BBAU is first choice for over 800 candidates

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) became the first preference of around 800 candidates from across the country who confirmed their admission against 2,000 seats in the first round of online counselling. According to university officials, this was the highest admission taken after fee submission in the first phase of counselling in the last three years. "We are extremely happy with the response from the candidates. On July 7, we declared the centralised score list for candidates who cracked the CUET with high scores. Our 40% seats got filled, which means that BBAU is among the first choice of candidates from across the country," said BBAU admission chairperson Prof Amit Kumar Singh. He said a candidate who appears for CUET fills multiple universities, be it Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University or others. Interestingly, if around 800 candidates locked seats who hold high CUET scores, it reflects that BBAU is their first choice. He said online counselling was held from July 8 to 10, during which candidates got their document verification done and submitted fees. Vice-chancellor Prof RK Mittal said: "BBAU's A++ NAAC grade and good rankings across four NIRF categories in the previous year is the reason for the good response from CUET high scorers."

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) issued new admission policy notifications based on the decisions taken in the 82nd meeting of the academic council of the university on Friday. These notifications included the admission policies for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, guidelines for the PhD programme, and revised norms for the Non-NET Fellowship. "According to admission policy for UG programmes for the academic session 2025–26, the students will be able to register online through the university's official website. The admission-related guidelines were sent to all concerned departments and the Amethi campus," said vice chancellor Prof RK Mittal. She said that the admission policy for PG programmes for the same academic session was also approved. This policy aims to ensure a quality-based and transparent admission process. Students will be required to apply online as part of the procedure. Patna: Altogether 89 teachers, including 39 women, from 22 states attended the monthlong programme 'Guru Dakhsta' (teacher induction) organised by Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU) at Pusa (Samastipur) on Tuesday to enhance the skills and knowledge of its newly appointed the programme, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research ( ICAR )'s deputy director general R C Aggarwal emphasized the need for capacity building of teachers in higher education institutions as trained manpower is the backbone of any university. He appealed to the teachers to teach compassionately and encourage students to think as the guest of honour, RPCAU's former vice-chancellor R K Mittal congratulated the newly recruited teachers and asked them to work hard to turn this institution into a world-renowned his presidential address, RPCAU's vice-chancellor P S Pandey highlighted the rigorous selection process involved in the appointment of new teachers of the university. "The ' Guru Dakshta ' programme has been so designed as to further empower all these bright minds brought from across the country," he registrar Mrityunjay Kumar and programme director Ram Dutt also addressed the programme will cover 87 lectures by esteemed experts from academia, research and industry. Held under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof R K Mittal, the event themed 'Unveiling Hidden Truths' brought together a diverse lineup of speakers from diverse fields, who inspired students to think big and lead with purpose. Chief guest Dinesh Raj Modi, professor and faculty of biotech department, BBAU, said the platform empowered speakers and shaped opinion of talented individuals. He emphasises that failure was the stepping stone to success and in today's era, along with knowledge, constant urge for learning was also needed. Captain Rajshree moved the audience with her story of resilience, drawing from her military and medical background. The event highlighted insights of leadership from Shishir Dixit, a former defence personnel and director of Centurion Defence Academy. He described three stages of leadership, starting with becoming a successful individual, followed by striving for excellence and finally dedicating oneself fully to their profession, becoming artists in their respective field. Priyank Bhardwaj and Chandan Mishra focused on business, coaching, branding and sales.
