Our top picks of Amazon's early Prime Day deals to get shoppers ready for summer

While Amazon's Prime Day event doesn't start until next week, the retail giant has some early deals available for shoppers to snap up. For those looking to save some money on their summer essentials this year, Amazon is set to hold its highly anticipated Prime Day event next week. With a variety of products across the website getting discounts, bargains hunters will have a field day grabbing all their must-have deals. What's even better is that the retail giant has decided to make their popular sale a four-day event. From July 8 to July 11, shoppers will be able to get their hands on new pieces of tech, fashion, beauty, garden furniture, homeware essentials and so much more for decent prices in this mega sale. However, this extended sale comes with a catch. While shoppers have more days to shop, this doesn't mean that all of the items will remain on sale for the full event. Some shoppers may see prices change over the four days or some deals may end early, reports the Mirror. In addition, shoppers will need to be an Amazon Prime Member to take part in the sale. Members need to spend £8.99 a month for the subscription, but this comes with a variety of perks. Prime members can get next day delivery on thousands of selected items, along with access to Prime Video and Prime Music. For those who are unsure if they want to start up a membership, Amazon is offering a 30-day free trial that shoppers can cancel at any time. Amazon isn't the only place that shoppers can get great deals this summer. For those looking for offers on beauty, Lookfantastic and Boots have plenty of deals available, while Boden is also hosting a huge sale across their clothing range. Additionally, for those who enjoy gardening, Yimbly - which is a marketplace owned by the Daily Record's parent company - currently has plenty of garden furniture down to bargain prices. Amazon slashes price of 'silent' Shark fan by 34% for heatwave

The Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan is currently reduced to £99 on Amazon, down from £149.99 - a saving of 34% Brits battling the sweltering heat can get some relief from the hot weather thanks to the massive savings on this top-rated Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless fan on Amazon. The popular retailer has slashed 34% off the price, down from £149.99 to £99 so shoppers will be keeping cool and saving money at the same time. What's even better is that the 4.4-star fan has rave reviews from customers, who praise it for being in a "different class of cooling." The fan boasts five separate fan settings and is designed to run for up to 24 hours. It can be used in and outdoors and it won't falter in the rain. It's also been designed to be 'quiet', something many of the online reviews have flagged too. Using the first speed should allow the fan to run for a whole 24 hours. When speed three is engaged, it has a battery life of up to six hours, reducing to two when speed five is selected. It features an easy-carry handle, and according to Shark, users can feel the breeze from '20 metres' away. Elsewhere, Dunelm is selling this 16-inch Black Pedestal Fan for £25 that is 'selling fast' on the Dunelm website, reports the Liverpool Echo. There's also the Midea SmartAir Fast Chill Tower with a 5L Water Tank is currently on sale on Amazon, down from £119.99 to £99.99 Reviewers have been gushing over the fan on Amazon. One happy customer raved: "Best fan ever! It's quiet, but so cooling and looks strong sturdy and trendy. I've got it on an offer, so £50 off. Spent so much money on fans but this is a different class of cooling. Like the regular Shark products (own loads) does what it says on the box with a little bit of pizzazz added. Great product." A second review enthused: "This fan is amazing, when I took it out the box I pressed the on button to test it. I continued unpacking it thinking it had no charge as i could not hear anything. The fan was pointing away from me so never felt the breeze. Turned out that it was on and so quiet I could not hear it. I had it on all of last night and slept all the way through for the first time in a long time. Brilliant fan!". "Amazing! Especially right now with the heatwave and generally warmer weather. It's a powerful fan and versatile. Highly recommend! It's very good quality!". Meanwhile, a fourth delighted shopper shared: "Another excellent product from Shark. Build quality is superb and it's very easy to use right out of the box as there are little labels all over it directing you what to do. "This is in addition to a very helpful quick start guide so you should be fine no matter what level of confidence you have with appliances. Fan power ranges from a nice gentle breeze to full blast and on low, you can barely hear it which is nice." Yet, some buyers raised issues, particularly concerning the battery life on higher settings. A balanced viewpoint came from one moderate critique: "When using this fan as a plug in its brilliant and I'm very happy with it in every way but when using it on battery which is fully charged and on the second lowest setting the battery doesn't last long."

Airflow can be tailored by using the three speed settings it comes complete with, while the firm's advanced engineering means it operates at an "imperceptible level", making the fan for use in the living room, office space and even overnight. Igenix DF0030 Oscillating Tower Fan £29.99 Amazon Buy here Product Description A few other nifty features include a two-hour timer, alongside an intelligent overheat protection that automatically shuts down the fan in case it overheats, adding a level of protection and peace of mind to buyers. Another popular option on Amazon for the heatwave is the Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan that is now £99, down from £149.99. While it features a different design, it is said to provide a breeze that can be felt "by up to 20M away." Like the tower-style design? One shopper exclaimed: "I was in two minds because of some negative reviews! Don't be fooled! This fan is absolutely superb! Very quiet, I actually find it soothing, it doesn't rattle, it doesn't smell. "It doesn't do anything wrong; it's a 5 star off me, I love it, kids love it, we all love it. Absolute life saver in this heat. Can't wait for bed tonight." Someone who called it "the perfect antidote to the heatwave" added: "Really like this tower-style oscillating fan. "It has a sleek and classy design, turns beautifully, it's not too loud (obviously it's not silent but it won't mean you have to shout to anyone else in the room in normal conversation), and the timer function means you can't forget about it and leave it on for hours on end, running up your electric bill while you're out of the house." Another delighted shopper wrote: "Works great! Ideal for the hot weather. It was a Godsend during the heatwave, I was so glad I put it in my bedroom at night." Not everyone has been left impressed with the power and sound levels, as one three-star review read: "Good for space saving but too noisy for me to have in room and not powerful enough for the noise payoff!" Although, more customers were happy with their purchase, as another said: "Excellent fan, really makes a difference in the mini heatwave we recently had and cooled the area down. Very effective even on the lowest setting." While someone else praised: "This has been very helpful in the London summers/ heatwaves. Works well. Noise level is low. Occupies less space. Price is also reasonable. Highly recommended. Thank you." Beat the heat by purchasing the Igenix DF0030 Oscillating Tower Fan for under £30 on Amazon now.

Amazon slashes £50 off 'silent but powerful' Shark fan in time for weekend heatwave

Get prepared for the sticky summer days with a great quality fan There's a heatwave coming. Expect hot, sticky nights and airless days - or invest in a fan and say hello to a cool breeze, whatever the weather is doing outside. Amazon is selling the 4.5-starred Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan for £99, down from £149.99. That's £50 off the RRP. The fan can be used indoors or outdoors, thanks to its portable and cordless design. It's also rainproof, so if it gets left outside by accident, it shouldn't cause too much damage. Handily, it's super quiet, so the telly or radio can remain on without a whirring fan interfering. Elsewhere, Currys has the Dyson Cool Tower Fan for £269.99. It is pricier, but it is a Dyson, so pretty stylish. And has 10 different speeds, depending on how severe the heat is. Meanwhile, Debenhams has the Pro Breeze 32" Bladeless Tower Fan and Air Purifier, which is up for £94.99. It purifies and cools, and oscillates, meaning it can cool a full room easily. One customer said of the Shark FlexBreeze: 'This fan is ingenious. How much money have we all wasted looking for a fan that was supposed to be silent? This pretty much concludes that quest. This fan is all I ever wanted. When Shark said it's silent. It's silent. Full stop. I only just unboxed it, but it does all it says on the tin, but better than all other fans. My Dyson is going into the cupboard. It's well designed and looks and feels solid.' Another said, 'This fan is amazing. When I took it out of the box, I pressed the on button to test it. I continued unpacking it, thinking it had no charge, as I could not hear anything. The fan was pointing away from me, so I never felt the breeze. It turned out that it was on and so quiet that I could not hear it. I had it on all last night and slept all the way through for the first time in a long time. Brilliant fan!' A third added: 'Love the Shark fan range. Have several different ones and all are robust and good quality. Would recommend.' However, one shopper said: 'Although not the windiest of fans it's more than adequate for the job. Being on a small tripod and being cordless allows for it to be placed wherever you need it. The remote control works well, tried it from out in the hall and through doors with no problem. All functions on the remote work as intended. You have to manually adjust the angle up or down whilst the oscillation is taken care of by the machine. It's quiet in operation and at higher speeds you hear the airline rather than the noise of the fan spinning.' For those dreading the hot weather that's on its way, the Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan could be a game changer.
