YouTuber arrested for 'thousands of pounds worth of criminal damage caused to F1 car'
YouTuber Angryginge was arrested on suspicion of causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to an F1 car at Silverstone on Friday. Morgan Burtwistle, 23, was arrested by Northamptonshire Police alongside fellow YouTubers Chazza and SamHam on suspicion of causing criminal damage before being released without further action. A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "On Friday, July 4, Northamptonshire Police received a report that a classic Formula 1 car on display at Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix event had sustained several thousands of pounds worth of damage, which was alleged to have been caused by someone accessing the display stand and climbing into the vehicle. "Officers carried out initial inquiries, and suspects were identified. "Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle and taken into police custody. "Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, all three men were released with no further action." The trio were livestreaming from the British Grand Prix site. Chazza, real name Charlie, was seen squeezing into the cockpit of an F1 display vehicle during the event's practice day. In a video posted on YouTube on Monday, Burtwistle said he was taken to a police station for questioning before being held in a cell overnight for 15 hours. He said: 'I'm genuinely traumatised', and denied having caused any damage to the car, adding that he was not allowed to return to the British Grand Prix for the remainder of the event. In a statement to the BBC, a spokesperson for Silverstone confirmed that Burtwistle had been issued with a trespass notice as a result of 'anti-social behaviour', banning him from the Grand Prix. Burtwistle has earned a reputation as one of the UK's most popular streamers, having amassed 826,000 subscribers on YouTube. His video on the British Grand Prix has garnered 94,000 views to date. Having risen to fame through his content on FIFA and football, he also manages a Baller League team, plays for Red Bull's esports team and participated in Soccer Aid earlier this year. In an unrelated incident, the police force has also appealed to the public for any information concerning the theft of a steering wheel from a display vehicle at the F1 event this weekend. Northamptonshire Police has released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. It was reported to have happened at 2:30pm local time. Across the weekend, which saw around half a million people in attendance, a total of 34 crimes were reported for offences including theft, criminal damage, drug possession and assault. Those who know anything about the theft should call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 25000390674 as soon as possible.

They each denied the charges, with AngryGinge claiming he only sat in the vehicle. 'On Friday, July 4, Northamptonshire Police received a report that a classic Formula 1 car on display at Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix event had sustained several thousands of pounds worth of damage, which was alleged to have been caused by someone accessing the display stand and climbing into the vehicle,' A Northamptonshire Police spokesperson said. 'Officers carried out initial inquiries, and suspects were identified. 'Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle and taken into police custody. 'Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, all three men were released with no further action.' The influencer boasts 1.8 million TikTok followers and over 800,000 subscribers, with 1.2 Instagram followers, and he made even more of a name for himself at England's Soccer Aid charity match last month, winning the man of the match award. He claimed he spent 15 hours in a cell and was not even interviewed before being released alongside his friends. He revealed his ordeal later on stream, wearing an orange jumpsuit and a fake pair of handcuffs. 'For sitting in a car, they got us, you don't do that at F1,' AngryGinge said. 'They locked us up for watching somebody else sitting in a car - they locked SamHam up for watching somebody else sit in a car. 'They locked Chazza up for sitting in a car, criminal damage, they tried to say. 30 grand, they tried to say.' 'Security's then come over, a very funny little moment where I've tried to grass Chaz up. 'Two hours have gone past, you'd have thought I assaulted someone, let me tell you … Chazza has sat in an F1 car. 'I offered to show him the video there and then. 'The words, okay, from the gentleman in the cap, 'there's no point, mate. You can show us at the station.' AngryGinge said the trio were taken into custody and asked if they wanted a solicitor. When they declined the police wondered why. 'Done f*** all wrong mate,' he said. '10 o'clock in the morning, I'm thinking it is, and the door opens, I'm thinking it might be interview time. 'Officer opens it, 'you're free to go, there's no further action.' 'I've just spent 15 hours in a concrete block, and I'm now being told, no further action. 'I've not been questioned, interviewed, and that's that. Lando Norris came out on top in a rain-soaked British GP on Sunday. He qualified in third place behind his team-mate Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen, who took pole. But an eventful race in which Verstappen spun out on multiple occasions and Piastri was penalised by ten seconds allowed Norris to seize the initiative and he claimed his fourth win of the season.

With the game poised at 4-4 in the latter stages, he went in for a strong slide tackle on Carlos Tevez, who made sure to leave something on him during the collision - a nasty cut on his leg. Angry Ginge shared a photo of the gash on his leg afterwards, writing 'cheers Tevez, t***' on social media, but he was not done there. Taking to Twitch, he bragged about his programme had been signed by other Soccer Aid favourites, before launching into a re-imagination of 'Zombie' by the Cranberries. 'In your head, in your head, Tevez, Tevez, Tevez-ez-ez, I'm in your head, in your head, Tevez, Tevez, Tevez-ez-ez,' the 23-year-old sang.
