Muscat: Inaugurated under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth recently, 'Action Point' has been engineered to cater to a wide audience – from hobby shooters and competitive marksmen to private security agencies and government entities – in a controlled, immersive, and highly secure environment. The Special Projects Division of Khimji Ramdas LLC has successfully completed and handed over a state-of-the-art Indoor Shooting Range 'Action Point', a one-of-its-kind world-class sporting facility designed to elevate Oman's standing in shooting sports and tactical training. 'Action Point's – Indoor Shooting Ranges' has been developed by the Special Projects Division of Khimji Ramdas LLC in collaboration with Cubic Technologies Singapore PTE LTD – global leaders in defense training systems. The state-of-the-art Indoor Shooting Range, represents a one-of-its-kind, fully equipped facility that delivers an unparalleled live-fire experience. Located at the Active Oman Centre (Oman Automobile Association), it combines international expertise with local execution, showcasing the Sultanate's commitment to advanced sports infrastructure and youth engagement. The facility features six specialized shooting ranges: Two 25-meter pistol ranges with retrievable targets for 9mm pistols; one 50-meter tactical range featuring LOMAH (Location of Miss and Hit) target systems; one 100-meter rifle range with retrievable targets for 5.56mm caliber rifles; a globally unique indoor shotgun (skeet/trap) range; an air gun range (currently under development). All ranges are equipped with smart bullet traps that safely collect projectiles into designated channels, advanced electronic target systems for real-time feedback, and air purification systems that ensure a healthy and safe environment by removing dust and gases generated by shooting. The facility is designed to cater to a wide spectrum of users – ranging from first-time visitors and hobby shooters to competitive marksmen, private security agencies, and government entities. The experience begins with a comprehensive safety briefing at a dedicated reception and briefing area, followed by closely monitored sessions where each visitor is accompanied by a qualified instructor who ensures safety and provides technical guidance throughout.

Muscat - HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, has issued a decision to form the "Omani Cultural Laboratories" (OCL) project team. The initiative constitutes a collaborative effort undertaken by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Cultural Club and Bait Al Zubair Foundation. The project seeks to encourage initiatives, partnerships and cooperation among various sectors to promote cultural action locally and internationally. The OCL project keeps pace with the Sultanate of Oman's cultural strategy's objectives, notably in terms of promoting innovation, studies and research that enhance creativity and development, and the extent to which these are linked to the pillar of cultural communication. This is envisaged through the exchange of expertise (in Oman and abroad), cultural dialogue with countries around the world, partnership and integration with relevant local and international institutions. The OCL aim to strengthen the bonds of cultural and civilizational collaboration and to highlight Omani people's efforts and accumulated knowledge through the implementation of research projects, cultural programmes, exhibitions, meetings and other events that explore shared cognitive values ​​with nations through cooperation with cultural and academic institutions abroad. Through its direct supervision of the OCL project, the Ministry affirms its commitment to support joint cultural initiatives, integrate institutional efforts and contribute to the effective representation of Omani identity and consolidation of the Sultanate of Oman's presence on the regional and international cultural arenas, based on the concept of cultural diplomacy as a strategic tool for communicating with the world.

Images of the event, showing Crown Prince Sayyid Theyazin with Sultan Haitham and Her Highness Ahad bint Abdullah, were circulated on royal news platforms shortly after the ceremony. The Crown Prince, who currently serves as Oman's Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, holds the distinction of being the first to bear the title of Crown Prince in the country's modern history. The title was introduced following a 2021 amendment to Oman's Basic Law. His bride, Alya bint Mohammed bin Hilal Al Busaidiyah, belongs to one of Oman's prominent families. Her uncle, Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, serves as the governor of Muscat. The marriage follows a public announcement of the Crown Prince's engagement earlier this year, made by his aunt, Ma'ani Al Busaidiyah, via a brief social media post in January 2025. At the time, no further details about the bride were disclosed. Crown Prince Theyazin was previously married to his cousin, Mayan bint Shihab Al Said, though that marriage ended in early 2022 without an official statement regarding the separation. Educated in the United Kingdom, Theyazin earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in history from the University of Oxford. He later graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in July 2022, one of Britain's most prestigious military institutions. The Crown Prince began his career at Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2013 and later served as Second Secretary at the Omani Embassy in London. In August 2020, he was appointed Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth. Known for his strong support for youth initiatives and cultural and sporting events, he plays an active role in national activities such as Oman Youth Day and the Sultan's Cup for football.

A number of Omani students studying in Japan reaffirmed that the Sultanate's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan provides opportunities in marketing and promoting the Omani heritage, tourism and investment potentials of the Sultanate of Oman. Student Aisha bint Hamoud Al Hashmi, from Waseda University in Tokyo, said that the participation of the Sultanate's pavilion in 2025 Expo, Osaka, Japan is a key opportunity for acquainting the Japanese companies and businessmen with the available investment opportunities in the economic fields coupled with acquainting them with the Omani identity, customs and traditions. She also valued the initiative taken by Sayyid Theyazin for meeting with the Omani students in Japan and for enquiring about their studies and specialisations. Fadwa bint Fahad Al Rawahi, from Hiroshima University said that the Sultanate's participation in this global event of 2025 Expo, Osaka, Japan is a strategic opportunity for boosting the Omani cultural identity and for promoting and showcasing the investment opportunities.
