrity stylist Jessica Mulroney, whose father-in-law is former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, while she was living in Toronto filming Suits. Denise Palmer-Davies, director of PR agency Borne Media, told Fabulous, it is 'no coincidence' that Meghan struggles to keep friends. 'Meghan's friendships, particularly those that have broken down, are interesting," she said. "While we are all guilty of not staying in regular contact with people, it is quite unusual for an adult woman to lose so many friends. "It doesn't seem like a coincidence and there have long been reports about her conduct, particularly towards her employees. "It really isn't a good look brand or PR wise if there are continuous reports about behaviour and broken friendships. People will start to question why. 'It's little wonder she appears desperate to cling on to her friendships with the likes of high profile stars Ellen [Degeneres] and Oprah, it shows she can at least hold some relationships down.'
