Reaction to Texas basketball advancing to NCAA Tournament Final Four: 'TCU in hell'
Texas women's basketball defeated TCU 58-47 Monday to move to its first NCAA Tournament Final Four appearance since 2003. The Longhorns fended off the Horned Frogs, who cut the lead to single digits late in the fourth quarter before finally succumbing. Texas guards Madison Booker and Rori Harmon led the team in scoring, with 18 and 13 points, respectively. Now, they'll look to make a National Championship for the first time since 1986. To make it there, Texas will face South Carolina for the fourth time this season. Texas point guard Rori Harmon to return next season in bid to get Longhorns back to the Final Four
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas point guard Rori Harmon announced Wednesday she will return for a fifth season in bid to get the Longhorns back to the Final Four. Harmon has a medical redshirt season to use after a knee injury knocked her out of the 2023-24 season after just 12 games. Texas advanced to the Elite Eight that season. Texas made the Final Four this season for the first time since 2003. Harmon announced her decision in a post on the team's social media accounts. 'Let's finish what we started. Hook'em,' said Harmon, who averaged 9.3 points and 5.9 assists last season. She also was considered the team's top defender. Texas lost to Southeastern Conference rival South Carolina in a national semifinal. Harmon's return means the Longhorns will have three full-time starters back for next season, and will again pair her with All-American Madison Booker in the Texas backcourt. The Longhorns rose to their first No. 1 ranking 2004 this past season and made it to the Final Four for the first time since 2003. Texas won a share of the SEC title in its first season in the league. Harmon is a graduate student and is pursing a master's degree.

Final Four 2025 live updates, scores: South Carolina faces off against Texas for spot in NCAA tournament final
The women's Final Four has arrived, and it's all going down in Tampa on Friday night. First up, South Carolina will continue its quest to become the first repeat national champions since UConn won four straight from 2013 to 2016. It would be the Gamecocks' third title in four seasons, as they also won in 2022. But Vic Schaefer's Texas squad won't go down quietly, with redshirt senior Rori Harmon leading the way. In the nightcap, UConn's Paige Bueckers will continue her final push for a national championship, the sole mountain she has yet to climb in her collegiate career. But the Huskies will have to go through UCLA, which has been dominant all season (and all tournament) after winning the Big Ten Tournament in early March.
