Shun drugs: Arunachal MLA to youths
1 2 Itanagar: Pongchau-Wakka MLA Honchun Ngandam on Sunday asked youths to shun drugs which ruins lives. Taking part in the Sampoornata Abhiyaan Samman Samaroh at Pongchau in Longding district, Ngandam asked the youths to make constructive contribution towards the society by living a meaningful life. He exhorted all to make best use of the opportunities which are being provided through the interventions of the govt. The MLA, on the occasion, felicitated Phohee Wangsa, state topper in CBSE Class XII, with a cash reward of Rs 50, also inaugurated Akankasha Haat, which showcases the products of artisans. Koraput gets award under aspirational dist programme
Koraput: Koraput district received the silver medal at the state-level Sampoornata Abhiyaan Samman Samaroh held at the Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The event, chaired by chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi recognised outstanding performance under the aspirational district programme. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Collector (Koraput) Manoj Satyawan Mahajan received the award on behalf of the district. Koraput was recognised for achieving saturation in five key indicators. These are antenatal care (ANC) registration, screening for diabetes and hypertension, distribution of soil health cards, provision of school textbooks and electrification of secondary schools, according to an official release. Adding to the district's achievements, Laxmipur and Lamtaput blocks were also awarded silver medals for their performance under the aspirational block programme, marking a significant milestone for the region.
