Peppa Pig fans shocked after discovering answer to 21-year-old mystery

Peppa Pig fans have been left shocked after discovering the cartoon character's real name. Despite being on our screens for 21 years, fans of the show had no idea what the first name was of the main character. In February, viewers were baffled by the 'bonkers' way Mummy Pig chose to announce her pregnancy. The cartoon appeared on Good Morning Britain where she exclusively informed presenter Richard Arnold that she was expecting her third child. Some viewers questioned whether they were hallucinating as they watched the breakfast show. But now it appears there is even more drama with the show after it was revealed that Peppa is in fact the pig's middle name. Did you know Peppa Pig's real name? According to Good Find Toys, Peppa's full name is Pepperius Peppa Pig, MailOnline reported. @shannonnx14 wrote on X: 'Peppa pigs full name is Pepperius Peppa Pig. You learn something new every day.' Last year, Metro exclusively revealed how despite becoming one of the most popular children's TV show ever made, 20 years ago bosses were concerned about people 'getting on board' with Peppa Pig. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the show, Richard Ridings, known as Daddy Pig, said: 'At the time I thought a family of pigs was a bit weird. 'But as soon as you see it, you get it, and hear the script and how witted they are, it does make sense.' He added: 'I thought, I wanted to be involved even if it was tiny, but who could imagine it being so big across the world.' More Trending Peppa Pig first aired on TV Channel 5 back in May 2004. Created by Astley Baker Davies, the show has been broadcast in over 180 countries and dubbed in over 40 languages. View More » Peppa Pig is available to watch on Channel 5. Got a story? Peppa Pig fans left reeling after learning iconic character's real name

As the excitement builds for the birth of Peppa Pig's baby sister, news has reached fans that the creature is using her middle name - and her full title has caused a stir! Peppa Pig fans still coming to terms with the imminent arrival of the hog's baby sister have been left stunned after discovering the star's real name. The animated show, which has told the story of Peppa, who lives with Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, and her little brother George for more than two decades, announced the pregnancy in February and last week a gender reveal confirmed a baby sister will be joining the family. ‌ As if that wasn't enough, the iconic character's actual name has just come to light - and some fans are struggling to get their heads around it all. Adding some spice to the cartoon, Good Find Toys have revealed her fully name is actually Pepperius Peppa Pig - and we're really not too sure what to think. ‌ The news found its way onto X and one person wrote: "Peppa Pig's real name being Pepperius Peppa Pig is making me scream!'" Another needed to hear it more than once, saying: "DID YOU KNOW "Peppa" is Peppa Pig's middle name and her full name is Pepperius Peppa Pig': 'Do you know Peppa Pig's real name? it's actually Papperius Peppa Pig!': 'Peppa Pigs full name is Pepperius Peppa Pig. You learn something new every day." Last Friday things turned a little weird as the Battersea Power Station chimneys in London will be lit up in pink to show that Mummy Pig is expecting a baby girl. A third child in the series was already covered in a pregnancy-themed episode, coinciding with Mother's Day in March. Viewers can expect to see the new baby on screen in the autumn, but some could be in for a treat before then. The animated show announced that Peppa Meets The Baby, an hour-long format will come out on May 30. The song-filled screening features 10 brand-new episodes, as Peppa and George prepare for the arrival of their baby sister. The Peppa Pig store at the power station, turned shopping mall and accommodation complex, is fundraising in support of NCT (National Children's Trust) the UK's leading charity for pregnancy and parents on Friday. The charity is partnered with Peppa Pig in the UK. The gender reveal episode will air on YouTube on May 3 as part of the Peppa Pig Tales series. Peppa Pig began in 2004 on Channel 5 Milkshake and Nick Jr, and has been a global success with theme parks in the UK and elsewhere. The show has been broadcast in over 40 languages and is available in more than 180 territories. Co-created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker, from animation studio Astley Baker Davies, the series has has also featured on collectable Royal Mail stamps. It was acquired by toy company Hasbro in 2019 as part of its purchase of Entertainment One's brands.
