'Sonalika Tractor' Uses Actress Monalisa's Pic For Bihar Residence Certificate. This Happens Next
Curated By : Last Updated: July 29, 2025, 23:08 IST In Bihar, not just a four-legged canine, but even an inanimate tractor seems to be vying for a residence certificate. (X) After the now well-known 'dog babu', another incident came into limelight from East Champaran district where an application had been moved in the name of one 'Sonalika Tractor' by using the photograph of Bhojpuri actress Monalisa, news agency PTI reported. The applicant allegedly submitted a photo of the popular Bhojpuri actress along with a residence certificate application under the name 'Sonalika Tractor', claiming descent from 'Swaraj Tractor' and 'Car Devi'. Upon verification, the authorities confirmed the application to be entirely fake. After Dog Babu, Sonalika Tractor received a residence certificate in Bihar with actress Monalisa's picture. Bihar is truly ahead of its time. DeshPremi (@shiromani2103) July 29, 2025 The fake application copy has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread discussions and criticism over lax verification procedures. Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat clarified that the online application dated July 17 was never entertained and a manhunt has been launched for the mischief monger. An FIR was registered at Kotwa police station, and the matter has now been handed over to the Cyber Crime Cell for deeper investigation, the report added. 'The application was rejected by the Circle Officer of Kotwa as soon as it was received. But the matter also involves the wrongful use of a photograph downloaded, apparently, from the internet. Hence, a case has been lodged at the police station concerned", the SP added. 'No certificate has been issued against the application. We are now trying to track down the user through the IP address. When caught, he will face action under the relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyay Samhita and IT Act," he added. Earlier on Monday, a similarly outrageous case came to light in Masaurhi (Patna), where a residence certificate was issued in the name of 'dog babu', born to 'kutta babu' and 'kutiya devi', much to the embarrassment of the administration, which got it promptly annulled. Moreover, besides lodging of an FIR, a computer operator was sacked for unmindfully forwarding the application and suspension was recommended for the revenue department official who heedlessly went on to issue the certificate. Swipe Left For Next Video View all The episode was lapped up by those opposing the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, which accepts residence certificates, but not Aadhaar cards and ration cards, from voters. ‘Won't Accept Harassment': Iran's Khamenei After Striking US Military Base In Qatar
Curated By : Last Updated: June 24, 2025, 07:09 IST Iran's Supreme leader Ayotollah Khamenei. (AP Photo) Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his first reaction after Tehran retaliated against the US by targeting the country's Al-Udeid military base in Qatar, said that Tehran won't accept any harassment under any circumstances. The supreme leader said that Iran didn't target the civilians and vowed not to submit to anyone's harassment. 'We didn't harm anyone. And we will not accept any harassment from anyone under any circumstances. And we will not submit to anyone's harassment; This is the logic of the Iranian nation," he said. His statement came after Iran retaliated against the US air strikes on nuclear facilities and fired missiles towards the military bases of the United States in Qatar and Iraq. The Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement and said that it 'targeted the Al-Udeid base in Qatar with a devastating and powerful missile attack in Operation Besharat Fatah". Iran will not leave its territorial integrity, sovereignty and national security unanswered under any circumstances, the Iranian Armed Forces said, in a message for 'the White House and its allies". According to a New York Times report, Iran had given advance notice to Qatar about the strike on the US base to minimise casualties. Issuing a statement on the huge development, the United States said that Iran fired ballistic missiles; however, there were no reports of US casualties. 'Al Udeid Air Base was attacked by short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles originating from Iran today. At this time, there are no reports of US casualties. We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide more information as it becomes available," the statement said. The retaliation came a day after the US bombed three nuclear sites in Iran and marked its entry into the Israel-Iran war. The US stealth B-2 bombers dropped 14 bunker-buster bombs — each weighing 30,000 pounds — on major nuclear enrichment sites in Iran. Swipe Left For Next Video View all Al-Udeid Air Base is a major US and coalition military base located in Qatar, southwest of the capital city Doha.
